thou_o six_o they_o use_v the_o benefit_n give_v they_o before_o they_o ask_v thereby_o not_o only_o provoke_v they_o to_o ask_v more_o but_o also_o certify_v their_o faith_n that_o if_o thou_o be_v so_o good_a to_o grant_v they_o many_o thing_n unasked_a now_o thou_o will_v not_o deny_v they_o any_o thing_n they_o ask_v to_o thy_o glory_n and_o their_o weal_n last_o of_o all_o they_o use_v the_o read_n and_o weigh_v of_o psalm_n and_o other_o good_a prayer_n because_o they_o know_v that_o thereby_o peculiarly_a beside_o the_o other_o scripture_n there_o be_v no_o small_a help_n as_o may_v appear_v by_o paul_n ephes_n 5._o col._n 3._o where_o he_o will_v the_o congregation_n to_o use_v psalm_n hymn_n and_o spiritual_a song_n but_o so_o that_o in_o the_o heart_n we_o will_v sing_v and_o say_v they_o not_o that_o thy_o child_n do_v not_o use_v their_o tongue_n and_o word_n in_o pray_v to_o thou_o for_o they_o do_v use_v their_o tongue_n speech_n and_o word_n to_o stir_v up_o their_o inward_a desire_n and_o fervency_n of_o the_o mind_n full_o well_o know_v that_o else_o it_o be_v a_o plain_a mock_n of_o thou_o to_o pray_v with_o lip_n and_o tongue_n only_o oh_o that_o i_o may_v feel_v now_o thy_o spirit_n so_o to_o affect_v i_o that_o both_o with_o heart_n and_o mouth_n i_o may_v hearty_o and_o in_o faith_n pray_v unto_o thou_o now_o concern_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v to_o be_v pray_v for_o thy_o child_n know_v that_o the_o prayer_n teach_v by_o thy_o son_n most_o lively_a and_o plain_o do_v contain_v the_o same_o and_o therefore_o they_o often_o use_v it_o first_o ask_v of_o thou_o their_o heavenly_a father_n through_o christ_n that_o thy_o name_n may_v every_o where_o be_v have_v in_o holiness_n and_o praise_n then_o that_o thy_o kingdom_n by_o regeneration_n and_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n may_v come_v &_o so_o three_o that_o willing_o perfect_o and_o perpetual_o they_o may_v study_v to_o do_v yea_o do_v in_o deed_n thy_o will_n with_o thy_o if_o that_o their_o heart_n be_v not_o so_o break_v that_o they_o can_v forgive_v all_o thing_n to_o all_o man_n for_o their_o part_n they_o add_v their_o profession_n that_o be_v charity_n whereby_o they_o profess_v that_o they_o have_v forgive_v all_o offence_n do_v to_o they_o howbeit_o because_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o have_v pardon_n of_o that_o which_o be_v past_a except_o they_o be_v preserve_v from_o new_a offence_n they_o pray_v thou_o not_o to_o lead_v they_o into_o temptation_n by_o permit_v they_o to_o the_o perverse_a suggestion_n of_o satan_n but_o rather_o to_o deliver_v they_o from_o his_o importunity_n and_o power_n understanding_n satan_n the_o author_n of_o all_o evil_a oh_o dear_a god_n that_o thou_o will_v endue_v i_o with_o thy_o spirit_n of_o grace_n and_o prayer_n with_o thy_o child_n according_o to_o make_v this_o prayer_n always_o when_o so_o ever_o i_o do_v pray_v as_o for_o outward_a evil_n so_o long_o as_o they_o do_v not_o as_o it_o be_v enforce_v thy_o people_n to_o sin_n in_o that_o christian_n perfection_n do_v account_v they_o amongst_o thy_o benefit_n thy_o son_n have_v not_o teach_v thy_o church_n to_o pray_v for_o the_o take_v away_o of_o they_o in_o this_o prayer_n for_o here_o he_o have_v contain_v but_o those_o thing_n for_o the_o which_o all_o christian_n general_o and_o particular_o may_v of_o faith_n pray_v at_o all_o time_n it_o often_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o exterior_a evil_n because_o they_o be_v not_o evil_n in_o deed_n that_o be_v they_o be_v not_o against_o god_n grace_n in_o we_o therefore_o they_o can_v of_o faith_n be_v pray_v for_o to_o be_v take_v away_o for_o thy_o child_n that_o have_v faith_n do_v always_o prefer_v thy_o judgement_n before_o their_o own_o the_o which_o judgement_n when_o they_o know_v by_o that_o which_o happen_v to_o they_o they_o submit_v themselves_o thereto_o whole_o although_o the_o spirit_n make_v his_o unspeakable_a groan_n to_o help_v their_o infirmity_n by_o prayer_n not_o to_o have_v they_o take_v away_o but_o that_o they_o may_v have_v strength_n and_o patience_n to_o bear_v the_o burden_n according_o which_o burden_n if_o it_o be_v too_o heavy_a in_o the_o better_a sense_n and_o feel_n thereof_o they_o in_o their_o prayer_n do_v complain_v something_o rather_o than_o pray_v to_o have_v it_o take_v away_o as_o our_o saviour_n do_v in_o the_o only_a in_o thy_o church_n and_o elect_a people_n rule_v and_o govern_v all_o and_o every_o member_n of_o thy_o church_n to_o thy_o glory_n and_o their_o eternal_a comfort_n not_o that_o out_o of_o this_o church_n i_o exclude_v thy_o power_n for_o as_o therewith_o thou_o defend_v thy_o people_n so_o thou_o punish_v thy_o enemy_n but_o because_o thy_o grace_n be_v special_o consider_v be_v as_o it_o be_v the_o very_a keeper_n that_o keep_v and_o guide_v thy_o people_n the_o time_n will_v be_v when_o this_o kingdom_n of_o grace_n and_o power_n glory_n now_o be_v as_o distinct_a shall_v be_v unite_v and_o make_v one_o kingdom_n of_o glory_n which_o will_v be_v when_o christ_n shall_v give_v up_o his_o kingdom_n into_o thine_o hand_n that_o be_v in_o the_o resurrection_n when_o death_n the_o last_o enemy_n shall_v be_v subdue_v &_o thou_o shall_v be_v all_o in_o all_o in_o the_o mean_a season_n this_o kingdom_n of_o grace_n be_v miraculous_o and_o mighty_o propagate_v enlarge_v and_o that_o as_o general_o by_o send_v forth_o minister_n to_o preach_v true_o so_o particular_o by_o regenerate_v i_o more_o and_o more_o &_o by_o give_v i_o as_o grace_v here_o so_o glory_n elsewhere_o for_o thou_o will_v not_o i_o shall_v pray_v for_o that_o which_o thou_o will_v deny_v so_o that_o i_o have_v great_a cause_n to_o lament_v and_o rejoice_v to_o lament_v because_o of_o my_o miserable_a state_n and_o condition_n because_o of_o my_o sin_n ignorance_n rebellion_n perversity_n satan_n power_n contempt_n of_o thy_o grace_n thy_o gospel_n and_o ministry_n here_o or_o elsewhere_o to_o rejoice_v because_o of_o thy_o goodness_n &_o great_a mercy_n which_o have_v bring_v i_o into_o thy_o church_n keep_v i_o in_o it_o and_o will_v do_v so_o stil._n also_o because_o the_o company_n of_o those_o that_o despise_v and_o deride_v all_o good_a thing_n and_o that_o in_o the_o stead_n of_o these_o evil_n we_o give_v ourselves_o to_o the_o heavenly_a study_n of_o thy_o holy_a law_n to_o be_v occupy_v and_o exercise_v therein_o both_o day_n and_o night_n whereby_o we_o do_v perceive_v that_o we_o have_v very_o much_o err_v and_o stray_v from_o this_o way_n of_o our_o salvation_n yea_o we_o have_v in_o these_o thing_n most_o wicked_o offend_v therefore_o we_o beseech_v thou_o even_o for_o thy_o mercy_n sake_n that_o thou_o will_v pardon_v our_o offence_n and_o that_o henceforth_o by_o the_o continual_a study_n and_o exercise_v of_o thy_o word_n thou_o will_v vouchsafe_v to_o make_v we_o fruitful_a plant_n that_o we_o may_v not_o only_o bring_v forth_o will_n and_o word_n that_o all_o ignorance_n be_v expel_v we_o may_v know_v what_o thy_o will_n and_o pleasure_n be_v in_o all_o thing_n and_o how_o to_o do_v our_o duty_n and_o true_o to_o walk_v
