and_o the_o same_o thing_n in_o variety_n of_o word_n that_o our_o feebleness_n may_v the_o better_o understand_v what_o he_o mean_v and_o hence_o in_o scripture_n believe_v come_v receive_v christ_n roll_v trust_v cleave_v to_o the_o lord_n etc._n etc._n set_v out_o one_o and_o the_o same_o thing_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v no_o wonder_n if_o our_o divine_n have_v different_a description_n of_o faith_n in_o variety_n of_o word_n which_o if_o well_o consider_v dâ—e_v but_o set_v out_o one_o and_o the_o same_o thing_n and_o i_o do_v conceive_v they_o do_v all_o agree_v in_o this_o description_n i_o have_v now_o mention_v i_o know_v there_o be_v some_o who_o tread_v awry_o here_o who_o i_o shall_v brief_o note_v out_o and_o so_o pass_v on_o to_o what_o we_o intend_v 1._o the_o papist_n with_o some_o other_o of_o corrupt_a judgement_n at_o least_o of_o weak_a apprehension_n among_o ourselves_o describe_v faith_n to_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o supernatural_a assent_n faith_n for_o we_o must_v believe_v christ_n before_o we_o can_v believe_v in_o he_o but_o this_o comprehend_v not_o the_o whole_a nature_n of_o faith_n i_o mean_v of_o that_o faith_n we_o be_v now_o because_o this_o be_v the_o main_a and_o principal_a thing_n in_o question_n then_o and_o if_o the_o lord_n have_v not_o set_v out_o faith_n by_o other_o act_n in_o scripture_n we_o shall_v not_o vary_v from_o our_o compass_n in_o such_o expression_n in_o the_o word_n in_o these_o day_n for_o their_o faith_n then_o be_v exemplary_a to_o we_o now_o but_o because_o the_o word_n do_v more_o full_o set_v it_o out_o in_o more_o special_a act_n hence_o we_o set_v it_o out_o also_o by_o they_o for_o it_o be_v evident_a as_o the_o jew_n do_v believe_v in_o a_o messiah_n to_o come_v so_o which_o though_o thousand_o live_v under_o the_o gospel_n of_o peace_n hear_v of_o yet_o they_o regard_v not_o they_o can_v strain_v their_o conscience_n in_o a_o restless_a pursuit_n of_o the_o favour_n of_o man_n and_o in_o seek_v worldly_a yet_o peace_n to_o this_o day_n though_o bear_v enemy_n to_o god_n never_o spend_v one_o day_n it_o may_v be_v not_o one_o hour_n in_o mourn_v after_o the_o lord_n for_o favour_n from_o he_o nor_o care_v not_o for_o it_o unless_o it_o be_v upon_o their_o own_o term_n viz._n that_o god_n will_v be_v at_o peace_n with_o they_o but_o they_o may_v still_o remain_v quiet_o in_o their_o sin_n and_o war_n against_o god_n and_o thence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o lord_n will_v short_o take_v away_o peace_n from_o the_o whole_a earth_n and_o plague_v the_o world_n with_o war_n and_o bloodshed_n and_o as_o it_o be_v in_o zach._n 11.6_o deliver_v every_o man_n into_o the_o hand_n of_o his_o neighbour_n and_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o his_o king_n
