bright_a that_o our_o conscience_n may_v witness_v with_o we_o and_o that_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o word_n may_v join_v their_o witness_n with_o our_o conscience_n the_o word_n say_v that_o he_o that_o love_v the_o brethren_n be_v translate_v to_o life_n and_o he_o that_o hear_v the_o word_n as_o the_o word_n be_v christ_n sheep_n now_o do_v thy_o conscience_n tell_v thou_o that_o though_o these_o in_o they_o what_o dishonour_n be_v this_o to_o god_n and_o his_o spirit_n when_o a_o dark_a humour_n shall_v prevail_v more_o than_o the_o word_n the_o truth_n itself_o this_o be_v a_o great_a bondage_n which_o satan_n bring_v the_o soul_n into_o that_o when_o there_o be_v evidence_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o fruit_n of_o it_o yet_o man_n will_v believe_v a_o peevish_a humour_n before_o the_o word_n and_o testimony_n of_o conscience_n enlighten_v by_o the_o spirit_n take_v heed_n of_o it_o as_o a_o great_a pride_n in_o the_o heart_n when_o we_o yield_v more_o to_o a_o sturdy_a dark_a unsubdued_a humour_n then_o to_o evidence_n itself_o therefore_o in_o such_o case_n harken_v not_o to_o what_o fear_n say_v or_o humour_n say_v or_o satan_n say_v or_o what_o the_o world_n say_v but_o harken_v what_o truth_n itself_o say_v and_o what_o conscience_n say_v when_o it_o be_v enlighten_v by_o the_o spirit_n as_o in_o good_a time_n when_o we_o be_v at_o the_o best_a true_a christian_n though_o more_o remiss_a shall_v have_v so_o much_o comfort_n as_o shall_v support_v they_o from_o fall_v into_o despair_n yet_o not_o so_o much_o as_o shall_v strengthen_v they_o away_o with_o the_o darkness_n of_o the_o other_o it_o be_v a_o terrible_a sight_n to_o look_v upon_o sin_n and_o misery_n and_o hell_n and_o judgement_n to_o come_v but_o what_o be_v these_o to_o a_o christian_n that_o be_v in_o christ_n that_o see_v they_o all_o subdue_v and_o overcome_v to_o he_o the_o affliction_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o cross_n of_o the_o world_n what_o be_v they_o to_o out_o afterward_o and_o because_o there_o can_v be_v no_o more_o comfort_n than_o there_o be_v care_n of_o duty_n therefore_o together_o with_o innocence_n let_v we_o be_v careful_a of_o all_o duty_n in_o all_o our_o several_a relation_n let_v we_o consider_v in_o what_o relation_n we_o stand_v and_o what_o duty_n we_o owe_v and_o be_v careful_a to_o satisfy_v they_o all_o neglect_v of_o duty_n be_v a_o debt_n and_o debt_n be_v troublesome_a when_o the_o soul_n reflect_v upon_o the_o omission_n of_o a_o necessary_a duty_n i_o owe_v such_o a_o duty_n to_o such_o a_o person_n i_o shall_v have_v do_v such_o a_o thing_n in_o such_o a_o relation_n but_o i_o have_v omit_v it_o it_o be_v a_o disquietment_n and_o that_o upon_o good_a ground_n and_o if_o you_o have_v be_v negligent_a there_o must_v be_v a_o actual_a renew_n of_o the_o covenant_n and_o a_o set_n upon_o the_o duty_n with_o fresh_a endeavour_n to_o make_v amends_o for_o former_a negligence_n or_o else_o the_o soul_n shall_v have_v no_o comfort_n nor_o will_v god_n suffer_v it_o to_o admit_v of_o comfort_n and_o therefore_o work_v out_o your_o salvation_n with_o fear_n and_o tremble_v the_o reason_n that_o man_n do_v still_o tremble_v and_o be_v trouble_v with_o this_o doubt_n and_o that_o fear_v be_v because_o their_o salvation_n be_v not_o wrought_v out_o something_o be_v leave_v undo_v and_o their_o conscience_n tell_v they_o so_o but_o above_o all_o that_o we_o may_v receive_v comfort_n let_v we_o labour_v for_o a_o spirit_n of_o faith_n therefore_o here_o it_o be_v say_v you_o believe_v in_o join_v they_o together_o you_o believe_v in_o god_n you_o believe_v also_o in_o i_o no_o man_n come_v to_o the_o father_n but_o by_o the_o son_n god_n the_o father_n dwell_v in_o the_o light_n that_o be_v a_o grace_n to_o found_v and_o bottom_n the_o soul_n thereupon_o and_o that_o be_v faith_n and_o so_o the_o soul_n be_v establish_v the_o chain_n and_o connexion_n of_o cause_n herein_o be_v this_o god_n the_o father_n in_o christ_n and_o by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n convey_v comfort_n through_o the_o word_n lay_v hold_v upon_o by_o faith_n it_o be_v not_o the_o word_n alone_o for_o that_o therefore_o though_o these_o speak_v peace_n to_o themselves_o yet_o we_o dare_v not_o speak_v any_o comfort_n to_o they_o from_o christ_n as_o jehu_n say_v to_o joram_n what_o have_v thou_o to_o do_v condition_n that_o they_o shall_v enjoy_v that_o paradise_n which_o he_o leave_v the_o comfort_n that_o he_o once_o have_v and_o therefore_o he_o labour_v to_o disturb_v they_o in_o their_o comfort_n the_o estate_n of_o such_o be_v mix_v here_o in_o this_o world_n they_o have_v that_o in_o they_o and_o without_o they_o which_o will_v always_o be_v a_o cause_n and_o occasion_n of_o trouble_n they_o have_v corruption_n in_o they_o not_o altogether_o subdue_v and_o they_o have_v without_o they_o satan_n take_v advantage_n against_o they_o and_o the_o world_n oppose_v they_o these_o although_o they_o have_v something_o in_o they_o that_o must_v be_v subdue_v yet_o something_o also_o that_o must_v be_v cherish_v and_o strengthen_v and_o therefore_o these_o be_v the_o person_n to_o who_o comfort_n proper_o belong_v in_o heaven_n we_o shall_v have_v no_o need_n of_o be_v comfort_v for_o there_o our_o peace_n shall_v be_v to_o have_v no_o enemy_n at_o all_o our_o peace_n here_o be_v
