can_v scarce_o find_v one_o among_o a_o hundred_o which_o submit_v himself_o willing_o to_o learn_v for_o while_o all_o man_n almost_o be_v ashamed_a to_o be_v ignorant_a of_o that_o whereof_o they_o be_v ignorant_a every_o man_n have_v rather_o proud_o nourish_v his_o ignorance_n than_o seem_v to_o be_v scholar_n to_o other_o man_n yea_o a_o great_a many_o take_v upon_o they_o hautilie_o to_o teach_v other_o man_n nevertheless_o let_v we_o remember_v that_o the_o eunuch_n do_v so_o confess_v his_o ignorance_n that_o yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o be_v one_o of_o god_n scholar_n when_o he_o read_v the_o scripture_n this_o be_v the_o true_a reverence_n of_o the_o scripture_n when_o as_o we_o acknowledge_v that_o there_o be_v that_o wisdom_n lay_v up_o there_o which_o surpass_v all_o our_o sense_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o we_o do_v not_o loathe_v it_o but_o read_v diligent_o we_o depend_v upon_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o desire_v to_o have_v a_o interpreter_n give_v us._n he_o pray_v philip_n that_o he_o will_v come_v up_o this_o be_v another_o token_n of_o modesty_n that_o he_o seek_v a_o interpreter_n and_o teacher_n he_o may_v have_v reject_v philip_n according_a to_o the_o pride_n of_o scotfree_a man_n for_o it_o be_v a_o certain_a secret_a upbraid_v of_o ignorance_n when_o philip_n say_v understand_v thou_o what_o thou_o read_v but_o rich_a man_n think_v that_o they_o have_v great_a injury_n do_v they_o if_o any_o man_n speak_v homely_a to_o they_o and_o therefore_o they_o break_v out_o by_o and_o by_o into_o these_o speech_n what_o be_v that_o to_o thou_o or_o what_o have_v thou_o to_o do_v with_o i_o but_o the_o eunuch_n submit_v himself_o humble_o to_o philip_n that_o by_o he_o he_o may_v be_v teach_v thus_o must_v we_o be_v mind_v if_o we_o desire_v to_o have_v god_n to_o be_v our_o teacher_n who_o spirit_n rest_v upon_o the_o humble_a and_o meek_a 66.2_o isa_n 66.2_o and_o if_o any_o man_n mistrust_v himself_o submit_v not_o those_o to_o escape_v scotfree_a which_o despise_v the_o same_o and_o here_o we_o must_v remember_v that_o the_o scripture_n be_v not_o only_o give_v we_o but_o that_o interpreter_n and_o teacher_n be_v also_o add_v to_o be_v help_n to_o us._n for_o this_o cause_n the_o lord_n send_v rather_o philip_n than_o a_o angel_n to_o the_o eunuch_n for_o to_o what_o end_n serve_v this_o circuit_n that_o god_n call_v philip_n by_o the_o voice_n of_o the_o angel_n and_o send_v not_o the_o angel_n himself_o forthwith_o save_v only_o because_o he_o will_v accustom_v we_o to_o hear_v in_o the_o way_n both_o that_o he_o may_v try_v patience_n of_o faith_n in_o they_o and_o also_o that_o he_o may_v teach_v they_o humility_n by_o put_v they_o in_o mind_n of_o their_o ignorance_n that_o he_o may_v make_v they_o more_o attentive_a after_o that_o they_o have_v shake_v off_o drowsiness_n that_o he_o may_v make_v they_o more_o fervent_a in_o prayer_n that_o he_o may_v prick_v they_o forward_o to_o love_v the_o truth_n more_o dear_o that_o he_o may_v set_v forth_o the_o excellency_n of_o his_o heavenly_a wisdom_n which_o be_v otherwise_o not_o so_o esteem_v as_o it_o ought_v but_o howsoever_o the_o faithful_a do_v not_o attain_v unto_o the_o mark_n of_o perfect_a knowledge_n yet_o they_o shall_v always_o perceive_v that_o their_o labour_n be_v not_o in_o vain_a filthy_a be_v the_o sluggishness_n of_o those_o man_n who_o suppress_v the_o faith_n which_o they_o have_v conceive_v have_v be_v teach_v five_o ten_o or_o twenty_o year_n if_o thou_o believe_v with_o all_o thy_o heart_n whereas_o the_o eunuch_n be_v not_o admit_v to_o baptism_n until_o he_o have_v make_v confession_n of_o his_o faith_n we_o must_v fetch_v a_o general_a rule_n hence_o that_o those_o aught_o to_o be_v receive_v into_o the_o church_n who_o be_v estrange_v from_o the_o same_o before_o until_o they_o have_v testify_v that_o they_o believe_v in_o christ_n for_o baptism_n be_v
