god_n speedy_o to_o put_v yourselves_o upon_o the_o practice_n of_o these_o direction_n or_o no_o if_o you_o think_v these_o thing_n more_o than_o necessary_a and_o be_v ready_a to_o say_v what_o you_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n and_o member_n in_o particular_a mean_v of_o the_o mystical_a body_n of_o christ._n this_o union_n of_o the_o regenerate_v with_o christ_n be_v one_o of_o the_o great_a mystery_n of_o our_o christian_a faith_n 1.14_o and_o it_o be_v a_o mystery_n of_o a_o unspeakable_a comfort_n and_o consolation_n for_o by_o virtue_n of_o our_o union_n with_o christ_n god_n be_v our_o father_n christ_n be_v our_o brother_n and_o our_o husband_n and_o head_n heaven_n be_v our_o inheritance_n angel_n be_v our_o attendant_n and_o guardian_n who_o be_v send_v forth_o to_o minister_v for_o they_o who_o shall_v be_v heir_n of_o salvation_n these_o angel_n be_v those_o horse_n and_o chariot_n of_o fire_n which_o be_v round_o about_o elisha_n and_o which_o be_v also_o whereas_o by_o natural_a propagation_n they_o be_v the_o child_n of_o wrath_n by_o this_o regeneration_n they_o be_v the_o child_n of_o grace_n be_v translate_v out_o of_o the_o family_n of_o satan_n into_o god_n own_o family_n and_o in_o and_o through_o christ_n they_o be_v make_v the_o adopt_a son_n of_o god_n oh_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v open_v our_o eye_n to_o see_v this_o privilege_n 3.1_o behold_v say_v st._n john_n what_o manner_n of_o love_n the_o father_n have_v bestow_v on_o we_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v call_v the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o apostle_n not_o be_v able_a to_o express_v regenerate_a that_o they_o be_v in_o a_o state_n of_o freedom_n be_v free_v 1._o from_o satan_n though_o not_o from_o the_o assault_n and_o temptation_n of_o satan_n yet_o from_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n for_o our_o saviour_n christ_n by_o his_o death_n have_v destroy_v he_o that_o have_v the_o power_n of_o death_n 2.14_o that_o be_v the_o devil_n he_o have_v now_o break_v the_o serpent_n head_n so_o that_o though_o he_o may_v hiss_v against_o we_o yet_o he_o can_v sting_v we_o though_o he_o may_v assault_v we_o yet_o he_o can_v overcome_v we_o and_o though_o he_o go_v about_o like_o a_o roar_a lion_n 5.8_o sâ—â—king_v who_o he_o may_v devour_v yet_o christ_n have_v he_o in_o a_o
chain_n and_o he_o can_v go_v one_o link_n thereof_o far_o than_o he_o please_v 2_o from_o siâ—_n though_o the_o regenerate_v be_v not_o free_v from_o the_o in-being_a of_o sin_n which_o do_v and_o will_v live_v in_o they_o so_o long_o as_o they_o live_v in_o this_o world_n yet_o be_v they_o free_v both_o from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n and_o from_o the_o power_n and_o dominion_n of_o sin_n 1._o from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n that_o be_v from_o that_o wrath_n and_o punishment_n which_o be_v due_a to_o sin_n so_o that_o none_o of_o our_o sin_n shall_v be_v able_a to_o condemn_v we_o for_o christ_n as_o our_o surety_n saviour_n and_o redeemer_n do_v bear_v all_o our_o sin_n in_o his_o body_n upon_o the_o tree_n and_o there_o offer_v up_o his_o life_n as_o a_o all_o sufficient_a sacrifice_n and_o full_a satisfaction_n to_o god_n justice_n for_o the_o same_o so_o that_o god_n be_v full_o satisfy_v by_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n for_o our_o sin_n he_o will_v not_o nay_o he_o can_v in_o justice_n require_v satisfaction_n again_o from_o we_o well_o therefore_o may_v the_o apostle_n make_v this_o bold_a challenge_n 34._o who_o shall_v lay_v any_o thing_n to_o the_o charge_n of_o god_n elect_v see_v christ_n have_v die_v and_o by_o his_o death_n full_o satisfy_v god_n justice_n for_o their_o sin_n 2._o from_o the_o power_n and_o dominion_n of_o sin_n which_o come_v to_o pass_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n convey_v to_o they_o whereby_o their_o sin_n be_v in_o some_o measure_n mortify_v and_o subdue_v so_o that_o they_o do_v not_o rule_v nor_o reign_v in_o they_o as_o former_o sin_n shall_v not_o have_v dominion_n over_o you_o say_v the_o apostle_n and_o why_o because_o you_o be_v not_o under_o the_o law_n but_o under_o grace_n in_o our_o unregenerate_a estate_n sin_n have_v not_o only_a possession_n of_o we_o but_o dominion_n over_o we_o so_o that_o we_o do_v yield_v a_o willing_a subjection_n unto_o the_o command_n of_o sin_n but_o since_o we_o be_v regenerate_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n we_o be_v free_v though_o not_o from_o the_o in-being_a yet_o from_o the_o dominion_n of_o sin_n so_o that_o though_o sin_n may_v tyrannize_v over_o we_o yet_o shall_v it_o not_o reign_v in_o we_o we_o shall_v not_o yield_v a_o free_a and_o willing_a obedience_n to_o the_o command_n thereof_o this_o be_v the_o great_a comfort_n of_o god_n child_n that_o though_o sin_n be_v not_o remove_v yet_o it_o be_v subdue_v though_o they_o oftentimes_o feel_v the_o work_n and_o stir_n of_o corruption_n in_o they_o which_o make_v they_o to_o have_v many_o a_o sad_a heart_n and_o wet_a eye_n yet_o be_v they_o free_v through_o christ_n from_o the_o dominion_n of_o sin_n 3._o the_o regenerate_v be_v free_v from_o the_o law_n not_o only_o from_o the_o ceremonial_a and_o judicial_a law_n which_o be_v peculiar_a to_o the_o jew_n and_o die_v with_o the_o decay_n of_o their_o commonwealth_n but_o likewise_o from_o the_o moral_a law_n which_o concern_v all_o man_n at_o all_o time_n in_o all_o place_n yet_o not_o as_o it_o be_v a_o rule_n of_o obedience_n and_o christian_a walk_v for_o so_o it_o still_o remain_v in_o force_n even_o to_o the_o child_n of_o god_n even_o after_o their_o regeneration_n but_o 1._o as_o it_o be_v a_o covenant_n of_o work_n or_o as_o the_o covenant_n thereof_o be_v work_n we_o be_v not_o absolute_o bind_v to_o such_o rigour_n and_o exactness_n as_o that_o require_v indeed_o we_o ought_v to_o endeavour_v after_o the_o most_o perfect_a obedience_n and_o to_o be_v humble_v for_o our_o defect_n and_o fail_n therein_o but_o not_o to_o despair_v because_o of_o they_o for_o all_o fail_n not_o allow_v be_v pardon_v beside_o christ_n our_o surety_n have_v in_o all_o thing_n fullfil_v the_o law_n and_o perform_v perfect_a obedience_n thereunto_o so_o that_o the_o strictness_n of_o the_o law_n be_v fulfil_v by_o our_o surety_n it_o be_v not_o expect_v that_o it_o shall_v be_v perform_v by_o we_o in_o our_o own_o person_n 2._o we_o be_v free_v from_o the_o curse_n and_o condemnation_n of_o the_o law_n 3.13_o christ_n say_v the_o apostle_n have_v redeem_v we_o from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n be_v make_v a_o curse_n for_o we_o so_o that_o although_o we_o do_v not_o perform_v it_o in_o that_o exact_a manner_n and_o measure_n which_o it_o require_v yet_o our_o transgression_n shall_v not_o be_v impute_v to_o we_o to_o condemnation_n the_o law_n may_v condemn_v the_o action_n but_o not_o the_o person_n of_o the_o regenerate_v it_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o they_o 8.1_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n say_v there_o be_v no_o condemnation_n to_o they_o which_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n v._o provision_n of_o all_o needful_a good_a thing_n be_v another_o privilege_n of_o the_o regenerate_v who_o have_v a_o right_n to_o all_o good_a thing_n through_o christ_n and_o the_o possession_n of_o all_o thing_n god_n see_v good_a for_o they_o it_o be_v observable_a that_o when_o god_n be_v with_o israel_n in_o the_o wilderness_n where_o nothing_o be_v to_o be_v have_v they_o lack_v nothing_o 2.7_o it_o be_v natural_o engraft_a into_o all_o parent_n to_o provide_v for_o their_o child_n what_o then_o can_v they_o want_v who_o have_v god_n for_o their_o father_n who_o as_o he_o be_v all-sufficient_a so_o a_o most_o love_a father_n to_o his_o child_n who_o love_n far_o surpass_v the_o love_n of_o natural_a parent_n to_o their_o child_n be_v thou_o a_o child_n of_o god_n by_o regeneration_n then_o look_v up_o to_o thy_o heavenly_a father_n for_o a_o supply_n of_o all_o good_a thing_n for_o can_v they_o that_o be_v evil_a know_v how_o to_o give_v good_a gift_n to_o their_o child_n say_v our_o saviour_n and_o shall_v not_o your_o heavenly_a father_n give_v to_o
