he_o have_v receive_v but_o in_o the_o mean_a while_n it_o be_v much_o that_o a_o hypocrite_n will_v do_v and_o so_o much_o that_o a_o poor_a christian_a will_v be_v put_v to_o much_o exercise_n to_o find_v a_o difference_n between_o himself_o and_o they_o jehu_n do_v not_o only_o think_v that_o he_o have_v zeal_n for_o the_o lord_n as_o he_o say_v come_v see_v my_o zeal_n for_o the_o lord_n of_o host_n but_o good_a jonadab_n likewise_o do_v so_o persuade_v himself_o and_o therefore_o do_v ready_o join_v with_o he_o in_o his_o reformation_n and_o when_o he_o proclaim_v a_o sacrifice_n for_o baal_n he_o think_v that_o jehu_n will_v do_v no_o harm_n to_o himself_o in_o the_o temple_n of_o baal_n thus_o therefore_o sometime_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v because_o a_o hypocrite_n may_v for_o a_o christ_n so_o we_o look_v for_o continual_a supply_n of_o it_o from_o he_o and_o this_o it_o be_v to_o make_v christ_n our_o sanctification_n when_o as_o whatsoever_o gift_n the_o lord_n give_v we_o we_o go_v not_o forth_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o it_o but_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o jesus_n christ_n there_o may_v be_v a_o change_n in_o the_o soul_n which_o may_v spring_v from_o a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n and_o may_v captivate_v our_o conscience_n unto_o the_o law_n that_o may_v restrain_v we_o from_o sin_n and_o constrain_v we_o unto_o duty_n but_o such_o holiness_n spring_v not_o from_o union_n with_o jesus_n christ_n for_o there_o may_v be_v a_o conscience_n of_o duty_n without_o sense_n of_o our_o need_n of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o it_o be_v with_o the_o israelite_n at_o not_o hold_v up_o their_o head_n for_o the_o lord_n in_o this_o case_n bruise_v they_o and_o lay_v they_o low_o that_o they_o see_v no_o more_o hope_n of_o mercy_n no_o likelihood_n that_o god_n shall_v show_v they_o any_o hope_n thus_o do_v the_o lord_n burn_v up_o the_o root_n of_o abraham_n covenant_n wherein_o man_n trust_v and_o the_o root_n of_o all_o our_o selfsufficiency_n that_o now_o we_o find_v ourselves_o dry_v up_o and_o our_o strength_n consume_v that_o now_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o think_v as_o of_o ourselves_o a_o good_a thought_n and_o again_o the_o lord_n by_o this_o spirit_n of_o burn_a do_v burn_v up_o all_o our_o branch_n also_o how_o fair_a and_o green_a soever_o they_o have_v be_v all_o our_o fasting_n and_o humiliation_n and_o alms-deed_n and_o prayer_n such_o thing_n as_o the_o pharisee_n much_o boast_a in_o mat._n 6.1_o 2_o 3._o etc._n etc._n but_o these_o thing_n be_v all_o burn_v up_o this_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n partly_o as_o it_o work_v a_o tremble_a and_o fear_n and_o partly_o as_o it_o work_v to_o the_o burn_a up_o of_o all_o the_o hope_n that_o we_o have_v in_o ourselves_o there_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n i_o confess_v that_o only_o work_v unto_o fear_n and_o now_o all_o the_o hope_n be_v that_o a_o man_n set_v upon_o reformation_n but_o if_o the_o lord_n love_v a_o man_n soul_n he_o will_v not_o let_v he_o stay_v there_o but_o go_v further_o with_o he_o and_o show_v he_o that_o his_o prayer_n &_o fasting_n be_v all_o empty_a and_o fall_v short_a of_o the_o life_n and_o power_n of_o jesus_n christ_n ay_o but_o yet_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o quite_o out_o of_o hope_n though_o the_o law_n can_v save_v i_o if_o it_o can_v i_o must_v get_v i_o to_o jesus_n christ_n then_o and_o lie_v hold_v upon_o he_o for_o salvation_n as_o if_o all_o be_v to_o be_v have_v by_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n if_o once_o he_o can_v lay_v hold_n upon_o he_o and_o nothing_o else_o be_v require_v but_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o my_o lay_n hold_v upon_o he_o i_o see_v plain_o say_v a_o man_n in_o this_o case_n that_o there_o be_v no_o hope_n in_o i_o as_o have_v be_v right_o observe_v &_o therefore_o he_o trust_v upon_o jesus_n christ_n and_o give_v himself_o to_o jesus_n christ_n but_o now_o if_o the_o lord_n love_v thy_o soul_n he_o will_v not_o suffer_v thou_o there_o to_o rest_n the_o spirit_n of_o burn_a will_v not_o leave_v thou_o so_o how_o come_v thou_o by_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n why_o thou_o take_v it_o up_o of_o thy_o own_o accord_n thou_o think_v all_o thy_o gift_n and_o duty_n be_v in_o vain_a and_o therefore_o now_o thou_o will_v believe_v in_o jesus_n christ_n be_v it_o so_o easy_a a_o matter_n can_v any_o man_n come_v unto_o christ_n except_o the_o father_n draw_v he_o and_o be_v thy_o faith_n any_o more_o than_o a_o resolution_n of_o thy_o own_o when_o thou_o be_v convince_v of_o the_o emptiness_n of_o thy_o own_o gift_n and_o ability_n when_o this_o spirit_n of_o burn_a have_v blast_v this_o thy_o faith_n also_o and_o that_o by_o the_o clear_a evidence_n of_o the_o gospel_n put_v upon_o it_o now_o say_v the_o soul_n i_o see_v that_o i_o be_o not_o in_o christ_n though_o i_o say_v i_o will_v trust_v in_o christ_n yet_o i_o see_v it_o be_v not_o every_o one_o that_o say_v lord_n lord_n shall_v enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n now_o i_o see_v it_o be_v not_o my_o faith_n that_o will_v reach_v jesus_n christ_n it_o be_v not_o a_o faith_n of_o my_o own_o undertake_n that_o will_v serve_v the_o turn_n i_o see_v now_o christ_n alone_o must_v work_v this_o great_a work_n in_o i_o and_o christ_n in_o the_o way_n of_o his_o own_o ordinance_n therefore_o i_o must_v look_v for_o it_o in_o his_o word_n and_o in_o the_o fellowship_n of_o in_o time_n he_o shall_v find_v jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o ordinance_n and_o so_o hammer_v out_o a_o faith_n from_o thence_o and_o therein_o bless_v himself_o now_o mind_n you_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n when_o the_o lord_n god_n the_o father_n will_v draw_v home_o the_o soul_n thorough_o to_o jesus_n christ_n will_v burn_v up_o all_o thy_o confidence_n for_o if_o thy_o soul_n be_v not_o utter_o lose_v so_o long_o as_o it_o have_v any_o root_n or_o power_n in_o itself_o though_o i_o can_v work_v i_o will_v believe_v and_o if_o i_o can_v believe_v i_o will_v wait_v that_o i_o may_v believe_v and_o so_o here_o be_v still_o the_o old_a root_n of_o adam_n leave_v alive_a in_o we_o whereby_o man_n seek_v to_o establish_v their_o own_o righteousness_n whereof_o the_o apostle_n paul_n often_o make_v mention_n this_o old_a root_n put_v forth_o itself_o and_o will_v not_o suffer_v the_o soul_n to_o be_v whole_o for_o christ_n and_o for_o christ_n alone_o and_o all_o because_o there_o be_v a_o spring_n of_o adam_n still_o in_o the_o soul_n whence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o soul_n be_v marvellous_a apt_a to_o have_v hope_n and_o confidence_n more_o or_o less_o from_o some_o virtue_n or_o contrary_a thing_n to_o nature_n for_o nature_n be_v full_o possess_v that_o what_o god_n command_v i_o be_o able_a to_o do_v it_o nature_n will_v not_o be_v persuade_v to_o the_o contrary_a if_o i_o hear_v god_n command_v any_o thing_n i_o will_v do_v it_o say_v a_o carnal_a heart_n and_o if_o i_o can_v do_v it_o i_o will_v believe_v and_o if_o i_o can_v believe_v i_o will_v wait_v that_o i_o may_v believe_v this_o be_v still_o but_o nature_n now_o when_o the_o lord_n come_v indeed_o to_o engraft_v we_o into_o jesus_n christ_n this_o be_v quite_o contrary_a to_o nature_n why_o wherein_o be_v it_o so_o contrary_a to_o nature_n i_o answer_v whereas_o nature_n be_v active_a for_o itself_o now_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o whereas_o a_o soul_n have_v be_v stir_v and_o busy_a in_o his_o own_o strength_n at_o length_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n by_o the_o mighty_a power_n of_o his_o grace_n be_v shed_v abroad_o into_o the_o soul_n do_v burn_v up_o root_n and_o branch_n not_o only_o the_o root_n of_o abraham_n covenant_n but_o all_o the_o fatness_n of_o the_o root_n of_o the_o wild_a olive_n by_o which_o we_o be_v fat_a and_o lively_a to_o spiritual_a work_n in_o our_o apprehension_n so_o that_o we_o work_v in_o our_o own_o strength_n until_o the_o lord_n come_v and_o cut_v we_o quite_o down_o and_o make_v we_o to_o see_v that_o there_o be_v not_o in_o we_o the_o least_o good_a thought_n as_o of_o ourselves_o and_o therefore_o unless_o the_o lord_n be_v wonderful_o gracious_a to_o we_o we_o can_v be_v save_v till_o it_o come_v unto_o this_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o fit_a for_o jesus_n christ_n thus_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n may_v work_v powerful_o in_o the_o heart_n man_n and_o burn_v up_o their_o root_n and_o branch_n and_o this_o a_o spirit_n of_o burn_a may_v do_v and_o yet_o leave_v the_o soul_n in_o a_o damnable_a condition_n for_o aught_o i_o know_v and_o such_o as_o many_o a_o soul_n may_v be_v in_o and_o yet_o never_o come_v to_o enjoy_v save_v fellowship_n with_o jesus_n christ_n therefore_o as_o this_o be_v one_o arm_n of_o god_n stretch_v forth_o for_o the_o salvation_n of_o his_o people_n when_o he_o draw_v they_o home_o to_o jesus_n christ_n so_o 2._o second_o there_o be_v a_o further_a work_n of_o god_n when_o he_o give_v the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n which_o reach_v beyond_o all_o the_o former_a work_n he_o have_v cut_v we_o off_o from_o ourselves_o and_o now_o we_o stand_v in_o a_o state_n quite_o contrary_a to_o nature_n and_o if_o any_o saving-work_n be_v wrought_v in_o we_o it_o be_v quite_o contrary_a to_o nature_n if_o any_o thing_n fall_v upon_o the_o heart_n and_o soul_n of_o a_o man_n to_o bring_v his_o will_n to_o this_o pass_n to_o lie_v down_o at_o god_n foot_n that_o he_o know_v not_o what_o to_o do_v and_o yet_o whatsoever_o the_o lord_n call_v he_o unto_o he_o be_v willing_a if_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o be_v do_v he_o will_v run_v through_o fire_n and_o water_n to_o do_v it_o but_o he_o find_v himself_o unable_a to_o do_v any_o thing_n and_o now_o he_o will_v tell_v you_o that_o to_o believe_v be_v as_o impossible_a for_o he_o as_o to_o build_v a_o world_n why_o then_o bid_v he_o wait_v wait_v say_v he_o i_o but_o i_o can_v wait_v and_o if_o i_o seek_v the_o lord_n i_o can_v find_v he_o and_o i_o see_v other_o of_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n wrought_v upon_o gracious_o but_o dead_a heart_a i_o nothing_o will_v work_v upon_o i_o now_o in_o such_o a_o case_n as_o this_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n come_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o christian_a and_o take_v possession_n of_o the_o soul_n for_o jesus_n christ_n and_o so_o draw_v the_o soul_n unto_o jesus_n christ_n and_o make_v it_o there_o to_o stay_v and_o there_o to_o lie_v down_o and_o to_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v draw_v yet_o near_o and_o near_o to_o jesus_n christ_n and_o to_o be_v carry_v a_o end_n by_o he_o to_o take_v all_o from_o he_o and_o to_o give_v all_o the_o glory_n to_o he_o this_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n do_v give_v a_o man_n a_o sonlike_a frame_n to_o lie_v prostrate_a at_o his_o father_n will_n like_v unto_o the_o prodigal_a son_n luk._n 15.17_o 18_o 19_o who_o when_o he_o come_v unto_o himself_o and_o see_v how_o unable_a he_o be_v to_o provide_v for_o himself_o and_o how_o unworthy_a he_o be_v that_o his_o father_n shall_v do_v any_o thing_n for_o he_o he_o come_v and_o lie_v down_o as_o it_o be_v at_o the_o foot_n of_o his_o father_n for_o he_o be_v unable_a and_o unworthy_a of_o any_o mercy_n now_o this_o stoop_v of_o the_o heart_n unto_o god_n and_o yield_v unto_o he_o to_o do_v with_o we_o as_o seem_v good_a in_o his_o own_o eye_n be_v such_o a_o prostration_n of_o the_o heart_n wherein_o the_o lord_n have_v take_v possession_n of_o the_o soul_n that_o he_o may_v be_v help_v of_o god_n to_o depend_v upon_o he_o thus_o he_o receive_v all_o from_o christ_n and_o give_v all_o unto_o christ_n this_o be_v the_o father_n draw_v of_o the_o soul_n which_o be_v expound_v to_o be_v the_o hear_n and_o learn_v of_o the_o father_n of_o which_o john_n speak_v chap._n 6.45_o he_o that_o have_v hear_v and_o learn_v of_o the_o father_n come_v unto_o i_o which_o be_v when_o the_o lord_n have_v draw_v the_o soul_n out_o of_o his_o natural_a corruption_n legal_a reformation_n pretence_n of_o faith_n and_o wait_v upon_o christ_n in_o his_o own_o strength_n for_o faith_n if_o it_o be_v want_v then_o when_o the_o soul_n do_v lie_v at_o his_o foot_n to_o dispose_v of_o according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o be_v in_o some_o measure_n subject_n unto_o the_o lord_n though_o not_o so_o much_o as_o he_o can_v be_v desirous_a he_o be_v and_o therefore_o now_o the_o soul_n do_v not_o content_a and_o bless_v himself_o in_o his_o faith_n not_o any_o other_o gift_n or_o work_n of_o his_o own_o but_o yield_v himself_o humble_o unto_o the_o lord_n to_o work_v in_o he_o both_o will_n and_o deed_n of_o his_o own_o good_a pleasure_n and_o to_o teach_v he_o how_o to_o seek_v and_o wait_v and_o believe_v and_o long_o after_o jesus_n christ_n these_o thing_n he_o wait_v for_o otherwise_o until_o he_o be_v thus_o teach_v of_o god_n the_o soul_n will_v always_o think_v that_o he_o can_v do_v something_o and_o be_v not_o able_a to_o come_v out_o of_o himself_o to_o a_o utter_a denial_n of_o himself_o but_o if_o any_o man_n will_v come_v unto_o christ_n he_o must_v deny_v himself_o even_o all_o his_o own_o gift_n and_o part_n and_o good_a work_n whatsoever_o for_o a_o man_n be_v never_o utter_o deny_v until_o there_o be_v nothing_o leave_v of_o which_o a_o man_n can_v say_v this_o i_o be_o able_a to_o do_v or_o this_o be_v a_o excellent_a thing_n in_o i_o and_o when_o it_o come_v unto_o this_o pass_n then_o will_v the_o soul_n lie_v down_o at_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o acknowledge_v that_o if_o the_o lord_n will_v never_o show_v he_o mercy_n just_a and_o righteous_a be_v his_o judgement_n now_o when_o the_o soul_n and_o will_n of_o a_o christian_a be_v convince_v of_o these_o thing_n as_o well_o as_o his_o judgement_n that_o now_o he_o wait_v upon_o christ_n as_o well_o that_o he_o may_v be_v able_a to_o wait_v and_o seek_v the_o lord_n as_o he_o do_v for_o any_o other_o good_a thing_n from_o the_o lord_n he_o wait_v now_o upon_o the_o lord_n for_o a_o poor_a spirit_n and_o can_v perk_v up_o himself_o as_o a_o bruise_a reed_n can_v do_v thus_o when_o it_o come_v unto_o saving-work_n the_o will_n and_o soul_n of_o a_o man_n be_v so_o cast_v down_o that_o a_o man_n can_v tell_v what_o to_o make_v of_o himself_o but_o there_o he_o lie_v to_o see_v what_o the_o lord_n will_v do_v with_o he_o whether_o he_o will_v reach_v forth_o the_o hand_n of_o salvation_n unto_o he_o in_o this_o case_n the_o soul_n
work_n of_o some_o enemy_n to_o deceive_v he_o though_o he_o all_o this_o while_n see_v his_o need_n of_o christ_n and_o have_v none_o in_o heaven_n but_o he_o none_o in_o earth_n in_o comparison_n of_o he_o of_o the_o want_n of_o who_o he_o be_v sensible_a yet_o the_o soul_n know_v not_o whether_o all_o this_o humiliation_n which_o be_v wrought_v in_o he_o come_v from_o the_o wrath_n or_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o whether_o god_n have_v not_o in_o all_o this_o give_v he_o only_o a_o taste_n of_o the_o very_a torment_n of_o hell_n and_o the_o pledge_n of_o they_o to_o his_o everlasting_a perdition_n thus_o may_v the_o poor_a soul_n be_v afraid_a notwithstanding_o all_o this_o gracious_a work_n wrought_v in_o he_o above_o all_o the_o power_n of_o the_o creature_n though_o the_o lord_n have_v not_o say_v much_o of_o it_o unto_o he_o yet_o he_o have_v do_v it_o and_o happy_a we_o that_o ever_o the_o lord_n have_v own_v we_o so_o far_o now_o here_o be_v the_o special_a work_n of_o the_o son_n he_o do_v bring_v we_o back_o again_o to_o the_o father_n and_z reveals_z what_o the_o father_n have_v do_v unto_o we_o even_o his_o rich_a grace_n that_o have_v take_v all_o this_o pain_n with_o we_o for_o as_o no_o man_n know_v the_o son_n but_o the_o father_n so_o neither_o do_v any_o man_n know_v the_o father_n but_o the_o son_n and_o be_v to_o who_o the_o son_n will_v reveal_v he_o mat._n 11.27_o so_o that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n do_v enlighten_v the_o soul_n by_o the_o anoint_v of_o his_o bless_a spirit_n to_o see_v what_o it_o be_v that_o the_o lord_n have_v do_v for_o he_o in_o mercy_n which_o heretofore_o he_o think_v be_v do_v in_o wrath_n whence_o the_o soul_n begin_v to_o see_v the_o father_n love_n even_o the_o goodness_n of_o a_o god_n in_o what_o have_v pass_v upon_o he_o far_o beyond_o what_o he_o can_v have_v ask_v or_o think_v for_o and_o therefore_o now_o begin_v with_o some_o more_o hope_n and_o liberty_n to_o call_v god_n father_n for_o from_o this_o work_n of_o the_o son_n there_o do_v arise_v the_o two_o character_n of_o a_o son_n in_o the_o soul_n both_o which_o be_v comprise_v in_o this_o one_o that_o be_v liberty_n and_o there_o be_v a_o double_a liberty_n wherein_o a_o son_n do_v stand_v 1._o first_o he_o have_v ease_n from_o all_o his_o doubtful_a fear_n or_o at_o least_o from_o a_o great_a part_n of_o the_o burden_n of_o they_o some_o refocilation_n some_o kind_n of_o quietness_n fall_v upon_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o weary_a sinner_n whence_o the_o heart_n be_v ease_v beyond_o his_o thought_n although_o as_o yet_o his_o comfort_n stand_v rather_o in_o expectation_n then_o in_o actual_a fruition_n as_o our_o saviour_n say_v come_v unto_o i_o all_o you_o that_o be_v weary_a and_o heavy_a lade_v and_o i_o will_v give_v you_o rest_n mat._n 11.28.29_o he_o do_v not_o promise_v sudden_a rest_n he_o will_v give_v you_o present_a ease_n but_o learn_v of_o i_o for_o i_o be_o meek_a and_o lowly_a and_o you_o shall_v find_v rest_n unto_o your_o soul_n the_o lord_n will_v give_v rest_n unto_o the_o soul_n of_o his_o people_n at_o the_o present_a he_o give_v they_o ease_v and_o a_o expectation_n of_o much_o more_o plentiful_a fruition_n of_o rest_n and_o peace_n which_o they_o have_v begin_v to_o taste_v of_o and_o how_o do_v the_o lord_n ease_v the_o soul_n in_o such_o a_o case_n so_o as_o that_o they_o feel_v the_o burden_n a_o great_a deal_n light_a how_o do_v the_o son_n quiet_a and_o still_o and_o refresh_v the_o soul_n be_v it_o by_o the_o sight_n of_o his_o own_o hunger_a and_o thirst_v after_o righteousness_n what_o say_v the_o lord_n in_o such_o a_o case_n or_o how_o do_v he_o satisfy_v the_o soul_n he_o tell_v we_o plain_o where_o our_o satisfaction_n be_v joh._n 7.37_o 38_o 39_o if_o any_o man_n thirst_n let_v he_o come_v unto_o i_o and_o drink_n so_o that_o if_o a_o man_n thirst_n how_o shall_v he_o satisfy_v himself_o in_o his_o thirst_v this_o be_v the_o main_a question_n in_o many_o a_o soul_n may_v i_o not_o draw_v consolation_n out_o of_o this_o that_o i_o do_v thirst_n after_o the_o lord_n jesus_n you_o shall_v find_v that_o the_o lord_n do_v not_o bid_v i_o go_v satisfy_v myself_o by_o see_v my_o thirst_n if_o a_o man_n shall_v say_v i_o be_o exceed_o thirsty_a and_o i_o shall_v tell_v he_o that_o he_o be_v a_o man_n of_o a_o healthful_a constitution_n because_o a_o man_n in_o a_o frenzy_n be_v thirsty_a and_o know_v it_o not_o this_o will_v not_o satisfy_v his_o thirst_n how_o therefore_o come_v the_o soul_n to_o be_v free_v of_o his_o burden_n he_o thirst_v after_o christ_n and_o none_o of_o all_o the_o creature_n can_v quench_v his_o thirst_n therefore_o our_o saviour_n proclaim_v this_o in_o the_o last_o and_o great_a day_n of_o the_o feast_n when_o most_o of_o the_o jew_n be_v present_a for_o this_o feast_n last_v eight_o day_n if_o any_o man_n be_v now_o athirst_a and_o not_o satisfy_v with_o all_o the_o ordinance_n they_o have_v now_o enjoy_v he_o do_v not_o send_v they_o back_o again_o nor_o do_v he_o bid_v they_o satisfy_v themselves_o with_o their_o own_o thirsting_n neither_o do_v he_o tell_v they_o that_o their_o blessedness_n lie_v in_o that_o they_o do_v thirst_n though_o there_o be_v a_o blessedness_n in_o it_o but_o how_o then_o shall_v they_o be_v satisfy_v let_v he_o come_v to_o i_o and_o drink_v so_o that_o this_o be_v the_o christian_a liberty_n which_o the_o lord_n bring_v we_o unto_o when_o he_o work_v in_o we_o unquenchable_a desire_n after_o christ_n if_o you_o will_v comfort_v a_o soul_n sound_n to_o the_o ear_n of_o those_o that_o stand_v by_o all_o of_o they_o do_v make_v but_o one_o instrument_n and_o one_o sound_n and_o yet_o variety_n of_o music_n so_o be_v this_o very_a case_n look_v at_o all_o the_o live_a member_n of_o christ_n they_o be_v all_o compact_a together_o and_o set_v into_o one_o stock_n and_o root_n by_o which_o mean_v it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o though_o they_o be_v many_o thousand_o yet_o they_o all_o make_v a_o melodious_a harmony_n in_o the_o ear_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o host_n therefore_o for_o the_o combine_a of_o we_o into_o the_o unity_n of_o one_o spirit_n necessary_a it_o be_v that_o the_o same_o spirit_n that_o breathe_v in_o the_o humane_a nature_n of_o christ_n shall_v breathe_v in_o we_o all_o and_o though_o the_o divine_a nature_n of_o christ_n be_v god_n the_o humane_a nature_n be_v finite_a and_o yet_o have_v the_o spirit_n above_o the_o capacity_n of_o the_o creature_n and_o this_o same_o spirit_n do_v act_n and_o guide_v and_o move_v all_o our_o affair_n in_o he_o and_o which_o be_v wonderful_a it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o the_o same_o spirit_n breathe_v in_o christ_n and_o in_o we_o we_o have_v not_o only_o a_o measure_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o do_v one_o duty_n but_o he_o do_v concur_v with_o we_o in_o all_o spiritual_a duty_n which_o we_o undertake_v according_a to_o he_o for_o without_o he_o we_o can_v do_v nothing_o joh._n 15.5_o this_o be_v the_o first_o reason_n of_o the_o inhabitation_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o keep_v alive_a spiritual_a union_n between_o christ_n and_o we_o therefore_o be_v the_o power_n of_o darkness_n and_o gate_n of_o hell_n be_v band_v together_o against_o jesus_n christ_n and_o his_o servant_n there_o be_v not_o the_o least_o of_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n that_o fall_v away_o final_o and_o the_o apostle_n john_n give_v the_o reason_n of_o it_o 1_o joh._n 4.4_o you_o be_v of_o god_n little_a child_n and_o have_v overcome_v they_o because_o great_a be_v he_o courage_n or_o whatsoever_o else_o be_v requisite_a for_o the_o salvation_n of_o god_n people_n the_o spirit_n by_o his_o power_n dwell_v in_o we_o act_v and_o preserve_v they_o the_o son_n of_o god_n own_o eternal_a counsel_n for_o their_o salvation_n there_o be_v i_o confess_v also_o some_o kind_n of_o presence_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n even_o in_o hypocrite_n that_o
be_v only_o fit_v to_o some_o work_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o only_o attain_v to_o some_o work_n of_o common_a grace_n but_o not_o such_o as_o do_v accompany_v salvation_n you_o will_v find_v this_o difference_n between_o they_o and_o god_n own_o child_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n indeed_o come_v upon_o they_o as_o he_o do_v upon_o saul_n 1_o sam._n 10.10_o so_o that_o he_o prophesy_v and_o the_o eye_n of_o their_o understanding_n otherwise_o it_o be_v beyond_o the_o power_n of_o create_a gift_n to_o reach_v the_o clear_a discern_v of_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n as_o they_o be_v dispense_v in_o the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n and_o as_o in_o all_o sight_n there_o be_v the_o organ_n and_o the_o medium_fw-la and_o the_o object_n the_o eye_n be_v the_o organ_n the_o spirit_n come_v in_o the_o mouth_n of_o the_o word_n and_o the_o word_n in_o the_o mouth_n of_o the_o spirit_n take_v heed_n therefore_o of_o all_o revelation_n in_o which_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v silent_a for_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n will_v speak_v scripture_n to_o you_o when_o he_o come_v he_o will_v not_o bring_v a_o new_a gospel_n and_o new_a revelation_n but_o he_o always_o
