heal_v us._n now_o if_o thou_o be_v weak_a and_o oppress_v with_o faintness_n feel_v great_a affliction_n hereby_o thou_o have_v get_v a_o great_a occasion_n to_o go_v unto_o he_o &_o to_o say_v on_o this_o manner_n most_o sweet_a christ_n i_o therefore_o come_v unto_o thou_o because_o i_o be_o a_o sinner_n that_o thou_o may_v help_v and_o justify_v i_o yea_o very_a necessity_n do_v compel_v sometime_o but_o also_o run_v into_o so_o great_a tentation_n that_o he_o break_v some_o part_n of_o they_z which_o fall_v so_o grievous_o that_o they_o even_o deny_v the_o gospel_n must_v not_o be_v utter_o despeir_v of_o and_o so_o be_v bring_v to_o that_o pass_n that_o he_o fall_v and_o deni_v the_o gospel_n after_o the_o manner_n of_o peter_n who_o do_v forswear_v christ_n now_o if_o any_o shall_v so_o stumble_v that_o he_o shall_v be_v compel_v to_o go_v back_o &_o be_v utter_o cast_v down_o in_o mind_n nevertheless_o we_o must_v not_o as_o yet_o cast_v he_o of_o as_o though_o he_o do_v never_o any_o more_o pertain_v to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n for_o we_o must_v leave_v christ_n property_n to_o himself_o that_o his_o kingdom_n may_v remain_v unto_o himself_o mere_a he_o and_o all_o this_o be_v do_v by_o the_o gospel_n whereby_o the_o weak_a be_v to_o be_v strengthen_v the_o sick_a to_o be_v heal_v for_o it_o be_v such_o a_o word_n as_o be_v fit_a for_o all_o distress_n of_o conscience_n give_v abundant_a comfort_n to_o all_o that_o none_o dispeire_n although_o he_o be_v a_o great_a sinner_n christ_n therefore_o alone_o be_v that_o good_a shepeheard_n which_o heal_v all_o sort_n of_o disease_n and_o help_v they_o that_o be_v fall_v which_o he_o that_o do_v not_o be_v not_o a_o shepeheard_n the_o prophet_n thus_o go_v forward_o that_o which_o be_v they_o christ_n therefore_o be_v so_o to_o be_v preach_v that_o he_o reject_v no_o man_n although_o he_o be_v weak_a but_o that_o he_o willing_o receive_v comfort_v and_o strengthen_v every_o man_n wont_a to_o be_v commit_v in_o chamber_n of_o full_a feed_v well_o tipple_v idle_a and_o slothful_a belly_n as_o well_o in_o the_o day_n as_o in_o the_o night_n as_o well_o when_o they_o be_v alone_o as_o in_o the_o resort_n and_o company_n of_o other_o all_o which_o thing_n do_v require_v even_o natural_a darkness_n and_o secret_a place_n and_o be_v signify_v of_o paul_n by_o chamber_v and_o wantonness_n but_o put_v you_o on_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n in_o these_o word_n as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o sum_n he_o show_v all_o the_o armour_n of_o light_n when_o as_o he_o exhort_v we_o to_o which_o it_o can_v not_o be_v that_o one_o shall_v right_o understand_v paul_n who_o every_o where_o intreat_v of_o faith_n with_o such_o force_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o he_o be_v able_a i_o must_v therefore_o speak_v somewhat_o that_o this_o text_n may_v be_v make_v plain_a and_o that_o i_o may_v more_o convenient_o bring_v light_n unto_o it_o in_o expound_v it_o i_o will_v speak_v a_o few_o man_n and_o not_o of_o work_n for_o man_n be_v either_o justify_v and_o save_v or_o judge_v and_o condemn_v and_o not_o work_n neither_o be_v it_o in_o controversy_n among_o the_o godly_a that_o man_n be_v justify_v by_o no_o work_n but_o righteousness_n must_v come_v unto_o he_o from_o some_o other_o where_o then_o from_o his_o own_o work_n for_o moses_n write_v of_o abel_n after_o this_o sort_n the_o lord_n have_v respect_n unto_o abel_n and_o to_o his_o oblation_n work_n god_n first_o regard_v the_o man_n and_o they_o the_o work_n first_o he_o have_v respect_n to_o abel_n himself_o then_o to_o his_o oblation_n because_o that_o abel_n be_v first_o count_v righteous_a entire_a and_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n and_o then_o for_o his_o sake_n his_o oblation_n also_o be_v allow_v and_o not_o he_o because_o of_o his_o oblation_n again_o god_n have_v no_o respect_n to_o cain_n and_o therefore_o neither_o to_o his_o oblation_n where_o again_o thou_o see_v that_o regard_n be_v have_v first_o of_o the_o worker_n they_o of_o the_o work_n of_o this_o place_n it_o be_v very_o plain_o gather_v that_o no_o work_n can_v be_v allow_v of_o god_n whereas_o he_o which_o work_v that_o work_n be_v not_o first_o acceptable_a to_o he_o and_o again_o that_o no_o work_n be_v disalow_v of_o he_o unless_o the_o author_n thereof_o be_v disallow_v before_o i_o think_v that_o these_o thing_n will_v be_v sufficient_a concern_v this_o matter_n in_o this_o place_n of_o which_o it_o be_v easy_a to_o understand_v that_o there_o be_v two_o sort_n of_o work_n some_o go_v before_o justification_n and_o some_o follow_v it_o and_o that_o these_o last_o be_v good_a work_n in_o deed_n but_o that_o those_o other_o do_v only_o appear_v to_o be_v good_a hereof_o come_v such_o disagreement_n between_o god_n and_o those_o counterfect_a holy_a one_o for_o this_o cause_n nature_n and_o reason_n rise_v and_o rage_n against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n this_o be_v that_o whereof_o almost_o all_o the_o whole_a that_o be_v his_o heart_n corrupt_v and_o if_o he_o do_v many_o work_n which_o in_o outward_a show_n seem_v good_a justify_v god_n have_v regard_n first_o to_o the_o worker_n then_o to_o the_o work_n work_n which_o they_o attribute_v not_o to_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n they_o affirm_v that_o they_o do_v save_v we_o and_o not_o this_o they_o trust_v to_o work_n they_o can_v not_o trust_v to_o god_n grace_n which_o blindness_n worthy_o come_v unto_o they_o inasmuch_o as_o they_o will_v not_o build_v upon_o the_o rock_n let_v they_o build_v upon_o the_o sand_n &_o so_o be_v drown_v by_o their_o in_o spirit_n that_o he_o ought_v to_o bestow_v some_o of_o his_o plenty_n upon_o other_o he_o make_v he_o a_o fisher_n both_o in_o body_n and_o in_o spirit_n in_o body_n for_o that_o he_o take_v many_o fish_n which_o he_o may_v sell_v but_o in_o spirit_n he_o be_v a_o fisher_n of_o man_n for_o he_o have_v the_o gospel_n whereby_o other_o man_n must_v be_v bring_v to_o god_n by_o he_o and_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n be_v increase_v loe_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o where_o man_n believe_v the_o lord_n give_v so_o much_o as_o succour_v and_o help_v all_o man_n the_o faithful_a man_n outward_o help_v the_o needy_a with_o his_o substance_n and_o good_n and_o from_o within_o he_o break_v forth_o teach_v other_o and_o enrich_v they_o also_o inward_o for_o such_o a_o man_n can_v not_o hold_v his_o peace_n but_o be_v enforce_v to_o show_v and_o declare_v to_o other_o how_o he_o be_v deal_v with_o as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o 51._o psal_n make_v i_o a_o clean_a heart_n o_o god_n all_o our_o own_o thing_n be_v nothing_o that_o our_o own_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n be_v of_o no_o importance_n that_o all_o thing_n which_o be_v in_o we_o be_v damn_v that_o we_o be_v the_o child_n of_o wrath_n and_o indignation_n this_o be_v very_o hard_a and_o a_o intolerable_a burden_n to_o the_o flesh_n and_o therefore_o he_o call_v it_o a_o burden_n or_o yoke_n but_o lest_o he_o shall_v terrify_v or_o make_v afraid_a any_o for_o that_o he_o be_v of_o great_a authority_n high_a and_o mighty_a and_o therefore_o can_v not_o suffer_v synneful_a and_o wretched_a man_n or_o for_o that_o he_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v tyrannical_a and_o ungentle_a he_o before_o cut_v of_o this_o suspicion_n say_v learn_v of_o i_o for_o i_o be_o meek_a and_o lowly_a in_o heart_n christ_n will_v here_o love_o allure_v we_o to_o his_o doctrine_n for_o he_o have_v speak_v before_o of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o father_n as_o if_o he_o will_v say_v flesh_n and_o a_o fearful_a nature_n compt_v i_o for_o a_o austere_a severe_a and_o rigorous_a man_n but_o i_o be_o not_o of_o such_o a_o nature_n yea_o i_o be_o humble_a and_o meek_a in_o heart_n meek_a christ_n humble_a &_o meek_a i_o do_v handle_v i_o have_v try_v what_o a_o fearful_a and_o a_o afflict_a conscience_n be_v as_o the_o epistle_n to_o the_o hebreve_n chapter_n 5._o witness_v that_o he_o be_v in_o all_o thing_n tempt_v in_o like_a sort_n except_o sin_n wherefore_o let_v no_o man_n be_v afraid_a of_o i_o i_o will_v handle_v all_o easy_o and_o gentle_o i_o will_v say_v nothing_o with_o a_o sour_a contenaunce_n i_o make_v no_o man_n afraid_a so_o as_o they_o come_v bold_o unto_o i_o they_o shall_v find_v rest_n to_o their_o soul_n with_o i_o to_o their_o soul_n he_o say_v affliction_n they_o that_o believe_v in_o trouble_n and_o calamity_n may_v overwhelm_v you_o but_o you_o ought_v to_o bear_v all_o these_o thing_n lighte_o as_o he_o also_o say_v to_o his_o disciple_n in_o the_o gospel_n of_o john_n in_o i_o you_o shall_v have_v peace_n but_o in_o the_o world_n you_o shall_v have_v affliction_n wherefore_o although_o outward_o all_o thing_n fall_v out_o against_o we_o as_o though_o they_o will_v suppress_v and_o devour_v we_o yet_o be_v they_o nothing_o to_o be_v esteem_v of_o for_o we_o have_v the_o feelinge_n of_o peace_n inward_o in_o our_o conscience_n and_o this_o be_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o faith_n as_o paul_n say_v rom._n 5_z therefore_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n we_o have_v peace_n towards_o god_n through_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n now_o when_o our_o conscience_n be_v quiet_v and_o we_o have_v peace_n with_o god_n nothing_o be_v able_a to_o move_v we_o no_o nothing_o shall_v hurt_v we_o albeit_o it_o be_v evell_a and_o against_o us._n let_v no_o man_n think_v we_o from_o the_o law_n for_o this_o that_o we_o may_v receive_v the_o adoption_n of_o the_o son_n both_o which_o come_v unto_o we_o by_o faith_n thus_o therefore_o we_o have_v those_o five_o thing_n whereof_o paul_n admonish_v we_o in_o this_o so_o plentiful_a and_o fruitful_a a_o place_n question_n a_o question_n but_o here_o rise_v a_o question_n forasmuch_o as_o to_o be_v under_o the_o law_n be_v to_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o law_n by_o compulsion_n and_o to_o obey_v the_o law_n no_o otherwise_o then_o unwilling_o so_o that_o none_o of_o they_o which_o be_v under_o the_o law_n be_v able_a to_o satisfy_v the_o law_n why_o paul_n say_v that_o christ_n be_v make_v under_o the_o law_n answer_n the_o answer_n i_o answer_v that_o the_o apostle_n make_v a_o very_a great_a difference_n between_o christ_n who_o be_v make_v under_o the_o law_n we_o great_a difference_n between_o christ_n be_v under_o the_o law_n &_o we_o and_o other_o man_n which_o be_v bear_v under_o the_o law_n for_o whereas_o he_o say_v that_o christ_n be_v make_v under_o the_o law_n he_o will_v signify_v that_o christ_n do_v put_v himself_o under_o the_o law_n of_o his_o own_o accord_n and_o be_v with_o his_o will_n make_v subject_a unto_o it_o of_o the_o father_n when_o as_o he_o may_v not_o have_v be_v under_o the_o law_n but_o we_o be_v under_o the_o law_n be_v the_o servant_n of_o the_o law_n by_o nature_n and_o bear_v the_o dominion_n thereof_o unwilling_o as_o christ_n be_v willing_o not_o by_o nature_n and_o against_o his_o will_n wherefore_o there_o be_v as_o great_a difference_n between_o nature_n it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o be_v make_v under_o the_o law_n &_o a_o other_o to_o be_v under_o the_o law_n by_o nature_n to_o be_v make_v under_o the_o law_n and_o to_o be_v under_o the_o law_n by_o nature_n as_o between_o these_o to_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o law_n of_o free_a will_n and_o to_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o law_n by_o servile_a constraint_n it_o be_v free_a unto_o christ_n to_o be_v under_o the_o law_n or_o not_o to_o be_v under_o it_o and_o he_o make_v himself_o subject_a to_o it_o of_o his_o own_o accord_n that_o he_o may_v most_o diligent_o do_v all_o thing_n that_o the_o law_n require_v but_o we_o be_v under_o the_o law_n even_o against_o our_o will_n thou_o may_v see_v a_o resemblance_n hereof_o in_o peter_n resemble_v we_o and_o christ_n be_v under_o the_o law_n and_o our_o deliveraunce_n from_o the_o same_o most_o excellent_o resemble_v and_o the_o angel_n which_o come_v into_o the_o prison_n to_o peter_n to_o deliver_v he_o both_o of_o be_v there_o only_o for_o peter_n sake_n and_o not_o for_o his_o own_o and_o free_o even_o at_o his_o own_o will_n who_o when_o peter_n hear_v and_o follow_v it_o be_v free_a for_o he_o also_o to_o go_v forth_o of_o the_o prison_n whereas_o before_o it_o be_v not_o this_o prison_n be_v the_o law_n peter_n be_v our_o conscience_n the_o angel_n be_v christ_n christ_n be_v absent_a our_o conscience_n be_v hold_v captive_a of_o the_o law_n and_o be_v unwilling_a of_o itself_o be_v move_v unto_o good_a thing_n by_o the_o threaten_n and_o promise_n thereof_o and_o be_v tie_v and_o bind_v unto_o honest_a thing_n with_o these_o as_o with_o two_o chain_n the_o keeper_n of_o this_o prison_n be_v the_o teacher_n of_o the_o law_n which_o declare_v the_o force_n of_o the_o law_n unto_o us._n so_o we_o be_v bind_v in_o the_o prison_n of_o the_o law_n christ_n come_v unto_o we_o and_o willing_o make_v himself_o subject_a to_o the_o law_n and_o do_v the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n of_o his_o own_o accord_n which_o we_o do_v bend_v ourselves_o to_o do_v against_o our_o will_n yea_o and_o do_v they_o for_o our_o sake_n that_o he_o may_v join_v we_o unto_o he_o and_o also_o bring_v we_o out_o together_o with_o himself_o for_o he_o may_v easy_o go_v forth_o who_o be_v hold_v in_o the_o prison_n by_o no_o necessity_n if_o now_o we_o cleave_v unto_o he_o and_o follow_v he_o we_o also_o do_v go_v forth_o but_o this_o cleave_v to_o he_o and_o follow_v he_o be_v nothing_o else_o then_o to_o believe_v in_o he_o and_o not_o to_o doubt_v that_o he_o become_v man_n and_o be_v make_v the_o law_n condemn_v to_o death_n and_o the_o eternal_a curse_n all_o those_o that_o continue_v not_o in_o all_o thing_n that_o be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n to_o do_v they_o as_o paul_n gal._n 3._o recite_v out_o of_o moses_n levit._n 18._o now_o it_o be_v declare_v at_o large_a before_o that_o the_o law_n be_v fulfil_v of_o no_o man_n but_o that_o all_o man_n be_v against_o their_o will_n hold_v captive_n of_o the_o law_n wherefore_o every_o one_o be_v subject_a to_o death_n and_o to_o the_o curse_n so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o man_n subject_n to_o the_o law_n in_o
