one_o more_o than_o the_o other_o the_o work_n of_o the_o flesh_n be_v so_o manifest_o evil_a that_o no_o man_n of_o common_a sense_n can_v light_o be_v mistake_v in_o they_o murder_n sedition_n drunkenness_n adultery_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a any_o man_n shall_v be_v of_o such_o gross_a understanding_n as_o to_o imagine_v they_o shall_v be_v the_o fruit_n of_o god_n holy_a spirit_n they_o and_o specious_a counterfeit_n that_o carry_v a_o semblance_n of_o spiritual_a fruit_n but_o be_v not_o the_o thing_n they_o seem_v to_o be_v and_o on_o the_o other_o side_n inordinate_a love_n of_o ourselves_o partly_o and_o partly_o want_v of_o charity_n towards_o our_o brethren_n have_v so_o dispose_v we_o to_o a_o capacity_n of_o be_v deceive_v that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o wonder_n if_o in_o pass_v our_o judgement_n especial_o where_o ourselves_o be_v concern_v we_o be_v very_o much_o and_o very_a often_o mistake_v it_o may_v rather_o be_v a_o wonder_n if_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v sometime_o mistake_v as_o most_o error_n claim_v to_o be_v a_o little_a a_o kin_n to_o some_o truth_n so_o most_o vice_n challenge_v a_o kind_n of_o affinity_n to_o some_o virtue_n not_o so_o much_o from_o any_o proper_a intrinsical_a true_a resemblance_n they_o have_v with_o such_o virtue_n as_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o common_a opposition_n they_o both_o have_v to_o one_o and_o the_o same_o contrary_a vice_n as_o prodigality_n have_v some_o overly_o likeness_n with_o liberality_n and_o so_o may_v hap_v to_o be_v mistake_v for_o it_o for_o no_o other_o cause_n but_o this_o only_a that_o they_o be_v both_o contrary_a to_o covetousness_n {non-roman}_o {non-roman}_o {non-roman}_o {non-roman}_o {non-roman}_o say_v aristotle_n true_o fallacy_n and_o deception_n for_o the_o most_o part_n arise_v from_o the_o appearance_n of_o some_o likeness_n or_o similitude_n when_o thing_n that_o be_v like_a but_o not_o the_o same_o be_v take_v to_o be_v the_o same_o because_o they_o be_v like_a they_o that_o have_v give_v we_o mark_n of_o sincerity_n for_o the_o trial_n of_o our_o grace_n have_v not_o be_v able_a to_o give_v we_o any_o certain_a rule_n or_o infalliable_a character_n whereby_o to_o try_v the_o sincerity_n of_o those_o mark_n so_o as_o to_o remove_v all_o doubt_v and_o possibility_n of_o err_a whence_o i_o suppose_v i_o may_v safe_o infer_v that_o the_o certainty_n of_o a_o man_n present_a stand_n in_o grace_n but_o much_o more_o than_o of_o his_o eternal_a future_a salvation_n although_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o by_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n it_o may_v be_v attainable_a in_o this_o life_n and_o that_o without_o extraordinary_a revelation_n in_o such_o a_o measure_n as_o may_v sustain_v the_o soul_n of_o a_o honest_a christian_n with_o comfort_n be_v not_o yet_o either_o so_o absolute_o necessary_a nor_o so_o void_a of_o fear_n and_o doubt_n as_o some_o perhaps_o have_v imagine_v not_o so_o necessary_a but_o that_o a_o man_n may_v be_v save_v without_o it_o many_o a_o good_a soul_n no_o doubt_n there_o be_v in_o the_o world_n that_o out_o of_o the_o experience_n of_o the_o falseness_n of_o his_o own_o heart_n and_o the_o fear_n of_o self-deceit_n and_o the_o sense_n of_o his_o own_o unworthiness_n can_v never_o yet_o attain_v to_o be_v so_o well_o persuade_v of_o the_o sincerity_n of_o his_o own_o repentance_n faith_n and_o sure_a and_o i_o think_v of_o truth_n also_o to_o pronounce_v such_o a_o man_n to_o be_v out_o of_o the_o state_n of_o salvation_n or_o to_o call_v such_o his_o dispersuasion_n by_o the_o name_n of_o despair_n and_o under_o that_o name_n to_o condemn_v it_o there_o be_v a_o common_a but_o a_o great_a mistake_n in_o this_o matter_n despair_n be_v quite_o another_o manner_n of_o thing_n than_o many_o take_v it_o for_o when_o a_o man_n think_v himself_o so_o incapable_a of_o god_n pardon_n that_o he_o grow_v thereupon_o regardless_o of_o all_o duty_n and_o neither_o care_v what_o he_o do_v nor_o what_o shall_v become_v of_o he_o when_o he_o be_v once_o come_v to_o this_o resolution_n over_o shoe_n over_o boot_n i_o know_v god_n will_v never_o forgive_v i_o and_o therefore_o i_o will_v salvation_n that_o it_o be_v in_o the_o ready_a way_n to_o secure_v it_o but_o where_o the_o great_a certainty_n be_v that_o can_v be_v attain_v to_o in_o this_o life_n by_o ordinary_a mean_n it_o be_v not_o ordinary_o unless_o perhaps_o to_o some_o few_o person_n at_o the_o very_a hour_n of_o death_n so_o perfect_a as_o to_o exclude_v all_o doubt_n the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n where_o they_o be_v true_a and_o sincere_a be_v but_o imperfect_a in_o this_o life_n and_o the_o truth_n and_o sincerity_n of_o they_o be_v not_o always_o so_o manifest_a but_o that_o a_o man_n may_v
