in_o coloman-street_n the_o day_n abovemention_v about_o two_o in_o the_o afternoon_n to_o commend_v their_o present_a work_n unto_o the_o lord_n and_o desire_v his_o blessing_n upon_o they_o therein_o and_o then_o make_v their_o repair_n to_o our_o brother_n sympson_n where_o after_o a_o little_a wait_v for_o the_o come_n of_o our_o brother_n shrimpton_n and_o marsh_n who_o desire_v as_o the_o brethren_n be_v inform_v to_o hear_v what_o shall_v pass_v in_o relation_n to_o the_o letter_n this_o motion_n be_v also_o make_v by_o brother_n powell_n be_v also_o present_a that_o before_o they_o we_o be_v of_o one_o heart_n that_o the_o brethren_n aforemention_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o whole_a be_v desire_v to_o lay_v they_o before_o he_o with_o as_o much_o love_n &_o tenderness_n as_o can_v be_v and_o that_o we_o be_v also_o reprove_v in_o our_o own_o spirit_n as_o have_v miss_v of_o the_o will_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o we_o have_v it_o no_o more_o upon_o our_o heart_n to_o beg_v mercy_n for_o he_o at_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n that_o the_o lord_n will_v restore_v unto_o he_o that_o primitive_a spirit_n for_o the_o cause_n of_o christ_n &_o that_o many_o of_o our_o heart_n be_v break_v on_o his_o behalf_n at_o the_o read_n of_o his_o letter_n after_o a_o account_n thus_o give_v it_o be_v offer_v that_o a_o word_n shall_v be_v speak_v to_o the_o lord_n in_o prayer_n before_o any_o discourse_n shall_v be_v our_o brother_n sympson_n then_o speak_v to_o this_o effect_n that_o have_v have_v some_o knowledge_n of_o their_o come_n from_o some_o of_o we_o and_o the_o occasion_n of_o their_o come_n from_o some_o other_o before_o their_o meeting_n here_o he_o have_v private_o commend_v the_o business_n they_o be_v come_v about_o unto_o the_o lord_n as_o he_o do_v suppose_v they_o also_o have_v do_v likewise_o he_o judge_v that_o if_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v speak_v unto_o the_o lord_n in_o prayer_n he_o can_v not_o free_o join_v with_o they_o so_o neither_o if_o he_o shall_v speak_v there_o may_v be_v that_o speak_v wherein_o they_o can_v not_o free_o join_v with_o he_o which_o be_v preconsidered_n be_v judge_v it_o most_o convenient_a to_o proceed_v to_o the_o work_n without_o prayer_n and_o thereupon_o speak_v further_o to_o this_o purpose_n that_o since_o they_o profess_v they_o have_v in_o all_o plainness_n declare_v the_o ground_n of_o their_o come_n he_o will_v give_v they_o as_o plain_v a_o answer_n which_o that_o he_o may_v the_o better_o do_v he_o shall_v lay_v down_o his_o answer_n under_o three_o head_n 1._o as_o to_o themselves_o and_o those_o who_o they_o represent_v 2._o as_o to_o the_o church_n mean_v those_o with_o who_o he_o walk_v 3._o as_o to_o the_o letter_n about_o which_o our_o brethren_n come_v as_o to_o the_o first_o they_o be_v to_o know_v that_o he_o can_v not_o have_v discourse_v with_o they_o in_o regard_n that_o the_o church_n have_v deal_v with_o we_o and_o not_o only_o declare_v their_o dissatisfaction_n of_o our_o withdraw_n from_o they_o but_o also_o that_o he_o have_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o church_n admonish_v we_o of_o our_o evil_n therein_o &_o that_o they_o have_v wait_v upon_o we_o a_o great_a while_n to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v repent_v and_o return_v but_o we_o persist_v in_o our_o sin_n and_o refuse_v to_o hear_v the_o church_n we_o be_v thereby_o cut_v off_o from_o the_o privilege_n of_o the_o church_n and_o therefore_o he_o can_v not_o look_v upon_o we_o as_o brethren_n but_o as_o heathen_n and_o publican_n and_o so_o to_o refuse_v discourse_n with_o they_o upon_o account_n of_o the_o brotherhood_n according_a to_o that_o in_o matth_n 18._o which_o though_o they_o may_v look_v upon_o as_o very_o harsh_a and_o a_o manifestation_n of_o little_a love_n yet_o it_o be_v the_o rule_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o gospel_n he_o therefore_o be_v not_o to_o dispute_v the_o reason_n of_o it_o but_o rather_o to_o judge_v that_o obedience_n to_o the_o command_n of_o christ_n in_o this_o as_o well_o as_o in_o other_o thing_n be_v the_o only_a rule_n of_o love_n and_o therefore_o do_v declare_v that_o the_o church_n have_v so_o proceed_v against_o we_o he_o can_v not_o entertain_v any_o debate_n with_o
