and_o woman_n heart_n so_o as_o to_o exclude_v he_o from_o be_v any_o where_o else_o but_o as_o we_o know_v his_o presence_n fill_v heaven_n and_o earth_n so_o we_o believe_v that_o notwithstanding_o that_o the_o strong_a may_v be_v consolate_v therefore_o do_v our_o minister_n labour_n in_o the_o word_n and_o doctrine_n to_o convert_v sinner_n to_o christ_n jesus_n the_o gift_n of_o god_n and_o to_o build_v up_o saint_n in_o their_o most_o holy_a faith_n and_o to_o edify_v one_o another_o in_o love_n thus_o much_o in_o answer_n to_o the_o objection_n so_o i_o return_v to_o the_o point_n in_o do_v they_o preach_v in_o the_o evidence_n and_o demonstration_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o in_o a_o way_n of_o power_n whereby_o they_o be_v know_v to_o be_v of_o god_n as_o be_v the_o apostle_n see_v 1_o cor._n 2._o 1_o 4._o and_o the_o tendency_n of_o their_o ministry_n be_v to_o direct_v people_n to_o the_o teach_v of_o christ_n
say_v before_o it_o be_v still_o but_o one_o thing_n if_o right_o understand_v in_o its_o true_a notion_n and_o thus_o i_o choose_v to_o express_v it_o because_o thus_o i_o have_v find_v it_o viz._n a_o principle_n of_o divine_a light_n and_o life_n in_o christ_n jesus_n place_v in_o the_o conscience_n which_o discover_v both_o sin_n and_o duty_n to_o we_o and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o it_o reprove_v the_o one_o and_o enable_v to_o perform_v the_o other_o and_o this_o i_o know_v that_o a_o measure_n of_o the_o same_o be_v place_v in_o the_o conscience_n of_o all_o mankind_n by_o which_o they_o may_v see_v the_o right_a way_n be_v but_o their_o mind_n turn_v thereunto_o therefore_o let_v none_o slight_a or_o undervalue_v this_o light_n of_o jesus_n manifest_a in_o their_o conscience_n by_o call_v it_o as_o some_o have_v do_v a_o natural_a create_v insufficient_a light_n which_o will_v lead_v man_n down_o to_o utter_v darkness_n though_o sometime_o again_o these_o very_a person_n will_v confess_v that_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n as_o they_o call_v it_o ought_v to_o be_v follow_v as_o far_o as_o it_o will_v lead_v for_o say_v they_o though_o the_o obey_n it_o dictate_v will_n never_o bring_v man_n to_o heaven_n yet_o the_o disobey_v they_o will_v certain_o sink_v they_o down_o to_o hell_n hereby_o render_v the_o lord_n cruel_a to_o his_o creature_n as_o if_o he_o require_v they_o to_o follow_v a_o guide_n that_o will_v certain_o lead_v they_o amiss_o or_o leave_v they_o short_a of_o the_o place_n of_o rest_n and_o then_o will_v punish_v they_o for_o be_v misled_n or_o for_o sit_v down_o when_o they_o have_v no_o guide_n to_o show_v they_o the_o way_n to_o walk_v in_o and_o that_o from_o a_o purpose_n in_o himself_o to_o leave_v the_o great_a part_n of_o mankind_n without_o any_o other_o guide_n to_o direct_v they_o in_o matter_n of_o salvation_n but_o that_o that_o be_v insufficient_a that_o it_o must_v be_v a_o miracle_n if_o it_o show_v they_o the_o way_n to_o heaven_n according_a to_o their_o common_a answer_n when_o ask_v how_o those_o must_v be_v save_v who_o have_v not_o the_o scripture_n among_o they_o which_o these_o account_n the_o only_a rule_n to_o guide_n man_n why_o we_o leave_v they_o to_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n say_v they_o the_o lord_n may_v in_o a_o extraordinary_a manner_n bring_v some_o to_o heaven_n if_o he_o have_v any_o elect_n among_o they_o but_o whether_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v be_v save_v or_o not_o it_o be_v hard_a for_o we_o to_o determine_v thus_o they_o darken_v counsel_n by_o utter_v word_n without_o knowledge_n they_o say_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n be_v free_a and_o yet_o they_o make_v it_o a_o monopoly_n so_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v free_a to_o all_o nor_o must_v all_o be_v sharer_n in_o it_o neither_o will_v they_o allow_v the_o lord_n himself_o to_o dispense_v it_o nor_o yet_o to_o inspire_v his_o servant_n to_o go_v forth_o and_o preach_v it_o but_o arrogate_v to_o themselves_o a_o kind_n of_o sacerdotal_a right_n to_o be_v dispensers_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n and_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n because_o of_o some_o outward_a qualification_n acchieve_v by_o they_o as_o external_n part_v or_o humane_a learning_n although_o they_o never_o be_v call_v of_o god_n to_o the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n nor_o never_o have_v the_o word_n of_o reconciliation_n commit_v to_o they_o yet_o will_v they_o have_v people_n come_v to_o inquire_v of_o they_o the_o way_n to_o the_o kingdom_n though_o they_o be_v so_o narrow-spirited_n as_o to_o shut_v out_o the_o great_a number_n of_o mankind_n by_o absolute_a predestination_n not_o stick_v to_o affirm_v that_o god_n nor_o christ_n never_o purpose_v love_n nor_o salvation_n to_o a_o great_a part_n of_o mankind_n and_o that_o the_o come_v and_o suffering_n of_o christ_n never_o be_v intend_v nor_o can_v be_v useful_a to_o their_o justification_n but_o must_v and_o will_v be_v effectual_a for_o their_o condemnation_n so_o be_v void_a of_o universal_a love_n themselves_o they_o fond_o imagine_v the_o lord_n to_o be_v like_o themselves_o hence_o conclude_v there_o be_v no_o salvation_n to_o be_v have_v without_o the_o explified_a knowledge_n of_o christ_n come_v in_o the_o flesh_n and_o of_o the_o scripture_n both_o which_o we_o know_v whole_a kingdom_n and_o empire_n in_o the_o world_n be_v unavoidable_o ignorant_a of_o and_o yet_o few_o or_o none_o of_o these_o will_v jeopardize_v their_o life_n to_o preach_v among_o such_o notwithstanding_n this_o be_v the_o apostle_n paul_n practice_n to_o preach_v christ_n where_o he_o have_v not_o before_o be_v name_v for_o say_v he_o if_o i_o build_v upon_o another_o man_n foundation_n i_o make_v my_o glory_v void_a but_o bless_v be_v the_o lord_n he_o have_v cause_v many_o witness_n to_o rise_v up_o among_o we_o who_o have_v give_v testimony_n to_o the_o truth_n as_o it_o be_v in_o jesus_n and_o have_v teach_v other_o both_z in_o our_o own_o country_n and_o in_o nation_n abroad_o to_o take_v heed_n to_o that_o sure_a word_n of_o prophecy_n nigh_o in_o the_o heart_n and_o in_o the_o mouth_n which_o be_v the_o true_a grace_n of_o god_n that_o be_v sufficient_a for_o we_o not_o only_o as_o some_o say_v to_o leave_v man_n without_o excuse_n and_o so_o to_o aggravate_v their_o condemnation_n but_o as_o it_o be_v receive_v and_o obey_v it_o will_v lead_v out_o of_o sin_n into_o holiness_n and_o in_o the_o end_n crown_n with_o salvation_n and_o thus_o i_o be_o bring_v to_o the_o next_o thing_n promise_v which_o be_v to_o show_v whence_o this_o principle_n of_o grace_n proceed_v i_o have_v according_a to_o my_o measure_n show_v what_o it_o be_v now_o i_o come_v to_o show_v from_o whence_o it_o come_v to_o which_o i_o my_o exercise_n become_v also_o my_o divertion_n yea_o though_o i_o be_v his_o prisoner_n by_o indisposition_n of_o body_n occasion_v through_o the_o pressure_n of_o my_o mind_n whilst_o the_o unto_o he_o but_o cain_n stick_v in_o the_o form_n and_o not_o fly_v on_o the_o wing_n of_o faith_n to_o christ_n the_o one_o offer_v miss_v the_o mark_n that_o shall_v have_v be_v aim_v at_o by_o he_o and_o for_o this_o cause_n god_n reject_v both_o he_o and_o his_o offer_n as_o you_o may_v read_v in_o the_o follow_a verse_n of_o this_o four_o chapter_n of_o genesis_n where_o the_o lord_n expostulate_v the_o case_n with_o cain_n say_v why_o be_v thou_o wrath_n and_o why_o be_v thy_o countenance_n fall_v if_o thou_o do_v well_o shall_v thou_o not_o be_v accept_v but_o if_o thou_o do_v not_o well_o sin_n lie_v at_o thy_o door_n so_o that_o it_o be_v for_o evil-doing_a cain_n lose_v the_o acceptance_n of_o his_o offer_n which_o seem_v clear_a to_o i_o that_o god_n have_v no_o son_n of_o god_n in_o who_o alone_o the_o father_n be_v well_o please_v and_o it_o be_v also_o as_o clear_v to_o i_o through_o the_o open_n of_o the_o same_o spirit_n that_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o his_o son_n in_o their_o heart_n he_o give_v testimony_n of_o their_o gift_n to_o abel_n that_o his_o be_v accept_v and_o to_o cain_n that_o his_o be_v reject_v for_o cain_n must_v needs_o have_v a_o manifestation_n of_o the_o spirit_n otherwise_o how_o shall_v he_o know_v it_o to_o be_v his_o duty_n to_o offer_v sacrifice_n as_o you_o may_v see_v he_o do_v for_o we_o read_v not_o of_o any_o outward_a precept_n that_o either_o of_o they_o have_v to_o enjoin_v it_o now_o then_o if_o it_o be_v a_o live_a in-wrought_a faith_n whereby_o abel_n obtain_v acceptance_n of_o his_o offer_n and_o where_o the_o scripture_n be_v many_o occurrence_n may_v fall_v out_o in_o the_o course_n of_o our_o life_n about_o which_o the_o scripture_n give_v no_o particular_a advice_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v necessary_a we_o shall_v have_v a_o guide_n near_o in_o all_o our_o affair_n but_o i_o well_o know_v many_o case_n there_o be_v where_o scripture_n be_v altogether_o silent_a in_o the_o matter_n admit_v then_o here_o that_o the_o creature_n in_o such_o a_o straight_a not_o know_v what_o to_o do_v betake_v itself_o to_o inquire_v of_o the_o lord_n by_o prayer_n alas_o what_o will_v that_o avail_n unless_o it_o receive_v a_o answer_n which_o be_v already_o grant_v not_o to_o be_v find_v in_o scripture_n neither_o can_v it_o now_o he_o have_v by_o the_o mere_a literal_a priesthood_n
