the_o other_o if_o he_o have_v mingle_v a_o perverse_a spirit_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o we_o a_o spirit_n deaf_a to_o the_o voice_n of_o the_o charmer_n charm_v he_o never_o so_o wise_o harken_v to_o no_o accommodation_n submit_v to_o no_o term_n of_o communion_n fearful_a in_o thing_n indifferent_a and_o bold_a in_o thing_n unlawful_a a_o conscience_n tender_a at_o one_o time_n and_o fear_v at_o another_o easy_a of_o belief_n in_o surmise_n against_o authority_n but_o difficult_a and_o beyond_o all_o precedent_n scrupulous_a in_o poof_n that_o be_v for_o it_o a_o spirit_n of_o revenge_n and_o the_o lord_n shall_v have_v say_v as_o to_o that_o you_o shall_v persuade_v and_o prevail_v go_v forth_o and_o do_v so_o they_o will_v then_o effect_v their_o errand_n by_o our_o hatred_n of_o one_o anooth_a by_o our_o frowardness_n and_o disobedience_n they_o seem_v to_o be_v now_o at_o work_n by_o these_o they_o will_v engage_v we_o into_o a_o civil_a war_n and_o expose_v we_o to_o a_o foreign_a and_o then_o will_v arbitrary_a government_n and_o popery_n thing_n of_o foreign_a growth_n and_o stranger_n to_o our_o land_n come_v in_o with_o arm_a force_n through_o the_o wide_a breach_n we_o have_v make_v ourselves_o but_o may_v god_n be_v more_o merciful_a yet_o to_o we_o that_o so_o little_o deserve_v it_o check_v these_o unruly_a spirit_n that_o be_v go_v out_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o we_o and_o give_v we_o of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n may_v he_o that_o command_v the_o wind_n and_o the_o sea_n and_o they_o obey_v he_o he_o that_o be_v not_o in_o tempest_n nor_o earthquake_n but_o in_o the_o still_a voice_n restrain_v the_o strive_n lay_v the_o swell_n of_o the_o wave_n compose_v our_o mind_n and_o assuage_v our_o animosity_n turn_v the_o heart_n of_o the_o city_n at_o unity_n in_o itself_o god_n unite_v we_o before_o himself_o in_o his_o worship_n and_o before_o the_o face_n of_o our_o enemy_n for_o our_o defence_n that_o we_o may_v be_v a_o example_n to_o those_o of_o our_o religion_n that_o yet_o enjoy_v it_o undisturbed_a and_o a_o refuge_n to_o those_o that_o be_v distress_v that_o we_o be_v not_o the_o scandal_n now_o and_o a_o little_a after_o the_o ruin_n of_o the_o protestant_a profession_n to_o this_o effect_n let_v we_o beseech_v he_o that_o by_o his_o spirit_n he_o will_v give_v our_o governor_n a_o affectionate_a zeal_n for_o his_o honour_n for_o the_o good_a of_o his_o people_n long-suffering_a and_o gentleness_n towards_o those_o who_o much_o need_v it_o that_o he_o will_v possess_v the_o people_n with_o a_o reverend_a
