thing_n first_o that_o whatsoever_o grace_n we_o have_v we_o receive_v it_o second_o that_o grace_n we_o have_v receive_v be_v not_o full_a but_o in_o part_n for_o we_o have_v only_o receive_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o three_o that_o the_o first_o fruit_n which_o we_o have_v be_v sufficient_a pledge_n to_o we_o of_o the_o plenitude_n and_o fullness_n which_o afterward_o we_o shall_v receive_v the_o first_o of_o these_o learn_v we_o humility_n prayer_n what_o have_v thou_o o_o man_n which_o thou_o have_v not_o receive_v the_o lord_n dispense_v grace_n to_o every_o one_o according_a to_o his_o pleasure_n and_o we_o be_v but_o vessel_n fill_v and_o empty_v as_o he_o will_n second_o it_o learn_v we_o thankfulness_n whatsoever_o grace_n we_o have_v receive_v we_o shall_v return_v both_o the_o praise_n and_o the_o use_n of_o it_o to_o he_o who_o give_v it_o as_o the_o water_n by_o secret_a conduit_n come_v from_o the_o sea_n return_v again_o open_o into_o it_o through_o the_o troughe_n so_o that_o all_o man_n may_v see_v the_o return_v albeit_o they_o see_v not_o the_o come_n so_o that_o grace_n which_o the_o lord_n by_o his_o spirit_n secret_o convey_v to_o the_o godly_a do_v again_o public_o return_v unto_o he_o by_o praise_n and_o well_o do_v and_o three_o it_o do_v teach_v we_o diligence_n in_o prayer_n if_o we_o desire_v increase_v of_o grace_n we_o shall_v seek_v it_o from_o he_o of_o who_o we_o have_v the_o beginning_n and_o use_v all_o the_o mean_n such_o as_o hear_n read_v pray_v keep_v of_o a_o good_a conscience_n by_o which_o grace_n may_v grow_v and_o be_v entertain_v in_o us._n the_o next_o thing_n we_o observe_v be_v now_o that_o in_o this_o life_n we_o receive_v not_o the_o plenitude_n and_o fullness_n of_o grace_n but_o only_o the_o first_o fruit_n thereof_o the_o use_n of_o this_o be_v first_o to_o comfort_v the_o child_n of_o god_n who_o be_v oftentimes_o discourage_v with_o the_o sense_n and_o feel_n of_o their_o own_o want_n it_o be_v one_o of_o satan_n stratagem_n to_o try_v those_o by_o the_o rule_n of_o perfection_n who_o be_v yet_o but_o in_o the_o state_n of_o proficient_o beginning_n and_o we_o have_v need_v to_o beware_v of_o it_o shall_v i_o give_v that_o vantage_n
to_o the_o adversary_n as_o to_o think_v i_o have_v no_o faith_n because_o it_o be_v weak_a or_o i_o have_v no_o love_n because_o it_o be_v little_a or_o no_o sanctification_n because_o it_o be_v they_o it_o be_v a_o common_a thing_n to_o they_o to_o excuse_v the_o want_n of_o all_o grace_n o_o it_o be_v but_o a_o small_a grace_n which_o in_o this_o life_n be_v communicate_v to_o the_o best_a and_o they_o think_v their_o sin_n be_v well_o enough_o cover_v by_o this_o that_o all_o man_n be_v sinner_n as_o if_o there_o be_v no_o difference_n between_o sin_n tyrannize_v in_o the_o wicked_a and_o captive_v in_o the_o the_o godly_a or_o as_o if_o beginning_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o regenerate_a do_v not_o separate_v they_o in_o regard_n of_o conversation_n from_o the_o unregenerate_a who_o be_v void_a of_o all_o grace_n let_v they_o therefore_o know_v that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n who_o the_o godly_a receive_v be_v not_o only_o call_v the_o first_o fruit_n the_o earnest_n and_o the_o witness_n of_o god_n but_o also_o the_o seal_n and_o signet_n of_o the_o live_a god_n as_o a_o seal_n leave_v in_o the_o wax_n that_o similitude_n and_o impression_n of_o the_o form_n which_o you_o call_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o three_o earnest_n out_o of_o this_o description_n we_o may_v gather_v that_o albeit_o we_o have_v no_o more_o but_o the_o first_o fruit_n cause_v they_o to_o sigh_v unto_o god_n for_o deliverance_n and_o he_o say_v they_o sigh_v within_o themselves_o to_o teach_v we_o that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o hypocritical_a and_o counterfeit_a but_o without_o for_o sometime_o the_o grief_n of_o hart_n be_v so_o abundant_a in_o the_o godly_a that_o not_o only_o it_o break_v out_o in_o sigh_v and_o mourn_v but_o in_o strong_a cry_n to_o god_n also_o but_o to_o restrain_v the_o hypocrisy_n of_o other_o who_o make_v a_o fair_a show_n of_o that_o in_o the_o flesh_n which_o be_v not_o in_o the_o spirit_n true_a religion_n strive_v rather_o to_o be_v approve_v of_o god_n than_o see_v of_o man_n one_o sigh_n proceed_v from_o the_o heart_n be_v a_o loud_o cry_v in_o the_o ear_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o host_n and_o more_o forcible_a to_o move_v he_o than_o the_o noise_n of_o all_o the_o shoot_a priest_n of_o baal_n when_o they_o be_v gather_v together_o into_o one_o we_o be_v therefore_o more_o deep_o to_o consider_v this_o comfort_n that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n first_o teach_v we_o to_o sigh_o and_o mourn_v for_o our_o present_a misery_n before_o he_o comfort_v we_o with_o a_o constant_a hope_n of_o deliverance_n if_o now_o we_o mourn_v not_o we_o shall_v not_o rejoice_v hereafter_o it_o be_v only_a mourner_n who_o god_n have_v mark_v in_o the_o forehead_n to_o save_v from_o the_o wrath_n to_o come_v such_o a_o
