have_v now_o by_o our_o weak_a believe_v we_o shall_v then_o have_v another_o manner_n of_o sight_n of_o the_o wisdom_n and_o power_n and_o love_n and_o justice_n that_o appear_v to_o man_n in_o the_o face_n of_o christ_n then_o now_o we_o have_v 4._o yea_o the_o torment_a discovery_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o redemption_n to_o the_o condemn_a rejecter_n of_o it_o shall_v also_o contribute_v to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n you_o see_v then_o that_o this_o work_n have_v most_o glorious_a end_n which_o i_o have_v mention_v the_o more_o large_o both_o to_o remove_v their_o temptation_n that_o be_v apt_a to_o think_v that_o it_o be_v a_o unnecessary_a thing_n and_o therefore_o the_o less_o regardable_a and_o to_o teach_v man_n the_o true_a value_n of_o it_o by_o show_v they_o the_o true_a consequent_o tempt_v many_o to_o infidelity_n for_o the_o end_n and_o use_v do_v set_v the_o value_n on_o the_o mean_n that_o be_v of_o little_a worth_n that_o be_v to_o little_a purpose_n and_o do_v but_o little_a good_a if_o man_n understand_v more_o the_o end_n of_o redemption_n and_o how_o much_o of_o god_n do_v shine_v forth_o in_o the_o world_n in_o the_o person_n and_o life_n and_o law_n and_o work_v of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n they_o will_v then_o live_v in_o the_o admiration_n of_o it_o and_o be_v always_o search_v and_o pry_v into_o it_o and_o desire_v to_o know_v nothing_o but_o god_n in_o christ_n crucify_a and_o account_v all_o thing_n else_o but_o as_o loss_n and_o dung_n for_o this_o excellent_a knowledge_n but_o alas_o the_o most_o do_v sâ—arce_o discern_v any_o high_a end_n of_o christ_n or_o other_o use_n of_o he_o then_o to_o save_v themselves_o from_o hell_n and_o for_o want_v of_o faith_n and_o through_o humiliation_n they_o have_v but_o little_a sense_n
those_o best_a that_o be_v of_o his_o own_o opinion_n though_o there_o be_v nothing_o of_o the_o special_a image_n of_o god_n upon_o his_o soul_n or_o if_o he_o love_v a_o true_a christian_a it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o for_o his_o holiness_n and_o spirituality_n as_o because_o he_o be_v of_o his_o mind_n in_o those_o matter_n of_o opinion_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o he_o be_v usual_o a_o bitter_a censurer_n of_o those_o that_o be_v not_o of_o his_o opinion_n how_o upright_o soever_o they_o may_v be_v his_o very_a esteem_n of_o man_n and_o love_n to_o they_o be_v partial_a and_o factious_a to_o those_o that_o be_v of_o his_o mind_n and_o sect_n a_o papist_n will_v esteem_v and_o love_v man_n of_o the_o popish_a sect_n and_o a_o anabaptist_n will_v esteem_v and_o love_v man_n of_o that_o sect_n most_o yea_o a_o protestant_a if_o he_o be_v a_o opinionist_n do_v esteem_n of_o man_n and_o love_v they_o as_o a_o sect_n whereas_o the_o true_a christian_a as_o he_o be_v true_o catholic_n and_o of_o the_o catholic_n church_n which_o be_v not_o confine_v to_o papist_n no_o nor_o protestant_n so_o he_o have_v true_o catholic_n affection_n and_o love_v a_o christian_n as_o a_o christian_a a_o godly_a man_n as_o godly_a yea_o if_o he_o see_v more_o serious_a godliness_n in_o one_o that_o be_v not_o of_o his_o opinion_n in_o lesser_a thing_n yet_o will_v he_o love_v he_o more_o than_o one_o that_o be_v in_o such_o matter_n of_o his_o opinion_n that_o be_v ungodly_a or_o of_o more_o doubtful_a piety_n for_o as_o it_o be_v god_n in_o christ_n that_o he_o principal_o love_v so_o it_o be_v christ_n that_o he_o admire_v in_o his_o member_n and_o so_o much_o of_o christ_n as_o he_o see_v in_o any_o so_o much_o be_v his_o special_a affection_n towards_o they_o 9_o ordinary_o the_o mere_a opinionist_n will_v sacrifice_v the_o very_a end_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o honour_n and_o success_n of_o the_o great_a fundamental_a truth_n of_o god_n to_o the_o interest_n of_o those_o opinion_n which_o he_o have_v in_o a_o singular_a manner_n to_o his_o own_o he_o will_v rather_o hinder_v the_o propagation_n of_o the_o common_a truth_n and_o the_o conversion_n of_o the_o ignorant_a than_o he_o will_v silence_v his_o opinion_n or_o suffer_v they_o to_o lose_v any_o advantage_n with_o the_o world_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o we_o can_v prevail_v with_o the_o papist_n to_o silence_v a_o while_n the_o difference_n between_o we_o and_o they_o till_o we_o have_v teach_v their_o ignorant_a in_o ireland_n and_o other_o barbarous_a part_n the_o knowledge_n of_o those_o truth_n that_o all_o be_v agree_v in_o nor_o can_v we_o get_v many_o anabaptist_n or_o any_o such_o sect_n that_o be_v engage_v in_o a_o division_n to_o forbear_v their_o opinion_n till_o we_o have_v endeavour_v â—o_o lay_v the_o necessary_a ground_n on_o which_o all_o must_v build_v that_o will_v be_v save_v but_o though_o it_o be_v apparent_a to_o the_o world_n that_o their_o dispute_n and_o unseasonable_a intemperate_a brute_v of_o their_o conceit_n and_o will_v not_o be_v persuade_v to_o agree_v on_o those_o term_n for_o the_o manage_n of_o difference_n as_o most_o tend_v to_o secure_v the_o interest_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o gospel_n in_o the_o main_a if_o a_o opinionist_n be_v for_o the_o truth_n he_o be_v usual_o without_o much_o zeal_n for_o it_o because_o that_o nature_n do_v not_o befriend_v the_o great_a spiritual_a truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n so_o much_o as_o it_o do_v error_n and_o private_a conceit_n but_o if_o he_o be_v of_o erroneous_a opinion_n he_o be_v usual_o very_o zealous_a for_o they_o for_o corrupt_a nature_n and_o self_n and_o satan_n and_o the_o world_n ofttimes_o do_v more_o befriend_v these_o and_o furnish_v he_o with_o a_o zeal_n for_o they_o and_o blow_v the_o coal_n the_o counterfeit_a angel_n of_o light_n be_v very_o ordinary_o also_o a_o spirit_n of_o heat_n and_o great_a activity_n not_o a_o revive_a fire_n nor_o a_o refine_n fire_n it_o deep_a root_n he_o close_v with_o god_n as_o his_o only_a felicity_n and_o with_o christ_n as_o his_o only_a refuge_n and_o redeemer_n and_o with_o heaven_n as_o the_o sure_a everlasting_a glory_n to_o which_o the_o world_n be_v but_o a_o molehill_n or_o a_o dungeon_n no_o wonder_n then_o if_o this_o man_n be_v steadfast_a and_o unmovable_a always_o abound_v in_o the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o know_v his_o labour_n be_v not_o in_o vain_a in_o the_o lord_n 1_o cor._n 15._o 58._o but_o the_o opinionist_n either_o fasten_v on_o small_a matter_n or_o else_o hold_v these_o great_a matter_n but_o as_o bare_a opinion_n and_o therefore_o they_o have_v no_o such_o interest_n in_o his_o heart_n as_o to_o establish_v he_o against_o shake_a trial_n and_o temptation_n for_o two_o sortâ—_n there_o be_v of_o these_o opinionist_n the_o onâ—_n sort_n have_v no_o zeal_n for_o their_o own_o opinion_n because_o they_o be_v but_o opinion_n and_o these_o be_v time-servers_a and_o will_v change_v as_o the_o king_n or_o their_o landlord_n change_v and_o fit_a their_o opinion_n to_o their_o worldly_a ends._n the_o other_o sort_n have_v a_o burn_a zeal_n for_o their_o opinion_n and_o these_o use_n to_o wander_v from_o one_o opinion_n to_o another_o not_o able_a to_o resist_v the_o subtlety_n of_o seducer_n but_o be_v take_v with_o fair_a and_o plausible_a reason_n not_o able_a to_o see_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o cause_n these_o be_v as_o child_n tâ—ssed_v to_o and_o fro_o and_o carry_v about_o with_o every_o wind_n of_o doctrine_n by_o the_o slight_a and_o of_o your_o soul_n and_o therefore_o if_o you_o shall_v have_v true_a resolution_n at_o the_o last_o which_o be_v too_o rare_a you_o can_v choose_v but_o be_v much_o in_o doubt_n of_o they_o when_o you_o find_v so_o much_o of_o fear_n upon_o your_o spirit_n and_o consider_v that_o you_o never_o will_v resolve_v till_o then_o and_o therefore_o if_o you_o will_v have_v a_o comfortable_a change_n resolve_v now_o in_o your_o prosperity_n before_o the_o face_n of_o death_n affright_v you_o to_o it_o and_o those_o fear_n and_o the_o lateness_n do_v make_v you_o question_v the_o truth_n and_o soundness_n of_o it_o and_o so_o deprive_v you_o of_o the_o comfort_n which_o you_o have_v so_o much_o need_n of_o at_o a_o die_a hour_n and_o thus_o i_o have_v give_v you_o twenty_o consideration_n long_o after_o full_a revelation_n of_o the_o heavenly_a kingdom_n and_o mystery_n and_o marvel_n that_o god_n will_v not_o show_v himself_o more_o full_o to_o his_o saint_n on_o earth_n fain_o we_o will_v know_v more_o of_o god_n and_o christ_n and_o the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o it_o be_v oft_o matter_n of_o some_o temptation_n to_o we_o that_o god_n do_v not_o satisfy_v these_o desire_n but_o leave_v they_o in_o so_o much_o darkness_n that_o be_v willing_a of_o his_o light_n but_o this_o be_v because_o we_o do_v not_o consider_v how_o much_o of_o glory_n consist_v in_o the_o light_n and_o second_o i_o answer_v that_o certain_a i_o be_o that_o god_n be_v demonstrate_v to_o his_o angel_n in_o the_o redeemer_n yea_o in_o the_o church_n itself_o which_o be_v the_o subject_a of_o his_o grace_n and_o that_o they_o be_v both_o affect_a and_o employ_v about_o we_o according_o he_o that_o spoil_v principality_n and_o power_n and_o open_o triumph_v over_o they_o and_o by_o death_n
