be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n second_o there_o be_v a_o cry_n in_o affliction_n that_o do_v spring_n from_o impatiency_n and_o that_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n when_o a_o man_n or_o woman_n shall_v cry_v shall_v give_v way_n to_o hard_a thought_n of_o god_n whatever_o cry_n be_v accompany_v with_o unbelief_n be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n yet_o this_o be_v the_o case_n of_o many_o they_o can_v persuade_v themselves_o that_o there_o be_v any_o love_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n towards_o they_o and_o any_o love_n in_o such_o a_o affliction_n i_o can_v believe_v it_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v love_n in_o such_o a_o affliction_n that_o god_n shall_v lay_v such_o a_o heavy_a burden_n upon_o i_o and_o have_v any_o love_n to_o i_o when_o it_o cry_v out_o thus_o with_o unbelieving_a cry_n this_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n and_o so_o when_o a_o man_n can_v be_v persuade_v that_o the_o lord_n shall_v make_v a_o good_a end_n with_o he_o in_o affliction_n o_o sure_a i_o shall_v perish_v one_o day_n and_o a_o deal_n of_o time_n in_o ask_v food_n and_o raiment_n and_o if_o he_o do_v not_o give_v it_o go_v away_o rail_v what_o a_o deal_n of_o folly_n be_v it_o and_o so_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o folly_n there_o be_v when_o we_o do_v go_v to_o the_o creature_n and_o do_v not_o go_v to_o god_n we_o go_v to_o they_o that_o be_v poor_a and_o naked_a and_o forsake_v god_n that_o have_v all_o store_n of_o provision_n and_o mercy_n lay_v up_o in_o himself_o o_o that_o the_o consideration_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o folly_n in_o go_v to_o the_o creature_n may_v cause_v we_o at_o all_o time_n in_o our_o the_o fruit_n of_o it_o it_o carry_v her_o soul_n to_o christ_n in_o a_o way_n of_o supplication_n and_o prayer_n and_o the_o argument_n she_o use_v in_o prayer_n be_v only_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o christ_n have_v mercy_n on_o i_o thou_o son_n of_o david_n the_o doctrine_n be_v this_o that_o wherever_o there_o be_v 〈◊〉_d seed_n of_o faith_n in_o any_o foul_a it_o will_v carry_v it_o out_o to_o three_o a_o gracious_a heart_n plead_v only_a mercy_n and_o free_a grace_n only_o take_v hold_v of_o mercy_n and_o look_v not_o at_o all_o to_o his_o own_o worthiness_n i_o speak_v to_o the_o first_o of_o these_o the_o last_o day_n i_o shall_v
cry_v the_o more_o earnest_o after_o he_o he_o see_v that_o they_o begin_v to_o flag_n in_o their_o prayer_n and_o do_v not_o cry_v so_o loud_o as_o they_o have_v do_v the_o lord_n he_o will_v withdraw_v that_o so_o he_o may_v stir_v up_o a_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n bring_v they_o into_o such_o a_o affliction_n that_o so_o they_o may_v cry_v the_o more_o earnest_o the_o storm_n be_v raise_v when_o christ_n be_v upon_o the_o sea_n with_o his_o disciple_n to_o make_v they_o cry_v the_o more_o earnest_o the_o lord_n seem_v to_o sleep_v many_o time_n at_o the_o prayer_n of_o his_o people_n that_o so_o by_o the_o prayer_n of_o his_o people_n he_o may_v be_v awaken_v quest_n but_o you_o will_v say_v what_o need_v we_o cry_v thus_o earnest_o to_o the_o lord_n for_o he_o be_v find_v of_o they_o that_o seek_v he_o not_o we_o can_v find_v god_n by_o our_o seekiâ—â—_n he_o he_o must_v seek_v we_o he_o be_v find_v of_o they_o that_o 〈◊〉_d he_o not_o answ_n i_o answer_v it_o be_v true_a god_n be_v find_v 〈◊〉_d they_o that_o seek_v he_o not_o that_o be_v when_o god_n come_v first_o into_o a_o poor_a soul_n he_o break_v in_o upon_o it_o he_o prevent_v it_o with_o grace_n and_o mercy_n and_o he_o seek_v we_o and_o bring_v home_o grace_n and_o mercy_n to_o the_o soul_n before_o the_o soul_n seek_v the_o lord_n but_o now_o when_o the_o lord_n have_v find_v a_o soul_n and_o bring_v home_o a_o soul_n to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o himself_o through_o christ_n o_o then_o he_o expect_v that_o that_o soul_n shall_v continual_o wait_v upon_o he_o and_o be_v seek_v of_o he_o in_o that_o way_n which_o be_v of_o the_o lord_n own_o appointment_n it_o be_v true_a he_o be_v find_v many_o time_n of_o those_o that_o seek_v he_o not_o but_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o find_v of_o those_o that_o seek_v he_o lazy_o he_o hear_v not_o cold_a prayer_n no_o it_o be_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o spirit_n the_o lord_n hear_v quest_n ah_o but_o some_o will_v say_v i_o can_v cry_v and_o pray_v i_o can_v continue_v in_o prayer_n my_o spirit_n be_v overwhelm_v and_o i_o be_o so_o shut_v up_o that_o i_o know_v not_o how_o to_o utter_v a_o word_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n answ_n i_o answer_v though_o thy_o spirit_n be_v overwhelm_v thou_o may_v pray_v and_o cry_v aloud_o to_o the_o lord_n david_n do_v so_o and_o why_o may_v not_o thou_o psal_n 142._o 3._o i_o cry_v say_v he_o and_o it_o be_v when_o my_o spirit_n be_v overwhelm_v and_o although_o thou_o can_v not_o utter_v a_o word_n to_o the_o lord_n yet_o thou_o may_v pray_v and_o cry_v with_o the_o cry_n of_o the_o spirit_n the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n stir_v up_o sigh_n and_o groan_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o his_o people_n which_o can_v be_v utter_v so_o when_o thou_o can_v not_o speak_v a_o word_n to_o the_o lord_n yet_o thou_o may_v cry_v job_n can_v noâ—_n speak_v yet_o his_o soul_n cry_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o eye_n cry_v to_o the_o lord_n job_n 16._o 20._o my_o friend_n scorn_v i_o but_o my_o eye_n pour_v out_o tear_n unto_o god_n when_o he_o know_v not_o how_o to_o speak_v a_o word_n his_o eye_n look_v to_o the_o lord_n if_o he_o can_v pour_v out_o his_o prayer_n his_o eye_n shall_v speak_v and_o his_o soul_n shall_v speak_v this_o may_v be_v a_o effectual_a prayer_n object_n ah_o but_o i_o be_o fill_v with_o the_o sense_n of_o my_o unworthiness_n i_o dare_v not_o go_v before_o the_o lord_n i_o dare_v not_o beg_v any_o mercy_n nor_o stand_v in_o his_o presence_n i_o be_o fill_v with_o the_o sense_n of_o my_o own_o unworthiness_n answ_n i_o tell_v thou_o though_o thou_o be_v fill_v with_o the_o sense_n of_o thy_o unworthiness_n yet_o thou_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o cry_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o pour_v out_o thy_o soul_n in_o supplication_n the_o publican_n that_o go_v up_o to_o the_o temple_n he_o dare_v not_o draw_v nigh_o he_o look_v upon_o himself_o as_o a_o unworthy_a sinner_n and_o yet_o pour_v out_o his_o prayer_n to_o the_o lord_n the_o sense_n of_o thy_o unworthiness_n shall_v not_o hinder_v thou_o in_o the_o pour_v out_o of_o thy_o prayer_n to_o the_o lord_n the_o more_o unvorthy_a the_o more_o need_n of_o go_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o the_o more_o sensible_a of_o thy_o unworthiness_n the_o soon_o the_o lord_n declare_v his_o acceptance_n oh_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v make_v we_o all_o mindful_a of_o this_o our_o duty_n we_o be_v apt_a to_o cry_v with_o the_o cry_n of_o the_o flesh_n but_o o_o that_o in_o the_o day_n of_o our_o distress_n we_o do_v cry_v with_o the_o cry_n of_o the_o spirit_n let_v the_o cry_n that_o spring_v from_o pride_n impatiency_n and_o unbelief_n be_v silent_a lay_v low_o and_o let_v it_o not_o open_v its_o mouth_n but_o cry_v with_o the_o cry_n of_o faith_n with_o the_o cry_n of_o the_o spirit_n this_o will_v be_v a_o good_a evidence_n that_o affliction_n have_v wrought_v the_o right_a way_n and_o that_o the_o lord_n have_v do_v we_o good_a by_o our_o affliction_n till_o the_o flesh_n be_v silent_a and_o the_o spirit_n raise_v up_o to_o cry_v in_o faith_n we_o shall_v never_o have_v any_o evidence_n that_o we_o have_v receive_v benefit_n by_o our_o affliction_n but_o when_o the_o soul_n shall_v be_v in_o affliction_n and_o the_o spirit_n up_o and_o cry_v it_o will_v be_v a_o good_a evidence_n that_o the_o soul_n have_v receive_v good_a by_o the_o affliction_n and_o to_o say_v no_o more_o the_o lord_n will_v soon_o draw_v nigh_o to_o that_o soul_n that_o shall_v thus_o be_v find_v wait_v for_o he_o when_o the_o flesh_n shall_v be_v silent_a and_o the_o spirit_n cry_v the_o lord_n will_v soon_o hear_v that_o cry_n you_o know_v the_o lord_n be_v a_o tender_a heart_a father_n and_o he_o will_v not_o suffer_v any_o of_o his_o child_n to_o be_v tempt_v above_o what_o they_o be_v able_a to_o bear_v he_o will_v not_o suffer_v they_o to_o sink_v under_o their_o burden_n but_o will_v come_v in_o with_o deliver_v mercy_n for_o the_o lord_n do_v sometime_o hear_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o flesh_n so_o he_o have_v hear_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o flesh_n though_o not_o the_o sinful_a cry_n yet_o the_o cry_n of_o nature_n the_o lord_n have_v hear_v that_o cry_n he_o hear_v the_o cry_n of_o ishamel_n when_o as_o he_o be_v ready_a to_o perish_v for_o thirst_n the_o lad_n cry_v and_o he_o hear_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o lad_n and_o the_o lord_n open_v the_o eye_n of_o hagar_n and_o she_o see_v a_o well_o of_o water_n he_o hear_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o flesh_n so_o gracious_a be_v the_o lord_n yea_o he_o hear_v she_o cry_v of_o the_o young_a raven_n of_o the_o young_a lion_n and_o the_o lord_n he_o open_v his_o hand_n and_o satisfy_v they_o o_o that_o this_o may_v be_v a_o encouragement_n to_o go_v to_o god_n in_o all_o time_n of_o distress_n let_v it_o be_v never_o so_o great_a the_o lord_n be_v a_o god_n of_o compassion_n and_o if_o he_o do_v hear_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o unreasonable_a creature_n and_o the_o cry_n of_o the_o flesh_n o_o sure_o the_o lord_n will_v much_o more_o hear_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o spirit_n when_o his_o people_n come_v and_o apply_v themselves_o to_o he_o through_o christ_n such_o as_o hope_v in_o his_o mercy_n and_o be_v find_v waâ—ting_v for_o his_o salvation_n sure_o the_o lord_n he_o will_v find_v out_o the_o best_a time_n in_o which_o he_o will_v come_v in_o with_o deliverance_n to_o his_o servant_n matth._n 15._o 22._o discourage_v but_o look_n beyond_o both_o and_o she_o close_v 〈◊〉_d mercy_n and_o free_a grace_n thou_o son_n of_o david_n 〈◊〉_d mercy_n on_o i_o she_o come_v to_o the_o son_n of_o david_n 〈◊〉_d know_v david_n be_v a_o merciful_a prince_n and_o king_n 〈◊〉_d show_v mercy_n to_o his_o very_a enemy_n david_n spare_v the_o life_n of_o saul_n when_o he_o have_v he_o at_o a_o great_a
riches_n of_o his_o mercy_n when_o he_o send_v to_o invite_v man_n to_o come_v in_o to_o he_o he_o send_v to_o the_o high_a way_n and_o hedge_n go_v and_o compel_v they_o to_o come_v in_o go_v and_o call_v the_o blind_a and_o the_o lame_a when_o christ_n make_v a_o feast_n he_o send_v to_o the_o poor_a he_o know_n that_o the_o poor_a hungry_a soul_n when_o they_o shall_v taste_v of_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o grace_n they_o will_v be_v thankful_a and_o they_o will_v advance_v mercy_n and_o free_a grace_n and_o therefore_o he_o send_v to_o the_o highway_n and_o hedge_n to_o compel_v they_o to_o come_v in_o thus_o you_o have_v see_v both_o the_o part_n of_o the_o doctrine_n open_v a_o word_n or_o two_o for_o improvement_n and_o i_o shut_v up_o all_o first_o let_v we_o take_v heed_n brethren_n and_o friend_n that_o we_o be_v not_o find_v look_v to_o any_o worthiness_n of_o our_o own_o when_o we_o come_v to_o christ_n take_v heed_n that_o we_o be_v not_o find_v look_v to_o any_o righteousness_n of_o our_o own_o take_v heed_n we_o bring_v no_o price_n in_o our_o hand_n when_o we_o come_v for_o mercy_n that_o will_v spoil_v all_o o_o there_o be_v many_o a_o poor_a soul_n by_o this_o be_v keep_v from_o come_v to_o christ_n from_o close_v with_o christ_n from_o rest_v upon_o christ_n and_o so_o from_o salvation_n because_o it_o be_v a_o hard_a matter_n to_o bring_v they_o off_o from_o look_v to_o something_o of_o their_o own_o man_n will_v hardly_o be_v persuade_v that_o they_o do_v so_o but_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o very_a ordinary_a thing_n and_o thousand_o more_o do_v it_o then_o will_v be_v persuade_v they_o do_v it_o who_o do_v look_v upon_o something_o of_o their_o own_o and_o so_o be_v keep_v from_o christ_n whence_o be_v it_o else_o that_o man_n stand_v so_o much_o upon_o their_o own_o justification_n man_n stand_v to_o plead_v for_o themselves_o and_o justify_v themselves_o and_o quarrel_n with_o god_n in_o time_n of_o affliction_n and_o entertain_v hard_a thought_n of_o god_n it_o be_v because_o man_n have_v too_o good_a thought_n of_o themselves_o whence_o come_v it_o else_o that_o man_n be_v up_o and_o down_o in_o their_o spirit_n and_o comfort_v according_a to_o their_o act_n but_o from_o hence_o because_o man_n be_v prove_v to_o look_v to_o something_o of_o their_o own_o as_o a_o foundation_n of_o their_o acceptance_n with_o god_n whence_o be_v it_o else_o that_o man_n be_v keep_v from_o close_v with_o christ_n because_o of_o the_o sight_n of_o their_o unworthiness_n but_o from_o hence_o because_o man_n will_v have_v a_o price_n in_o their_o own_o hand_n to_o buy_v grace_n of_o he_o and_o mercy_n of_o he_o but_o it_o may_v be_v many_o a_o poor_a soul_n will_v say_v that_o he_o do_v not_o look_v to_o his_o worthiness_n god_n forbid_v that_o i_o shall_v do_v it_o say_v the_o soul_n ah_o but_o thy_o unworthiness_n do_v keep_v thou_o from_o christ_n and_o if_o so_o than_o thou_o suppose_v that_o some_o worthiness_n in_o thou_o shall_v make_v thou_o close_o with_o christ_n now_o i_o beseech_v you_o brethren_n that_o we_o do_v not_o look_v to_o any_o thing_n in_o ourselves_o think_v not_o to_o bring_v any_o price_n with_o you_o when_o you_o come_v to_o christ_n but_o know_v that_o we_o be_v poor_a and_o naked_a and_o miserable_a sinful_a and_o weak_a and_o full_a of_o enmity_n against_o god_n and_o christ_n that_o there_o be_v nothing_o that_o we_o can_v plead_v what_o be_v there_o that_o we_o will_v carry_v if_o you_o have_v more_o grace_n you_o can_v not_o plead_v that_o if_o you_o have_v do_v more_o service_n you_o can_v not_o plead_v that_o and_o if_o you_o have_v suffer_v for_o christ_n you_o can_v not_o plead_v that_o o_o then_o why_o do_v our_o soul_n flag_n and_o hang_v back_o and_o do_v not_o make_v haste_n to_o jesus_n christ_n and_o let_v i_o tell_v you_o that_o soul_n that_o have_v nothing_o have_v best_a acceptance_n i_o say_v before_o that_o if_o you_o carry_v a_o price_n christ_n shall_v have_v best_a acceptance_n if_o a_o man_n come_v and_o plead_v any_o thing_n else_o plead_v lord_n i_o have_v do_v so_o and_o so_o i_o have_v be_v so_o and_o so_o this_o move_v not_o the_o lord_n to_o tell_v god_n of_o your_o righteousness_n and_o what_o you_o have_v do_v it_o move_v not_o god_n at_o all_o but_o to_o tell_v god_n what_o a_o poor_a creature_n you_o be_v full_a of_o sin_n and_o full_a of_o weakness_n full_a of_o enmity_n and_o full_a of_o want_n this_o will_v move_v the_o lord_n be_v it_o not_o so_o with_o yourselves_o i_o pray_v consider_v how_o it_o be_v with_o ourselves_o and_o what_o it_o be_v that_o move_v we_o when_o a_o poor_a man_n come_v what_o be_v it_o that_o move_v we_o o_o when_o he_o shall_v spread_v his_o want_n and_o express_v the_o sense_n of_o his_o want_n and_o misery_n a_o poor_a man_n come_v to_o you_o and_o say_v o_o sir_n pity_v i_o help_v i_o i_o want_v every_o thing_n i_o have_v not_o a_o rag_n to_o put_v on_o my_o back_n no_o bread_n to_o put_v into_o my_o belly_n i_o be_o blind_a i_o be_o lame_a i_o have_v no_o leg_n to_o walk_v with_o no_o hand_n to_o work_v with_o o_o this_o will_v make_v impression_n upon_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n though_o hard_a and_o shall_v not_o this_o move_v tbe_n father_n of_o mercy_n o_o it_o will_v prevail_v much_o if_o a_o soul_n shall_v go_v and_o say_v lord_n i_o be_o miserable_a naked_a no_o eye_n to_o see_v no_o leg_n to_o walk_v no_o hand_n to_o work_v o_o this_o speak_v loud_a when_o the_o soul_n shall_v cry_v lord_n help_n lord_n hear_v i_o i_o tell_v you_o this_o will_v plead_v very_o loud_o in_o the_o ear_n of_o god_n for_o christ_n as_o i_o say_v before_o he_o will_v deal_v with_o none_o but_o the_o poor_a he_o will_v heal_v they_o that_o have_v nothing_o you_o have_v many_o physician_n that_o go_v up_o and_o down_o and_o give_v it_o out_o that_o they_o will_v heal_v the_o poor_a for_o nothing_o so_o christ_n give_v it_o our_o in_o the_o gospel_n that_o he_o will_v heal_v the_o poor_a and_o none_o but_o the_o poor_a let_v a_o poor_a desolate_a naked_a empty_a soul_n go_v to_o christ_n and_o say_v lord_n thou_o have_v invite_v poor_a sinner_n to_o come_v that_o have_v no_o money_n and_o i_o be_o such_o a_o one_o lord_n heal_v i_o christ_n will_v heal_v such_o a_o soul_n christ_n will_v not_o heal_v the_o rich_a if_o they_o be_v rich_a and_o full_o they_o have_v no_o need_n of_o he_o the_o rich_a he_o will_v send_v away_o empty_a but_o the_o poor_a shall_v not_o go_v away_o empty_a o_o then_o that_o this_o may_v persuade_v we_o that_o when_o we_o go_v to_o god_n we_o may_v go_v poor_a in_o the_o sense_n of_o our_o own_o unworthiness_n for_o it_o be_v the_o best_a thing_n to_o move_v the_o lord_n to_o mercy_n last_o let_v we_o make_v mercy_n our_o refuge_n for_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o a_o man_n to_o run_v from_o himself_o if_o he_o do_v not_o run_v to_o mercy_n if_o he_o do_v not_o run_v to_o free_a grace_n if_o he_o go_v any_o where_o else_o there_o be_v no_o heal_n now_o therefore_o it_o call_v upon_o we_o all_o every_o one_o in_o the_o congregation_n this_o day_n to_o make_v mercy_n and_o free_a grace_n our_o refuge_n o_o that_o we_o may_v go_v to_o god_n upon_o that_o account_n at_o this_o woman_n of_o canaan_n do_v have_v mercy_n on_o i_o o_o lord_n thou_o son_n of_o david_n she_o come_v to_o mercy_n and_o plead_v mercy_n and_o rest_v upon_o mercy_n and_o free_a grace_n oh_o that_o we_o may_v make_v more_o use_n of_o mercy_n and_o free_a grace_n for_o all_o thing_n let_v we_o come_v hither_o for_o pardon_n of_o sin_n do_v you_o want_v pardon_n of_o sin_n plead_v with_o mercy_n and_o free_a grace_n flee_v to_o the_o promise_n of_o mercy_n i_o will_v be_v merciful_a to_o their_o sin_n and_o remember_v their_o sin_n no_o more_o and_o so_o will_v you_o have_v peace_n go_v more_o to_o free_a grace_n plead_v more_o with_o mercy_n there_o peace_n be_v to_o be_v have_v it_o be_v mercy_n that_o create_v the_o fruit_n of_o the_o lip_n peace_n peace_n and_o so_o do_v you_o want_v heal_n heal_a of_o your_o corruption_n of_o your_o distemper_n of_o spirit_n what_o be_v it_o that_o you_o want_v to_o free_a grace_n it_o be_v to_o be_v have_v in_o mercy_n there_o be_v heal_n for_o you_o i_o will_v heal_v their_o backslide_n and_o love_v they_o free_o oh_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v help_v we_o have_v which_o it_o place_v in_o god_n alone_o when_o the_o soul_n be_v act_v of_o faith_n in_o the_o lord_n the_o lord_n be_v my_o portion_n my_o soul_n have_v say_v it_o and_o therefore_o i_o will_v hope_v in_o he_o i_o will_v look_v towards_o he_o i_o will_v rest_v upon_o his_o arm_n doubtless_o thou_o be_v our_o father_n though_o all_o this_o have_v befall_v we_o doubtless_o god_n intention_n be_v gracious_a it_o be_v for_o my_o good_a that_o he_o do_v thus_o afflict_v i_o doubtless_o the_o lord_n can_v and_o will_v make_v a_o good_a end_n of_o these_o affliction_n for_o that_o be_v his_o above_o hope_n and_o against_o hope_n as_o abraham_n the_o father_n of_o the_o faithful_a do_v this_o be_v inward_a worship_n four_o it_o consist_v in_o the_o submission_n of_o the_o soul_n to_o god_n that_o inward_a worship_n that_o god_n do_v require_v of_o his_o people_n in_o time_n of_o affliction_n or_o temptation_n i_o say_v it_o consist_v in_o the_o submission_n of_o the_o spirit_n unto_o god_n when_o a_o man_n desire_v to_o make_v a_o resignation_n of_o his_o will_n unto_o god_n if_o this_o cup_n may_v not_o pass_v from_o i_o thy_o will_n be_v do_v when_o a_o soul_n be_v content_a to_o be_v at_o the_o dispose_n of_o god_n for_o the_o kind_n of_o affliction_n and_o measure_n of_o affliction_n and_o the_o time_n of_o affliction_n well_o if_o god_n increase_v my_o burden_n let_v he_o increase_v my_o strength_n and_o my_o soul_n shall_v glory_v in_o he_o if_o the_o lord_n will_v continue_v my_o affliction_n long_o and_o i_o must_v drink_v of_o this_o cup_n again_o and_o again_o yea_o the_o three_o time_n if_o the_o lord_n will_v afford_v his_o presence_n in_o affliction_n my_o soul_n desire_v to_o submit_v to_o the_o lord_n when_o thus_o the_o heart_n be_v affect_v towards_o god_n submit_v fall_v down_o before_o the_o lord_n and_o make_v a_o resignation_n of_o his_o will_n to_o the_o lord_n will._n this_o be_v that_o special_a worship_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o internal_a worship_n that_o the_o father_n of_o spirit_n call_v for_o from_o his_o child_n in_o time_n of_o affliction_n but_o second_o consist_v this_o worship_n must_v be_v external_n as_o well_o as_o internal_a and_o it_o consist_v in_o the_o give_a honour_n to_o god_n in_o those_o way_n that_o be_v of_o his_o own_o appointment_n especial_o in_o these_o two_o first_o in_o the_o pour_v out_o of_o the_o soul_n in_o supplication_n before_o the_o lord_n second_o in_o speak_v good_a word_n of_o god_n these_o be_v two_o great_a part_n of_o that_o external_a worship_n that_o god_n call_v his_o child_n to_o in_o time_n of_o affliction_n to_o speak_v gracious_a word_n unto_o god_n and_o to_o speak_v good_a word_n of_o god_n to_o his_o praise_n and_o honour_n first_o it_o be_v the_o pour_v out_o the_o supplication_n of_o the_o soul_n before_o the_o lord_n in_o prayer_n it_o be_v a_o special_a exercise_n that_o god_n call_v his_o people_n to_o in_o time_n of_o affliction_n and_o temptation_n to_o be_v much_o in_o supplication_n pour_v out_o their_o soul_n before_o the_o lord_n now_o this_o supplication_n this_o prayer_n which_o the_o lord_n do_v require_v and_o do_v delight_n require_v second_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o this_o woman_n prayer_n be_v accompany_v with_o fervency_n her_o very_a expression_n do_v hold_v forth_o and_o declare_v the_o ardency_n of_o her_o spirit_n she_o cry_v before_o o_o lord_n thou_o son_n of_o david_n have_v mercy_n on_o i_o and_o now_o again_o she_o break_v forth_o into_o this_o expression_n lord_n help_v why_o it_o be_v such_o a_o prayer_n that_o god_n take_v delight_n
in_o such_o a_o supplication_n as_o be_v send_v up_o with_o a_o holy_a fervency_n unto_o god_n and_o indeed_o the_o lord_n bring_v his_o people_n into_o the_o furnace_n of_o affliction_n and_o temptation_n that_o so_o he_o may_v kindle_v this_o holy_a fire_n of_o zeal_n and_o fervency_n in_o their_o bosom_n the_o lord_n do_v raise_v the_o storm_n that_o so_o he_o may_v make_v the_o disciple_n to_o cry_v the_o loud_o now_o therefore_o when_o the_o spirit_n be_v thus_o carry_v out_o to_o god_n this_o be_v such_o worship_n as_o he_o require_v and_o expect_v again_o three_o we_o shall_v find_v that_o this_o woman_n supplication_n it_o be_v accompany_v with_o faith_n fervency_n without_o faith_n can_v not_o avail_v but_o there_o be_v a_o expression_n of_o her_o faith_n that_o title_n which_o she_o give_v to_o christ_n lord_n lord_n help_v she_o look_v upon_o he_o as_o the_o lord_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n so_o she_o apply_v herself_o to_o he_o in_o her_o distress_n infinite_a 〈◊〉_d power_n he_o be_v the_o lord_n and_o have_v infinite_a power_n he_o be_v able_a to_o help_v so_o she_o rest_v upon_o his_o all_o sufficiency_n sure_o he_o that_o be_v the_o lord_n the_o lord_n of_o all_o he_o have_v power_n enough_o in_o his_o hand_n and_o grace_n enough_o in_o his_o heart_n he_o can_v do_v what_o he_o please_v why_o such_o a_o prayer_n the_o lord_n accept_v of_o as_o be_v accompany_v with_o faith_n the_o promise_n be_v make_v to_o faith_n whatever_o you_o ask_v in_o my_o name_n believe_v you_o shall_v receive_v and_o the_o prayer_n of_o faith_n shall_v save_v the_o sick_a the_o prayer_n of_o faith_n can_v do_v great_a thing_n four_o this_o woman_n prayer_n be_v accompany_v with_o constancy_n she_o hold_v on_o notwithstanding_o the_o discouragement_n she_o meet_v withal_o they_o be_v very_o many_o and_o great_a the_o lord_n as_o you_o hear_v before_o be_v silent_a to_o her_o a_o long_a time_n when_o he_o speak_v he_o speak_v a_o sad_a word_n that_o he_o be_v not_o send_v to_o such_o as_o she_o be_v yet_o she_o hold_v on_o this_o discouragement_n may_v have_v beat_v she_o off_o and_o make_v she_o to_o have_v say_v well_o i_o see_v that_o upon_o the_o lord_n and_o keep_v his_o way_n and_o let_v no_o discovery_n of_o unworthiness_n beat_v we_o off_o from_o wait_v upon_o the_o lord_n and_o keep_v his_o way_n this_o woman_n hold_v on_o her_o way_n hold_v on_o to_o wait_v notwithstanding_o all_o her_o unworthiness_n she_o believe_v and_o wait_v pray_v and_o wait_v and_o her_o expectation_n they_o be_v from_o the_o lord_n and_o so_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o sense_n of_o our_o unworthiness_n let_v we_o do_v as_o she_o do_v acknowledge_v god_n notwithstanding_o be_v act_v faith_n in_o christ_n in_o the_o lord_n be_v free_a
