2._o how_o to_o know_v whether_o we_o walk_v according_a to_o the_o spirit_n to_o the_o flesh_n or_o according_a to_o the_o spirit_n how_o shall_v i_o know_v whether_o i_o be_v one_o of_o those_o that_o walk_v according_a to_o the_o spirit_n i_o will_v only_o give_v you_o a_o few_o expression_n of_o it_o i_o will_v not_o say_v sign_n for_o it_o may_v be_v you_o can_v not_o all_o bear_v that_o word_n and_o these_o expression_n be_v most_o of_o they_o lay_v down_o in_o this_o chapter_n and_o hereabout_o whereby_o you_o may_v have_v a_o guess_n of_o it_o whether_o you_o be_v man_n that_o let_v sin_n be_v never_o so_o strong_a and_o prevalent_a he_o look_v on_o it_o as_o a_o condemn_a thing_n he_o can_v triumph_v over_o it_o when_o it_o be_v strong_a and_o can_v say_v i_o know_v thou_o must_v be_v lay_v in_o the_o grave_a with_o jesus_n christ_n he_o reckon_v himself_o dead_a to_o sin_n that_o be_v another_o thing_n three_o and_o last_o from_o all_o these_o expression_n other_o 3._o they_o be_v more_o holy_a than_o other_o here_o in_o rom._n 6._o we_o gather_v this_o that_o sure_o all_o those_o that_o be_v under_o grace_n or_o that_o walk_n according_a to_o the_o spirit_n in_o some_o eminent_a way_n be_v more_o holy_a and_o more_o free_v from_o sin_n then_o once_o they_o be_v and_o then_o all_o those_o be_v that_o walk_n under_o the_o law_n in_o some_o eminent_a way_n i_o say_v they_o be_v more_o holy_a though_o i_o do_v not_o say_v there_o be_v no_o sin_n in_o they_o for_o than_o we_o shall_v lie_v as_o john_n say_v but_o certain_o there_o be_v a_o power_n in_o action_n use_v 3_o trial_n of_o our_o action_n whereby_o you_o may_v try_v and_o judge_v of_o man_n person_n so_o hereby_o also_o you_o may_v try_v your_o service_n and_o action_n i_o say_v this_o satisfy_v a_o man_n and_o be_v there_o not_o strong_a reason_n than_o any_o be_v in_o the_o world_n man_n will_v never_o yield_v to_o it_o thus_o i_o have_v give_v you_o a_o few_o hint_n to_o show_v supreme_a part_n of_o all_o the_o action_n thereof_o therefore_o if_o the_o mind_n be_v naught_o the_o whole_a soul_n be_v naught_o if_o the_o reason_n be_v naught_o the_o whole_a soul_n and_o life_n be_v naught_o also_o but_o because_o i_o will_v pass_v from_o that_o the_o use_n of_o it_o in_o a_o word_n be_v this_o that_o hence_o we_o see_v the_o reason_n why_o the_o wise_a man_n the_o most_o that_o the_o reason_n be_v the_o chief_a character_n of_o a_o man_n as_o reason_n in_o a_o man_n consider_v in_o a_o natural_a way_n be_v the_o most_o proper_a way_n of_o distinguish_v of_o he_o from_o other_o thing_n because_o it_o be_v most_o essential_a to_o he_o for_o you_o can_v distinguish_v a_o man_n so_o proper_o from_o a_o horse_n because_o he_o have_v two_o leg_n and_o that_o a_o horse_n have_v four_o but_o by_o his_o essence_n he_o be_v a_o rational_a creature_n and_o therefore_o i_o tell_v you_o a_o man_n may_v know_v good_a excellent_o a_o man_n may_v love_v good_a and_o godliness_n and_o a_o man_n may_v do_v good_a and_o suffer_v for_o good_a and_o yet_o be_v a_o hypocrite_n yet_o be_v a_o carnal_a man_n why_o because_o he_o may_v do_v good_a and_o love_n good_a and_o suffer_v for_o good_a and_o all_o out_o of_o carnal_a reason_n he_o may_v love_v the_o good_a because_o of_o some_o fine_a circumstantial_a thing_n and_o therefore_o i_o conclude_v last_o day_n with_o two_o word_n of_o use_n but_o i_o must_v endeavour_v to_o make_v good_a my_o promise_n now_o the_o last_o thing_n be_v how_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v for_o i_o have_v as_o in_o reference_n to_o disbiast_o how_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n work_v in_o the_o soul_n as_o many_o man_n have_v do_v and_o many_o a_o godly_a man_n but_o they_o have_v lose_v much_o time_n and_o have_v puzelled_a the_o soul_n of_o poor_a people_n for_o thou_o know_v not_o how_o a_o child_n be_v form_v in_o the_o womb_n how_o his_o eye_n be_v make_v and_o how_o his_o nose_n be_v make_v and_o how_o be_v we_o able_a to_o discover_v how_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n work_v grace_n in_o the_o soul_n which_o ordinary_o be_v do_v that_o he_o do_v this_o first_o and_o then_o that_o and_o will_v not_o do_v this_o until_o he_o have_v do_v that_o which_o have_v bring_v forth_o a_o deal_n of_o curiosity_n and_o needless_a distinction_n trouble_v the_o people_n of_o god_n but_o i_o will_v give_v you_o some_o particular_n
