acquire_v death_n yet_o we_o be_v so_o blind_a and_o mad_a as_o feed_v with_o eternal_a death_n of_o carnal_a pleasure_n so_o dear_o buy_v we_o may_v remember_v if_o any_o shall_v eat_v of_o i_o say_v christ_n the_o true_a tree_n of_o life_n and_o true_a bread_n of_o life_n he_o shall_v live_v for_o ever_o john_n 6._o and_o what_o be_v it_o to_o eat_v of_o it_o but_o to_o believe_v in_o he_o in_o he_o to_o joy_n and_o take_v delight_n last_o to_o rest_v and_o take_v pleasure_n in_o he_o alone_o great_a therefore_o o_fw-fr mortal_n be_v the_o carnal_a blindness_n to_o serve_v the_o world_n for_o trifle_n vain_a and_o frail_a thing_n with_o such_o affection_n and_o desire_n and_o not_o to_o do_v the_o same_o to_o god_n who_o reward_v his_o worship_n and_o service_n with_o eternal_a thing_n and_o far_o more_o noble_a good_n for_o who_o perform_v to_o god_n so_o much_o and_o so_o great_a faith_n obedience_n and_o diligence_n as_o the_o vulgar_a we_o see_v do_v perform_v to_o mammon_n and_o the_o world_n we_o see_v they_o many_o time_n for_o small_a matter_n or_o a_o little_a money_n make_v journey_n and_o for_o heaven_n cause_v it_o grieve_v we_o to_o move_v a_o foot_n hereupon_o the_o holy_a prophet_n reproach_n tyre_n and_o sidon_n with_o emphatical_a upbraid_n for_o take_v in_o hand_n most_o vast_a and_o sea_n journey_n for_o the_o advance_v of_o their_o earthly_a cause_n when_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n they_o will_v not_o deign_v for_o the_o sovereign_a good_a to_o change_v their_o place_n and_o in_o our_o time_n man_n of_o all_o sort_n and_o condition_n do_v prefer_v the_o world_n before_o god_n it_o be_v a_o thing_n most_o manifest_a world_n the_o son_n of_o the_o world_n thereupon_o we_o see_v many_o doctor_n do_v study_v day_n and_o night_n to_o attain_v to_o honour_v in_o the_o world_n who_o hardly_o or_o not_o at_o all_o will_v take_v so_o much_o leisure_n as_o suffice_v to_o say_v the_o lord_n prayer_n if_o they_o may_v attain_v eternal_a honour_n and_o dignity_n celestial_a with_o so_o little_a labour_n therefore_o you_o see_v the_o same_o man_n to_o avoid_v no_o labour_n in_o warfare_n to_o attain_v to_o fame_n and_o honour_n and_o yet_o will_v not_o enter_v combat_n with_o their_o own_o vice_n although_o they_o may_v attain_v heavenly_a nobility_n thereby_o therefore_o you_o shall_v likewise_o see_v that_o the_o lord_n and_o victor_n of_o many_o nation_n and_o vast_a kingdom_n do_v not_o care_n for_o overcome_v themselves_o last_o that_o infinite_a many_o do_v not_o regard_v the_o loss_n of_o their_o soul_n and_o eternal_a happiness_n to_o attain_v to_o frail_a and_o momentany_a good_n and_o all_o these_o have_v not_o victory_n the_o true_a victory_n taste_v the_o hide_a manna_n of_o the_o divine_a word_n and_o therefore_o do_v not_o overcome_v the_o world_n but_o be_v overcome_v of_o the_o world_n which_o whosoever_o dare_v contemn_v in_o respect_n of_o god_n he_o true_o find_v the_o most_o sweet_a visit_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o be_v fill_v with_o the_o heavenly_a pleasure_n which_o no_o man_n despise_v the_o divine_a sweetness_n be_v taste_v when_o the_o world_n be_v despise_v know_v but_o he_o that_o receive_v it_o this_o therefore_o be_v to_o be_v do_v the_o tree_n of_o life_n be_v first_o to_o be_v plant_v in_o we_o that_o we_o may_v eat_v the_o fruit_n thereof_o and_o our_o heart_n that_o wish_v to_o be_v recreate_v with_o the_o celestial_a consolation_n ought_v first_o to_o be_v convert_v from_o the_o world_n to_o god_n but_o we_o be_v make_v drink_v with_o worldly_a pleasure_n and_o bewitch_v do_v not_o incline_v our_o heart_n and_o mind_n to_o think_v that_o heavenly_a joy_n and_o those_o of_o god_n be_v rather_o to_o be_v wish_v than_o those_o which_o the_o world_n offer_v or_o afford_v although_o true_o that_o be_v more_o true_a that_o god_n offer_v and_o do_v and_o be_v more_o noble_a than_o that_o which_o the_o creature_n do_v bring_v to_o pass_v wherefore_o the_o learning_n which_o come_v from_o above_o by_o the_o inspiration_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n god_n true_a consolation_n and_o wisdom_n be_v of_o god_n be_v much_o more_o excellent_a than_o that_o other_o which_o humane_a understanding_n with_o great_a labour_n do_v obtain_v for_o even_o as_o a_o apple_n or_o a_o lily_n produce_v by_o nature_n be_v far_o more_o noble_a and_o much_o better_a than_o that_o which_o a_o workman_n make_v of_o gold_n be_v the_o gold_n never_o so_o fine_a so_o one_o drop_n of_o consolation_n divine_a joy_n the_o venity_n of_o worldly_a joy_n be_v more_o
