not_o strive_v nor_o cry_v neither_o shall_v any_o man_n hear_v his_o voice_n in_o the_o street_n these_o word_n set_v down_o the_o mild_a carriage_n and_o sweet_a and_o amiable_a manner_n of_o christ_n carriage_n upon_o earth_n here_o in_o his_o first_o come_v to_o work_v the_o great_a work_n of_o our_o redemption_n he_o do_v not_o carry_v the_o matter_n in_o a_o outward_a glorious_a teach_v than_o the_o instrument_n of_o vengeance_n be_v lay_v to_o the_o root_n and_o down_o they_o go_v if_o they_o bring_v not_o forth_o good_a fruit_n sin_n of_o omission_n when_o that_o all_o have_v be_v teach_v be_v sufficient_a to_o bring_v a_o man_n to_o judgement_n at_o the_o last_o judgement_n you_o have_v not_o visit_v i_o in_o prison_n you_o have_v not_o relieve_v the_o poor_a etc._n etc._n will_v be_v evidence_n enough_o to_o cast_v a_o man_n into_o hell_n and_o the_o like_a may_v be_v say_v of_o the_o omission_n of_o other_o duty_n when_o a_o man_n be_v call_v to_o place_n when_o he_o have_v opportunity_n to_o do_v good_a he_o have_v a_o price_n in_o his_o hand_n and_o yet_o have_v no_o heart_n to_o lay_v it_o out_o to_o his_o power_n god_n have_v make_v he_o a_o steward_n and_o yet_o he_o be_v unfruitful_a and_o labour_n to_o undermine_v and_o ruin_v the_o state_n of_o other_o what_o can_v such_o a_o man_n look_v for_o but_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n to_o light_v on_o he_o first_o or_o last_o if_o not_o present_a judgement_n on_o his_o body_n yet_o to_o be_v give_v up_o to_o hardness_n of_o heart_n and_o so_o to_o hell_n which_o be_v worst_a of_o all_o nay_o more_o love_n decay_n in_o our_o first_o love_n be_v a_o forerunner_n of_o judgement_n when_o we_o love_v not_o god_n as_o we_o be_v wont_a in_o rev._n 3_o i_o will_v take_v away_o thy_o candlestick_n because_o thou_o have_v leave_v thy_o first_o love_n be_v there_o not_o such_o a_o plenty_n and_o depth_n in_o good_a thing_n especial_o of_o the_o gospel_n whereby_o our_o sin_n be_v pardon_v and_o grace_n be_v give_v be_v there_o not_o that_o sweetness_n in_o they_o whereby_o to_o gain_v our_o love_n more_o and_o more_o be_v there_o not_o a_o necessity_n to_o renew_v our_o for_o the_o present_a that_o god_n have_v some_o blessing_n for_o we_o that_o now_o in_o our_o public_a meeting_n there_o be_v regard_n to_o religion_n and_o that_o in_o the_o first_o place_n there_o be_v some_o zeal_n for_o the_o cause_n of_o god_n against_o those_o that_o will_v wrong_v the_o cause_n of_o religion_n we_o have_v some_o cause_n to_o hope_v in_o respect_n of_o that_o and_o let_v every_o one_o labour_n to_o stir_v up_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o study_v how_o he_o may_v do_v and_o receive_v good_a and_o be_v fruitful_a and_o warm_a in_o his_o affection_n consider_v what_o excellent_a blessing_n we_o enjoy_v in_o the_o gospel_n what_o be_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o kingdom_n we_o live_v in_o above_o popery_n our_o religion_n that_o we_o have_v the_o sunshine_n of_o the_o and_o idolatrous_a withal_o and_o what_o mercy_n can_v we_o look_v for_o from_o they_o god_n fight_v against_o they_o for_o we_o from_o heaven_n in_o some_o measure_n and_o they_o be_v cruel_a provoke_v enemy_n be_v the_o less_o likely_a to_o show_v any_o mercy_n god_n be_v indeed_o so_o merciful_a to_o we_o yet_o that_o he_o have_v take_v we_o into_o his_o own_o hand_n rather_o than_o to_o give_v we_o up_o to_o the_o malice_n and_o fury_n of_o idolatrous_a enemy_n but_o yet_o those_o that_o can_v lay_v thing_n together_o and_o consider_v the_o time_n they_o shall_v see_v there_o be_v more_o cause_n of_o fear_n than_o be_v take_v to_o heart_n well_o and_o in_o this_o case_n what_o shall_v we_o do_v time_n first_o in_o the_o interim_n between_o the_o threaten_a and_o the_o execution_n there_o be_v some_o judgement_n in_o the_o cloud_n time_n and_o the_o storm_n seem_v to_o hang_v oâ—ver_v we_o and_o the_o sword_n of_o the_o pestilence_n be_v draw_v over_o our_o head_n by_o the_o destroy_a angel_n though_o he_o have_v not_o yet_o strike_v we_o in_o our_o particular_a now_o in_o the_o time_n between_o the_o threaten_a and_o the_o execution_n oh_o improove_v it_o make_v use_n of_o this_o little_a time_n get_v into_o covenant_n with_o god_n hide_v yourselves_o in_o the_o providence_n and_o promise_n of_o god_n make_v your_o peace_n defer_v it_o no_o long_o land_n and_o second_o mourn_v for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o time_n that_o when_o any_o judgement_n shall_v come_v you_o may_v be_v mark_v with_o those_o that_o mourn_n take_v heed_n of_o the_o error_n and_o sin_n of_o the_o time_n lest_o when_o a_o judgement_n come_v you_o be_v sweep_v away_o in_o the_o general_a judgement_n but_o let_v we_o rather_o have_v our_o part_n with_o those_o that_o mourn_n that_o god_n may_v give_v we_o our_o life_n for_o a_o prey_n watchful_a and_o three_o be_v watchful_a practise_v that_o duty_n we_o have_v the_o plague_n to_o put_v we_o in_o
god_n and_o when_o he_o be_v there_o he_o may_v yield_v a_o ear_n to_o listen_v and_o he_o have_v common_a discourse_n and_o understanding_n to_o know_v what_o be_v say_v and_o upon_o what_o ground_n he_o can_v offer_v himself_o to_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n he_o can_v come_v to_o the_o pool_n though_o he_o be_v not_o thrust_v in_o this_o day_n or_o that_o day_n when_o god_n stir_v the_o water_n this_o by_o common_a grace_n any_o man_n live_v in_o the_o church_n may_v do_v therefore_o though_o we_o be_v all_o dead_a we_o even_o the_o best_a of_o we_o by_o nature_n yet_o let_v we_o other_o stink_n and_o smell_n to_o common_a society_n common_a swearer_n and_o profane_a person_n that_o stink_n to_o any_o except_o it_o be_v to_o themselves_o but_o the_o godly_a have_v this_o death_n in_o part_n the_o life_n of_o sentence_n be_v perfect_a the_o life_n of_o justification_n but_o spiritual_a life_n in_o we_o be_v by_o little_a and_o little_o wrought_v in_o the_o mean_n the_o
