of_o that_o thing_n which_o here_o we_o seek_v for_o for_o like_a as_o a_o little_a dew_n or_o sprinkle_n of_o water_n be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o cause_v the_o earth_n to_o bring_v forth_o fruit_n which_o do_v no_o more_o but_o only_o allay_v the_o dust_n and_o wet_v the_o uppermost_a part_n of_o the_o grind_v but_o it_o be_v needful_a to_o have_v so_o much_o water_n that_o it_o may_v enter_v into_o the_o innermost_a part_n of_o the_o earth_n &_o there_o soak_v and_o water_n through_o the_o same_o even_o so_o be_v it_o requisite_a to_o have_v here_o abundance_n of_o this_o due_a and_o water_n of_o heaven_n to_o bring_v forth_o the_o fruit_n of_o good_a work_v and_o therefore_o we_o be_v counsel_v not_o without_o great_a reason_n that_o we_o take_v as_o long_a time_n for_o this_o holy_a exercise_n as_o we_o may_v and_o better_o it_o be_v to_o have_v one_o long_a time_n for_o the_o same_o than_o two_o short_a time_n for_o if_o the_o time_n be_v short_a all_o be_v spend_v almost_o in_o settle_v the_o imagination_n and_o in_o quiet_v the_o mind_n and_o then_o when_o we_o have_v quiet_v the_o same_o we_o rise_v from_o our_o exercise_n even_o when_o we_o shall_v begin_v it_o and_o descend_v more_o in_o particular_a to_o limit_v this_o time_n i_o be_o of_o opinion_n that_o what_o soever_o be_v less_o than_o one_o hour_n and_o a_o half_a or_o two_o hour_n be_v to_o short_a a_o time_n for_o prayer_n because_o that_o oftentimes_o there_o be_v spend_v more_o than_o half_a a_o hour_n in_o temper_v our_o instrument_n that_o be_v as_o i_o say_v before_o in_o quiet_v our_o imagination_n and_o so_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o time_n be_v requisite_a for_o the_o enjoy_n of_o the_o fruit_n of_o prayer_n true_a it_o be_v that_o when_o we_o go_v to_o this_o exercise_n of_o prayer_n after_o some_o other_o holy_a exercise_n our_o hart_n be_v then_o better_o dispose_v for_o this_o affair_n and_o so_o like_o dry_a wood_n be_v very_o apt_a to_o conceive_v more_o quick_o in_o itself_o this_o heavenly_a fire_n likewise_o early_o in_o the_o morning_n our_o meditation_n may_v be_v the_o long_o because_o than_o our_o hart_n be_v much_o better_o dispose_v for_o this_o exercise_n then_o at_o any_o other_o time_n howbeit_o in_o case_n that_o a_o man_n have_v little_a time_n by_o reason_n of_o his_o manifold_a business_n yet_o let_v he_o not_o omit_v to_o offer_v up_o his_o mite_n with_o the_o poor_a widow_n in_o the_o temple_n for_o if_o he_o fail_v not_o of_o his_o dewtie_n herein_o throwghe_o his_o own_o negligence_n he_o that_o provide_v for_o all_o creature_n according_a to_o their_o necessity_n will_v not_o want_n to_o provide_v likewise_o for_o he_o the_o seven_o advice_n according_a unto_o this_o foresay_a advice_n we_o will_v give_v a_o other_o very_o like_a which_o be_v that_o when_o our_o soul_n be_v visit_v either_o in_o prayer_n or_o out_o of_o prayer_n with_o any_o special_a visitation_n of_o our_o lord_n we_o suffer_v it_o not_o to_o pass_v away_v in_o vain_a but_o take_v the_o commodity_n and_o benefit_n of_o that_o occasion_n that_o be_v offer_v unto_o us._n for_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o with_o this_o wind_n a_o man_n shall_v sail_v more_o in_o one_o hour_n than_o without_o it_o in_o many_o day_n and_o so_o we_o read_v that_o the_o holy_a father_n s._n francis_n do_v of_o who_o s._n bonaven_n ture_n write_v that_o he_o have_v such_o a_o special_a care_n in_o this_o point_n that_o in_o case_n our_o lord_n do_v visit_v he_o with_o any_o special_a visitation_n while_o he_o be_v traveil_v by_o the_o way_v
