secret_a opposition_n between_o our_o present_a suffering_n of_o which_o the_o apostle_n here_o say_v they_o be_v but_o for_o now_o and_o between_o that_o glory_n which_o 2_o cor._n 4._o he_o call_v eternal_a but_o herein_o we_o insist_v not_o have_v speak_v of_o it_o before_o the_o three_o thing_n concern_v this_o glory_n here_o touch_v 3_o be_v the_o claritie_n and_o perspicuity_n thereof_o it_o shall_v be_v reveal_v and_o not_o obscure_v any_o more_o as_o now_o it_o be_v now_o our_o life_n be_v hide_v with_o christ_n in_o god_n now_o be_v we_o the_o son_n of_o god_n but_o it_o appear_v not_o what_o we_o shall_v be_v 3._o as_o our_o head_n be_v the_o god_n of_o glory_n come_v into_o the_o world_n in_o the_o shape_n of_o a_o servant_n so_o his_o member_n yea_o and_o to_o rejoice_v in_o our_o present_a affliction_n under_o hope_n of_o that_o glory_n to_o be_v reveal_v in_o us._n there_o be_v no_o man_n we_o see_v that_o will_v refuse_v to_o change_v for_o the_o better_a he_o exchange_n silver_n for_o gold_n and_o give_v lead_v for_o precious_a stone_n though_o the_o better_a he_o get_v be_v but_o in_o opinion_n and_o shall_v not_o we_o be_v content_a like_o the_o wise_a man_n of_o god_n to_o forgo_v the_o earth_n and_o the_o pleasure_n thereof_o come_v that_o we_o may_v enjoy_v heaven_n as_o for_o worldling_n it_o be_v no_o marvel_n to_o see_v they_o take_v a_o dunghill_n of_o earth_n in_o their_o arm_n and_o say_v unto_o it_o thou_o be_v my_o joy_n and_o my_o portion_n for_o they_o not_o be_v illuminate_v with_o the_o light_n of_o the_o live_n make_v choice_n of_o that_o which_o according_a to_o their_o light_n they_o esteem_v to_o be_v best_a or_o if_o at_o any_o time_n they_o have_v taste_v of_o the_o power_n of_o the_o life_n to_o come_v yet_o be_v they_o like_o those_o merchant_n who_o have_v taste_v wine_n which_o please_v they_o well_o refuse_v to_o buy_v they_o be_v scare_v with_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o price_n which_o must_v be_v give_v for_o they_o even_o so_o have_v they_o their_o own_o joy_n at_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n and_o have_v also_o their_o own_o desire_n to_o be_v glorify_v with_o christ_n but_o when_o they_o hear_v that_o before_o they_o enjoy_v that_o glory_n they_o must_v suffer_v with_o christ_n deny_v themselves_o for_o sake_n their_o sinful_a pleasure_n and_o cease_v from_o their_o gainful_a trade_n of_o wickedness_n they_o give_v over_o the_o bargain_n they_o stumble_v and_o fall_v back_o to_o the_o former_a course_n of_o their_o ungodly_a life_n but_o assure_o if_o we_o all_o know_v those_o thing_n which_o belong_v to_o our_o peace_n not_o but_o now_o be_v hide_v from_o our_o eye_n ten_o thousand_o world_n can_v not_o keep_v we_o back_o from_o they_o and_o therefore_o see_v all_o the_o cause_n of_o our_o slow_a run_v towards_o that_o price_n of_o our_o heavenly_a call_n be_v in_o the_o darkness_n of_o our_o mind_n let_v we_o pray_v continual_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v lighten_v the_o eye_n of_o our_o understanding_n that_o we_o may_v know_v the_o riches_n of_o his_o glorious_a inheritance_n prepare_v for_o the_o saint_n and_o again_o lord_n remember_v we_o with_o the_o favour_n of_o thy_o people_n and_o visit_v we_o with_o thy_o salvation_n that_o we_o may_v see_v the_o felicity_n of_o thy_o choose_a and_o rejoice_v with_o the_o joy_n of_o thy_o people_n and_o glory_n with_o thy_o inheritance_n which_o the_o lord_n grant_v unto_o we_o for_o jesus_n christ_n sake_n verse_n 19_o for_o the_o fervent_a desire_n of_o the_o creature_n wait_v when_o the_o son_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v reveil_v we_o have_v hear_v hitherto_o the_o apostle_n first_o principal_a argument_n of_o comfort_n against_o the_o cross_n glory_n take_v from_o the_o end_n of_o our_o affliction_n set_v down_o in_o the_o end_n of_o the_o 17._o verse_n if_o we_o suffer_v with_o christ_n we_o shall_v reign_v with_o christ._n argument_n this_o argument_n he_o have_v amplify_v in_o the_o 18._o verse_n we_o shall_v be_v glorify_v with_o such_o a_o glory_n as_o for_o weight_n and_o eternity_n shall_v far_o exceed_v our_o present_a suffering_n now_o he_o insist_o still_o in_o the_o same_o amplification_n and_o he_o prove_v that_o glory_n must_v be_v both_o a_o great_a and_o a_o certain_a glory_n nature_n first_o because_o the_o creature_n by_o that_o instinct_n of_o nature_n which_o god_n have_v put_v into_o it_o wait_v for_o the_o revelation_n of_o that_o glory_n second_o because_o the_o son_n of_o god_n who_o have_v receive_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n by_o instinct_n of_o grace_n wait_v also_o for_o it_o now_o it_o can_v neither_o be_v a_o small_a thing_n nor_o yet_o uncertain_a which_o god_n have_v teach_v his_o creature_n both_o by_o instinct_n of_o nature_n and_o of_o grace_n to_o long_o for_o grace_n but_o it_o must_v be_v some_o excellent_a and_o most_o certain_a good_a whereupon_o god_n have_v set_v the_o instinct_n and_o desire_n of_o his_o creature_n this_o be_v the_o apostle_n purpose_n the_o order_n of_o his_o proceed_n be_v short_o this_o verse_n 19_o he_o set_v down_o a_o proposition_n of_o the_o creature_n fervent_a desire_n argument_n to_o see_v that_o glory_n reveil_v thereafter_o he_o assign_v two_o reason_n why_o they_o be_v so_o desirous_a of_o it_o the_o first_o be_v verse_n 20._o take_v from_o the_o present_a hard_a estate_n of_o the_o creature_n the_o next_o be_v verse_n 21._o take_v from_o their_o future_a better_a estate_n unto_o the_o which_o they_o shall_v be_v restore_v when_o the_o son_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v reveal_v and_o then_o he_o conclude_v this_o argument_n verse_n 22._o and_o this_o purpose_n he_o handle_v at_o the_o great_a length_n because_o in_o all_o the_o book_n of_o god_n this_o subject_n be_v not_o handle_v save_v in_o this_o place_n only_o phrase_n for_o the_o fervent_a here_o as_o i_o have_v say_v he_o set_v down_o a_o proposition_n of_o that_o fervent_a desire_n whereby_o the_o creature_n wait_v for_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o this_o earnest_a that_o day_n of_o our_o redemption_n notwithstanding_o that_o exhortation_n belong_v unto_o we_o that_o we_o shall_v look_v for_o that_o day_n and_o haste_n unto_o it_o 3._o as_o the_o creature_n be_v not_o make_v for_o themselves_o but_o for_o we_o so_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v restore_v for_o themselves_o but_o for_o we_o for_o the_o great_a augmentation_n of_o our_o glory_n and_o if_o they_o who_o shall_v have_v but_o the_o second_o room_n long_o for_o that_o day_n how_o shall_v we_o long_o for_o it_o for_o who_o that_o glory_n chief_o be_v prepare_v when_o the_o son_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v reveil_v reveil_v the_o son_n of_o god_n be_v now_o say_v not_o to_o be_v reveil_v in_o two_o respect_n first_o because_o their_o person_n be_v not_o reveil_v second_o because_o their_o glory_n &_o dignity_n be_v not_o yet_o reveil_v know_v as_o for_o the_o person_n of_o elect_a man_n it_o be_v true_a the_o lord_n know_v who_o be_v his_o and_o make_v themselves_o also_o after_o their_o effectual_a call_n to_o know_v that_o they_o be_v his_o his_o spirit_n bear_v testimony_n unto_o their_o spirit_n that_o they_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n he_o give_v unto_o they_o that_o new_a name_n which_o none_o know_v but_o they_o who_o have_v it_o but_o now_o they_o be_v not_o so_o reveil_v that_o they_o be_v know_v of_o the_o world_n 21._o for_o this_o cause_n the_o world_n know_v you_o not_o because_o it_o know_v not_o he_o the_o good_a wheat_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v now_o so_o cover_v with_o chaff_n and_o his_o excellent_a pearl_n be_v lock_v up_o in_o earthen_a vessel_n the_o vessel_n be_v see_v and_o contemn_v for_o the_o baseness_n thereof_o the_o pearl_n be_v not_o see_v and_o therefore_o not_o esteem_v according_a to_o the_o excellency_n thereof_o beside_o this_o there_o be_v many_o of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n not_o yet_o come_v into_o the_o world_n and_o
