this_o gospel_n and_o all_o the_o part_n thereof_o christ_n enter_v into_o a_o long_a disputation_n with_o nicodemus_n the_o chief_a of_o the_o phariseis_n among_o the_o jew_n and_o that_o of_o a_o matter_n that_o nicodemus_n can_v not_o understande_v the_o doctrine_n thereof_o because_o it_o seem_v strange_a unto_o he_o for_o lack_v of_o custom_n thereto_o christ_n and_o because_o he_o be_v accustom_v to_o a_o other_o kind_n of_o doctrine_n nicodemus_n be_v no_o evyll_n man_n declare_v both_o by_o word_n and_o deed_n how_o high_o he_o esteme_v christ_n where_o as_o he_o set_v so_o much_o by_o he_o who_o his_o own_o companion_n hate_v so_o extreme_o and_o come_v unto_o he_o albeit_o by_o night_n to_o testify_v this_o open_o before_o christ_n that_o he_o acknowledge_v the_o power_n of_o god_n to_o be_v in_o he_o and_o do_v not_o condemn_v he_o against_o his_o conscience_n as_o do_v the_o other_o phariseis_n and_o scribe_n neither_o be_v it_o to_o be_v count_v blame_v worthy_a in_o be_v that_o he_o know_v not_o what_o be_v the_o kyngdom_n of_o god_n as_o he_o thynk_v that_o he_o do_v wherefore_o all_o the_o disputation_n stand_v in_o this_o point_n what_o be_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o who_o do_v see_v it_o and_o know_v it_o nicodemus_n never_o have_v other_o opinion_n before_o this_o time_n but_o that_o the_o kyngdom_n of_o god_n have_v his_o description_n in_o the_o law_n that_o out_o of_o it_o may_v be_v understande_v the_o holiness_n and_o sanctity_n of_o god_n &_o the_o which_o ought_v to_o be_v perform_v and_o fulfyl_v of_o all_o man_n if_o they_o will_v live_v with_o god_n most_o holy_a in_o his_o kyngdom_n salvation_n he_o never_o think_v how_o the_o sin_n can_v not_o be_v take_v away_o by_o the_o law_n and_o that_o the_o law_n shall_v be_v but_o a_o testimony_n to_o declare_v to_o we_o our_o sin_n that_o it_o may_v be_v a_o beginning_n of_o a_o hygh_a knowledge_n as_o concerning_a god_n and_o his_o kingdom_n in_o us._n for_o he_o that_o be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o grace_n be_v ignorant_a both_o of_o god_n and_o also_o of_o his_o kingdom_n wherefore_o we_o must_v

water_n be_v such_o with_o the_o which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n will_v come_v unto_o thou_o and_o regenerate_v thou_o to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n which_o be_v as_o much_o to_o say_v as_o to_o forgeve_v sin_n and_o to_o bring_v salvation_n this_o sentence_n therefore_o be_v not_o lyght_o to_o be_v regard_v and_o especial_o because_o of_o the_o anabaptiste_n which_o hold_v opinion_n confute_v that_o the_o baptism_n of_o infant_n be_v nothing_o worth_a where_o as_o yet_o christ_n in_o this_o place_n appli_v water_n to_o regeneration_n &_o to_o the_o new_a birth_n and_o join_v it_o as_o the_o cause_n thereof_o with_o the_o holy_a ghost_n if_o child_n therefore_o have_v need_n of_o this_o new_a birth_n and_o can_v not_o see_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n without_o it_o and_o sing_v baptism_n be_v ordain_v of_o christ_n as_o the_o cause_n of_o all_o that_o must_v be_v new_a bear_v it_o be_v not_o only_o a_o unmercyfull_a thing_n but_o also_o violence_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o plain_a tyranny_n to_o exclude_v they_o from_o baptism_n and_o from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n for_o who_o christ_n die_v and_o decree_v 6·_n that_o this_o benefit_n shall_v be_v free_a to_o all_o they_o that_o be_v new_a bear_v that_o they_o may_v be_v baptize_v to_o dye_v with_o he_o and_o be_v bear_v again_o wherefore_o this_o new_a birth_n be_v also_o necessary_a for_o child_n outward_a ceremony_n of_o the_o water_n of_o baptism_n may_v not_o be_v omit_v because_o of_o the_o privy_a and_o invisible_a administration_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n christ_n say_v furthermore_o the_o prince_n of_o the_o world_n be_v judge_v and_o that_o therefore_o he_o can_v not_o hurt_v they_o that_o believe_v in_o christ_n and_o put_v their_o confidence_n in_o his_o goinge_v unto_o the_o these_o tentation_n know_v thou_o not_o that_o the_o prince_n of_o the_o world_n be_v judge_v he_o be_v no_o more_o a_o lord_n elect_v or_o a_o prince_n thou_o have_v a_o lord_n that_o be_v mighty_a this_o judgement_n set_v forth_o consolation_n for_o if_o this_o be_v not_o the_o preacher_n can_v never_o endure_v against_o the_o violence_n of_o the_o world_n but_o must_v needs_o fear_v &_o tremble_v and_o for_o this_o cause_n special_o be_v the_o holy_a ghost_n call_v paracletus_fw-la conforter_n that_o be_v to_o say_v a_o comforter_n or_o a_o advocate_n which_o in_o adversity_n &_o trouble_n stand_v by_o the_o preacher_n comfort_v they_o &_o encourage_v they_o bold_o &_o stout_o to_o confess_v the_o truth_n forasmuch_o as_o they_o hear_v that_o the_o prince_n of_o the_o world_n be_v judge_v and_o this_o be_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o office_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n even_o what_o mystery_n of_o most_o worthy_a matter_n he_o shall_v declare_v and_o most_o special_o set_v forth_o unto_o man_n in_o this_o world_n he_o can_v be_v no_o christian_a man_n that_o not_o only_o not_o know_v these_o most_o excellent_a mystery_n but_o also_o that_o when_o he_o know_v they_o do_v not_o set_v more_o by_o they_o then_o by_o all_o the_o good_n in_o the_o world_n for_o as_o for_o all_o other_o thing_n they_o be_v transitory_a and_o pass_v away_o but_o these_o thing_n be_v everlasting_a transitory_a which_o shall_v never_o decay_v as_o paul_n say_v the_o gospel_n be_v the_o power_n of_o god_n unto_o salvation_n for_o so_o many_o as_o believe_v this_o go_v away_o they_o can_v not_o understand_v nor_o attain_v unto_o the_o knowledge_n thereof_o no_o new_a doctrine_n but_o the_o same_o doctrine_n that_o christ_n tofore_o have_v teach_v shall_v the_o holy_a
