inspiration_n be_v not_o cease_v paul_n be_v since_o christ_n and_o he_o witness_v revelation_n and_o inspiration_n and_o many_o more_o since_o he_o and_o i_o believe_v christ_n and_o paul_n speak_v true_a and_o that_o the_o scripture_n be_v true_a and_o all_o that_o be_v against_o it_o be_v deceit_n and_o the_o scripture_n hold_v forth_o revelation_n and_o inspiration_n be_v not_o cease_v although_o in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o law_n the_o priest_n lip_n be_v appoint_v to_o preserve_v the_o people_n knowledge_n and_o the_o people_n be_v appoint_v to_o seek_v the_o law_n at_o their_o sinful_a lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n second_o that_o the_o child_n shall_v believe_v all_o the_o article_n of_o the_o christian_a faith_n three_o that_o it_o shall_v keep_v god_n holy_a will_n and_o commandment_n and_o walk_v in_o the_o same_o all_o the_o day_n of_o its_o life_n this_o be_v confusion_n and_o contrary_a to_o their_o faith_n and_o principle_n for_o they_o do_v not_o believe_v that_o any_o such_o thing_n can_v be_v or_o such_o a_o state_n attain_v to_o now_o to_o enjoin_v people_n to_o promise_v that_o the_o child_n shall_v do_v that_o which_o they_o themselves_o do_v believe_v be_v unpossible_a be_v folly_n and_o madness_n coufusion_n and_o a_o snare_n to_o they_o to_o who_o they_o make_v so_o to_o imagine_v for_o if_o one_o shall_v ask_v the_o priest_n or_o any_o of_o they_o if_o they_o can_v live_v such_o a_o life_n as_o they_o promise_v and_o vow_v the_o child_n shall_v do_v they_o will_v say_v no_o it_o can_v be_v and_o be_v cry_v out_o in_o almost_o every_o pulpit_n and_o almost_o in_o every_o professor_n meet_v against_o such_o a_o perfect_a life_n as_o they_o promise_v and_o vow_v the_o child_n shall_v live_v and_o say_v no_o perfection_n here_o for_o to_o forsake_v the_o devil_n &_o all_o his_o work_n &_o to_o keep_v god_n holy_a will_n and_o commandment_n be_v perfection_n now_o consider_v the_o distraction_n confusion_n madness_n and_o blindness_n of_o this_o
people_n this_o be_v one_o of_o the_o chief_a article_n of_o the_o church_n to_o promise_n and_o vow_n that_o the_o child_n shall_v forsake_v the_o devil_n and_o all_o his_o work_n and_o live_v so_o to_o bear_v a_o live_a testimony_n against_o this_o idolatrous_a worship_n and_o false_a imagination_n that_o other_o may_v come_v to_o see_v where_o they_o be_v and_o come_v out_o from_o among_o they_o before_o they_o fall_v together_o into_o the_o pit_n of_o hell_n where_o there_o be_v never_o come_v out_o more_o for_o the_o priest_n and_o all_o other_o sect-master_n be_v blind_a leader_n of_o the_o blind_a for_o do_v but_o consider_v the_o manner_n of_o their_o proceed_n in_o this_o matter_n of_o sprinkle_v of_o child_n and_o what_o it_o do_v produce_v the_o priest_n he_o sprinkle_v water_n in_o the_o face_n of_o the_o child_n and_o say_v i_o baptise_v thou_o in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o father_n son_n and_o holy_a ghost_n and_o that_o they_o reckon_v make_v a_o christian_a of_o the_o child_n to_o wit_n a_o child_n of_o god_n a_o member_n of_o christ_n and_o a_o inheritor_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n a_o absolute_a delusion_n and_o then_o there_o they_o must_v have_v some_o other_o people_n good_a or_o bad_a to_o stand_v bind_v for_o the_o child_n and_o these_o they_o call_v godfathers_n and_z godmothers_n as_o if_o the_o god_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n have_v father_n and_o mother_n make_v of_o wicked_a man_n and_o woman_n for_o do_v but_o mind_n these_o people_n take_v the_o work_n of_o god_n upon_o they_o inasmuch_o as_o they_o take_v upon_o they_o to_o promise_n and_o vow_n that_o the_o child_n shall_v forsake_v the_o devil_n and_o all_o his_o work_n which_o be_v to_o live_v without_o sin_n and_o no_o less_o than_o all_o the_o day_n of_o his_o life_n which_o be_v a_o thing_n all_o the_o world_n can_v never_o do_v for_o inasmuch_o as_o they_o promise_v that_o the_o child_n shall_v forsake_v the_o devil_n and_o all_o his_o work_n this_o do_v include_v all_o sin_n whatsoever_o for_o there_o be_v no_o sin_n nor_o never_o be_v but_o be_v of_o the_o devil_n work_v and_o herein_o they_o take_v that_o upon_o they_o which_o none_o can_v do_v if_o they_o do_v some_o of_o they_o will_v not_o do_v it_o for_o when_o some_o in_o obedience_n to_o the_o lord_n have_v ask_v they_o why_o they_o do_v do_v these_o thing_n which_o there_o be_v no_o scripture_n for_o they_o can_v not_o well_o tell_v what_o to_o say_v some_o have_v say_v the_o law_n of_o the_o nation_n be_v for_o it_o other_o in_o a_o blind_a manner_n will_v say_v that_o if_o they_o shall_v not_o do_v it_o their_o child_n will_v be_v damn_v because_o they_o think_v that_o make_v they_o christian_n when_o few_o of_o they_o know_v what_o a_o christian_a be_v for_o a_o christian_a be_v one_o that_o walk_v like_o christ_n or_o as_o christ_n will_v have_v he_o and_o so_o to_o be_v unite_v to_o christ_n some_o will_v answer_v and_o say_v that_o it_o be_v use_v in_o emptiness_n barrenness_n unfruitfulness_n and_o unprofitableness_n of_o the_o tradition_n of_o the_o ignorant_a and_o be_v call_v to_o repentance_n and_o the_o people_n of_o this_o age_n have_v as_o much_o need_n of_o repent_v of_o this_o thing_n of_o sprinkle_v as_o any_o one_o thing_n for_o in_o the_o manner_n as_o it_o be_v now_o use_v and_o have_v be_v for_o some_o time_n past_a it_o be_v very_o wicked_a and_o abominable_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n and_o why_o may_v not_o people_n as_o well_o plead_v for_o their_o forefather_n drunkenness_n swear_v lie_v and_o whore_v as_o for_o this_o for_o note_v this_o one_o thing_n when_o they_o go_v to_o make_v a_o christian_n as_o they_o suppose_v do_v but_o mark_v they_o in_o the_o action_n when_o they_o be_v meet_v together_o they_o behave_v themselves_o more_o like_a people_n of_o make_v heathen_n than_o christian_n for_o it_o be_v common_a for_o they_o they_o take_v occasion_n at_o such_o time_n to_o feast_n play_n dance_z revel_v and_o be_v drink_v at_o the_o time_n when_o they_o practise_v such_o thing_n and_o this_o be_v their_o manner_n of_o make_v christian_n who_o make_v use_v of_o those_o opportunity_n of_o their_o so_o meet_v to_o commit_v such_o abomination_n but_o i_o will_v leave_v to_o the_o serious_a consideration_n of_o any_o sober_a people_n whether_o these_o action_n and_o practice_n be_v the_o way_n to_o make_v christian_n o_o the_o horrid_a abomination_n and_o pollution_n that_o people_n do_v commit_v in_o this_o and_o almost_o in_o all_o their_o duty_n when_o they_o meet_v together_o as_o
