only_o god_n above_o dan._n lay_v these_o two_o together_o then_o that_o the_o devil_n only_o hurt_v and_o that_o none_o can_v give_v he_o power_n neither_o man_n nor_o woman_n but_o only_o god_n and_o tell_v i_o whether_o the_o people_n be_v not_o wonderful_o carry_v awry_o in_o a_o rage_n for_o when_o as_o they_o shall_v consider_v that_o the_o devil_n be_v the_o lord_n executioner_n and_o then_o find_v that_o he_o have_v any_o power_n give_v he_o to_o molest_v to_o hurt_v and_o vex_v they_o in_o their_o body_n or_o good_n to_o know_v certain_o it_o come_v from_o the_o lord_n and_o then_o gather_v from_o thence_o as_o the_o truth_n be_v that_o the_o lord_n be_v displease_v with_o they_o for_o their_o offence_n and_o so_o seek_v unto_o he_o humble_o crave_v pardon_n and_o deliverance_n from_o this_o enemy_n seék_v to_o be_v arm_v with_o the_o mighty_a power_n of_o faith_n to_o cast_v he_o forth_o and_o to_o resist_v he_o as_o the_o lord_n will_v 1._o pet._n 5_o here_o mean_n which_o those_o devil_n by_o the_o cunning_a man_n &_o woman_n appoint_v scratch_v and_o claw_v thirst_v often_o after_o guiltless_a blood_n as_o rage_v against_o those_o whomethey_a imagine_v to_o be_v witch_n which_o many_o time_n be_v not_o because_o they_o imagine_v that_o if_o there_o be_v no_o witch_n there_o shall_v be_v no_o such_o plague_n as_o if_o they_o have_v no_o foul_a sin_n nor_o unbeleéfe_n or_o that_o there_o remain_v not_o a_o just_a revenge_a god_n to_o punish_v or_o as_o if_o he_o have_v not_o the_o devil_n still_o the_o executioner_n of_o his_o wrath_n m._n b._n clear_v the_o witch_n because_o god_n and_o not_o they_o give_v the_o devil_n power_n and_o do_v you_o think_v that_o the_o devil_n shall_v kill_v man_n and_o their_o cattle_n if_o they_o be_v not_o send_v by_o witch_n shall_v the_o harm_n still_o follow_v if_o there_o be_v no_o witch_n dan._n that_o i_o say_v god_n alone_o and_o not_o the_o witch_n give_v power_n unto_o the_o devil_n to_o plague_n and_o torment_v it_o be_v so_o evident_a as_o that_o i_o suppose_v a_o man_n shall_v hardly_o meet_v with_o any_o man_n so_o gross_a but_o will_v confess_v it_o but_o this_o do_v not_o clear_a the_o witch_n at_o all_o for_o their_o sin_n be_v in_o deal_n with_o devil_n and_o that_o they_o imagine_v that_o their_o spirit_n do_v those_o harm_n request_v and_o hire_v by_o they_o when_o as_o indeed_o the_o devil_n where_o he_o have_v power_n give_v he_o to_o hurt_v or_o where_o he_o know_v death_n or_o grievous_a disease_n will_v follow_v either_o in_o man_n or_o beast_n set_v the_o witch_n in_o a_o rage_n and_o move_v she_o to_o send_v he_o concern_v your_o other_o question_n i_o say_v we_o shall_v find_v by_o the_o scripture_n that_o if_o there_o be_v no_o witch_n at_o all_o yet_o man_n shall_v be_v plague_v by_o the_o devil_n in_o their_o body_n and_o good_n for_o touch_v the_o godly_a the_o lord_n do_v use_v satan_n to_o afflict_v they_o in_o their_o body_n and_o in_o their_o good_n for_o to_o try_v their_o faith_n and_o patience_n as_o the_o example_n of_o holy_a job_n do_v testify_v in_o ample_a manner_n it_o be_v vile_a folly_n and_o brutish_a to_o affirm_v that_o witch_n do_v set_v on_o the_o devil_n to_o kill_v his_o child_n and_o to_o plague_v his_o body_n and_o i_o hold_v it_o no_o small_a folly_n for_o any_o man_n to_o think_v that_o the_o lord_n do_v not_o now_o scourge_v his_o child_n at_o the_o least_o some_o of_o they_o for_o their_o good_a by_o the_o devil_n there_o be_v no_o doubt_n but_o the_o devil_n have_v power_n give_v he_o to_o afflict_v use_v all_o the_o craft_n he_o can_v and_o will_v seék_v to_o be_v send_v by_o the_o witch_n and_o so_o he_o will_v make_v it_o know_v because_o it_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v not_o from_o god_n but_o from_o the_o anger_n of_o a_o poor_a woman_n and_o now_o touch_v the_o wicked_a which_o provoke_v god_n by_o their_o wicked_a sin_n and_o unbelief_n may_v we_o not_o read_v in_o the_o scripture_n that_o a_o evil_a spirit_n be_v send_v of_o god_n unto_o king_n saul_n which_o do_v haunt_v and_o vex_v he_o be_v this_o spirit_n send_v by_o a_o witch_n or_o the_o devil_n in_o the_o gospel_n which_o enter_v into_o the_o hear_v of_o swine_n and_o drown_v they_o do_v the_o lord_n give_v they_o power_n and_o send_v they_o and_o shall_v we_o be_v so_o sottish_a as_o to_o think_v that_o he_o send_v not_o the_o devil_n now_o against_o ungodly_a man_n to_o plague_v and_o to_o destroy_v they_o as_o i_o say_v before_o here_o be_v the_o deep_a craft_n of_o satan_n that_o he_o will_v covet_v to_o be_v send_v by_o witch_n whereas_o indeed_o god_n have_v send_v he_o see_v none_o can_v send_v he_o but_o god_n again_o we_o must_v consider_v that_o there_o be_v natural_a cause_n in_o the_o body_n of_o man_n and_o beast_n of_o grievous_a torment_n and_o disease_n yea_o even_o cause_v of_o death_n now_o they_o can_v be_v so_o secret_a but_o the_o devil_n know_v they_o and_o even_o when_o they_o be_v like_a to_o take_v effect_n then_o do_v he_o ply_v it_o with_o the_o witch_n set_v she_o in_o a_o fury_n she_o send_v he_o even_o upon_o this_o send_v the_o man_n or_o the_o beast_n sudden_o and_o strange_o be_v torment_v fall_v lame_a or_o die_v then_o the_o witch_n be_v suspect_v examine_v and_o confess_v that_o she_o kill_v such_o a_o man_n or_o such_o a_o
