nothing_o so_o much_o as_o this_o only_a and_o chief_a work_n of_o our_o faith_n namely_o the_o mortification_n of_o our_o old_a adam_n which_o be_v the_o flesh_n 11_o chap._n 9_o 10._o &_o 11_o in_o the_o 9_o 10._o and_o 11._o chap._n he_o handle_v the_o matter_n of_o predestination_n for_o all_o the_o rest_n depend_v upon_o that_o namely_o who_o shall_v receive_v the_o word_n and_o who_o shall_v not_o who_o shall_v believe_v &_o who_o not_o who_o shall_v be_v free_v from_o sin_n who_o shall_v be_v blind_v who_o shall_v be_v damn_v and_o who_o shall_v be_v justify_v see_v therefore_o that_o both_o the_o send_n out_o of_o the_o preacher_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o word_n itself_o be_v of_o god_n it_o be_v certain_a that_o it_o lie_v in_o god_n hand_n only_o to_o justify_v us._n and_o sure_o this_o stable_a sentence_n and_o immovable_a necessity_n of_o predestination_n preach_v predestination_n must_v be_v teach_v &_o preach_v be_v a_o most_o necessary_a doctrine_n to_o be_v teach_v for_o we_o be_v so_o weak_a that_o if_o it_o be_v in_o our_o hand_n very_o few_o or_o rather_o none_o shall_v be_v save_v for_o the_o devil_n will_v overcome_v us._n yet_o now_o see_v this_o sentence_n &_o decree_n of_o god_n be_v most_o sure_a &_o certain_a so_o that_o it_o can_v be_v change_v or_o alter_v by_o any_o creature_n we_o have_v then_o good_a hope_n to_o overcome_v at_o the_o length_n these_o relic_n of_o sin_n although_o that_o now_o they_o rage_n in_o our_o flesh_n but_o these_o curious_a man_n who_o before_o they_o have_v learned_a christ_n &_o the_o virtue_n of_o his_o cross_n christian_n a_o caveat_n for_o curious_a christian_n do_v search_v the_o profundity_n &_o depth_n of_o predestination_n labour_v in_o vain_a to_o inquire_v whether_o they_o be_v predestinat_a to_o life_n or_o death_n must_v be_v rain_v strain_v and_o keep_v back_o with_o some_o holy_a bridle_n for_o without_o all_o doubt_n these_o man_n by_o this_o their_o foolish_a curiosity_n will_v lead_v &_o learn_v to_o cast_v themselves_o headlong_o into_o the_o confusion_n of_o their_o conscience_n or_o into_o the_o bottomless_a pit_n of_o desperation_n but_o thou_o dear_a christian_n see_v that_o in_o read_v &_o learn_v holy_a thing_n thou_o follow_v the_o order_n and_o method_n set_v down_o here_o in_o this_o place_n by_o the_o apostle_n method_n learn_v this_o godly_a method_n first_o
