controversy_n therefore_o i_o beg_v that_o thou_o will_v undertake_v for_o i_o or_o put_v i_o in_o a_o surety_n with_o thou_o further_o for_o the_o clear_n of_o this_o scripture_n it_o may_v be_v question_v first_o how_o god_n be_v say_v to_o hide_v the_o heart_n from_o understanding_n god_n do_v this_o four_o way_n first_o by_o speak_v dark_o or_o in_o such_o a_o manner_n as_o the_o understanding_n can_v easy_o find_v a_o passage_n to_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v speak_v a_o parable_n be_v a_o dark_a say_n and_o when_o christ_n preach_v in_o parable_n his_o disciple_n come_v and_o say_v unto_o he_o why_o speak_v thou_o to_o they_o in_o parable_n matth._n 13.10_o now_o among_o other_o reason_n which_o christ_n be_v please_v to_o give_v of_o that_o dispensation_n this_o be_v one_o verse_n 14._o in_o they_o be_v fulfil_v the_o prophecy_n of_o isaiah_n which_o say_v by_o hear_v you_o shall_v hear_v and_o shall_v not_o understand_v and_o see_v you_o shall_v see_v and_o shall_v not_o perceive_v as_o if_o christ_n have_v say_v these_o man_n have_v just_o deserve_v to_o be_v punish_v with_o spiritual_a darkness_n which_o be_v not_o understanding_n and_o therefore_o i_o have_v speak_v to_o they_o in_o a_o dark_a way_n they_o do_v not_o hear_v to_o obey_v what_o be_v plain_a and_o easy_a to_o be_v understand_v and_o therefore_o now_o they_o shall_v hear_v what_o they_o can_v understand_v second_o god_n hide_v the_o heart_n from_o understanding_n by_o deny_v or_o not_o give_v light_n and_o that_o a_o twofold_a light_n first_o the_o outward_a light_n of_o his_o word_n thus_o all_o those_o people_n be_v say_v to_o sit_v in_o darkness_n that_o be_v to_o have_v no_o understanding_n in_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n where_o the_o gospel_n be_v not_o publish_v second_o by_o deny_v or_o not_o give_v the_o inward_a light_n of_o his_o spirit_n though_o the_o light_n of_o the_o world_n abound_v for_o as_o a_o man_n may_v have_v the_o sun_n shine_v in_o his_o face_n and_o yet_o be_v in_o the_o dark_a if_o he_o want_v eyesight_n so_o as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v 2_o cor._n 4.3_o 4._o the_o gospel_n be_v hide_v in_o the_o most_o glorious_a shine_v of_o it_o to_o those_o who_o mind_n the_o god_n of_o this_o world_n have_v blind_v now_o every_o man_n be_v bear_v spiritual_o blind_a or_o he_o be_v blind_a by_o nature_n and_o he_o be_v blind_v by_o the_o god_n of_o this_o world_n till_o the_o god_n of_o all_o world_n send_v his_o spirit_n with_o the_o word_n for_o the_o open_n of_o his_o eye_n three_o god_n hide_v the_o heart_n from_o understanding_n as_o by_o not_o give_v so_o by_o withdraw_v the_o light_n which_o he_o have_v give_v many_o have_v forfeit_v their_o eyesight_n and_o their_o light_n and_o god_n have_v take_v the_o forfeiture_n of_o they_o which_o he_o do_v first_o when_o man_n be_v proud_a of_o the_o
