among_o we_o let_v i_o therefore_o short_o and_o plain_o discover_v it_o and_o let_v it_o be_v so_o far_o receive_v as_o we_o see_v the_o life_n and_o presence_n and_o truth_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n reveal_v in_o the_o doctrine_n of_o freegrace_n from_o the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n that_o sanctification_n according_a to_o the_o law_n propos_fw-fr 1_o that_o be_v to_o say_v such_o a_o there_o but_o though_o there_o be_v no_o difference_n in_o man_n judgement_n in_o this_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o easy_a thing_n for_o christian_n to_o mistake_v their_o evidence_n upon_o this_o very_a ground_n and_o as_o much_o upon_o this_o ground_n as_o any_o for_o when_o christian_n come_v to_o be_v real_o wrought_v upon_o and_o find_v themselves_o discourage_v from_o sin_n and_o so_o reform_v their_o life_n and_o give_v up_o themselves_o to_o obey_v the_o word_n and_o find_v comfort_n therein_o and_o great_a consolation_n many_o time_n in_o such_o a_o case_n as_o this_o christian_n do_v much_o differ_v upon_o the_o point_n and_o yet_o i_o do_v not_o know_v any_o of_o all_o the_o teacher_n in_o this_o country_n that_o withdraw_v their_o consent_n from_o this_o doctrine_n that_o such_o sanctification_n as_o be_v wrought_v in_o hypocrite_n though_o that_o it_o may_v reach_v to_o great_a improvement_n yet_o it_o be_v no_o evidence_n of_o justification_n at_o all_o it_o have_v be_v handle_v in_o another_o congregation_n and_o i_o think_v not_o without_o weight_n of_o truth_n that_o to_o distinguish_v in_o man_n between_o that_o sanctification_n which_o flow_v from_o the_o law_n and_o that_o which_o be_v of_o the_o gospel_n be_v a_o matter_n so_o narrow_a that_o the_o angel_n in_o heaven_n have_v much_o ado_n to_o discern_v who_o differ_v a_o work_n fit_a for_o angel_n to_o cut_v the_o scantling_n in_o it_o then_o for_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n though_o indeed_o there_o be_v great_a difference_n of_o the_o one_o from_o the_o other_o now_o though_o this_o do_v not_o tend_v to_o heal_v any_o difference_n in_o judgement_n yet_o it_o be_v useful_a to_o heal_v a_o misprision_n of_o sanctification_n that_o may_v be_v find_v in_o all_o hypocrite_n three_o thing_n be_v to_o be_v attend_v unto_o in_o all_o sanctification_n as_o 1._o from_o what_o root_n it_o spring_v 2._o by_o what_o rule_n it_o be_v guide_v 3._o at_o what_o end_v it_o aim_v and_o common_o under_o some_o one_o or_o other_o of_o these_o three_o be_v put_v all_o the_o difference_n between_o the_o one_o sanctification_n and_o the_o other_o i_o speak_v it_o that_o it_o may_v be_v search_v and_o god_n be_v my_o witness_n not_o to_o unsettle_v the_o wellgrounded_n comfort_n of_o any_o soul_n but_o if_o any_o man_n have_v build_v upon_o a_o unsafe_a foundation_n or_o have_v build_v hay_n or_o stubble_n better_a it_o be_v to_o know_v it_o at_o first_o while_o there_o be_v hope_n in_o israel_n then_o when_o it_o be_v too_o late_o in_o those_o three_o thing_n former_o mention_v be_v all_o the_o difference_n between_o the_o sanctification_n of_o hypocrite_n and_o of_o the_o child_n of_o

strong_a scripture_n which_o we_o read_v in_o joh._n 15.26_o when_o the_o comforter_n be_v come_v who_o i_o will_v send_v unto_o you_o from_o the_o father_n even_o the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n which_o proceed_v from_o the_o father_n he_o shall_v testify_v of_o i_o our_o divine_n have_v no_o place_n of_o more_o clear_a evidence_n to_o prove_v the_o procession_n of_o the_o spirit_n from_o the_o father_n both_o of_o what_o mighty_a redemption_n he_o have_v wrought_v for_o we_o and_o what_o grace_n he_o have_v wrought_v in_o we_o this_o the_o holy_a ghost_n shall_v testify_v even_o he_o that_o proceed_v from_o the_o father_n this_o be_v the_o comfort_n of_o god_n people_n thus_o we_o see_v both_o these_o point_n open_v to_o we_o how_o may_v we_o then_o employ_v and_o improve_v this_o sanctification_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v we_o quest_n 3_o and_o which_o he_o keep_v and_o act_v in_o we_o by_o his_o spirit_n and_o whereunto_o he_o bear_v witness_n how_o or_o to_o what_o end_n shall_v we_o employ_v it_o see_v the_o lord_n undertake_v to_o do_v these_o thing_n for_o we_o if_o so_o be_v it_o answ_n that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n by_o his_o spirit_n give_v we_o these_o gift_n it_o be_v our_o part_n then_o first_o to_o see_v that_o we_o do_v not_o rest_v in_o any_o sanctification_n which_o do_v spring_n from_o christ_n convey_v unto_o we_o by_o his_o bless_a spirit_n the_o spirit_n knit_v we_o unto_o christ_n and_o christ_n unto_o we_o he_o work_v faith_n in_o we_o to_o receive_v whatsoever_o the_o lord_n give_v unto_o we_o and_o by_o the_o same_o faith_n christ_n when_o the_o lord_n give_v we_o to_o look_v unto_o the_o lord_n jesus_n in_o it_o and_o to_o it_o in_o he_o and_o as_o we_o look_v for_o our_o holiness_n to_o be_v perfect_a in_o jesus_n christ_n so_o we_o look_v for_o continual_a supply_n of_o it_o from_o he_o and_o this_o it_o be_v to_o make_v christ_n our_o sanctification_n when_o as_o whatsoever_o gift_n the_o lord_n give_v we_o we_o go_v not_o forth_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o it_o but_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o jesus_n christ_n there_o may_v be_v a_o change_n in_o the_o soul_n which_o may_v spring_v from_o a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n and_o may_v captivate_v our_o conscience_n unto_o the_o law_n that_o may_v restrain_v we_o from_o sin_n and_o constrain_v we_o unto_o duty_n but_o such_o holiness_n spring_v not_o from_o union_n with_o jesus_n christ_n for_o there_o may_v be_v a_o conscience_n of_o duty_n without_o sense_n of_o our_o need_n of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o it_o be_v with_o the_o israelite_n at_o mount_n sinai_n deut._n 5.27_o go_v thou_o near_o say_v they_o to_o moses_n and_o hear_v all_o that_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n shall_v say_v and_o speak_v thou_o unto_o we_o all_o that_o the_o lord_n harlot_n etc._n etc._n trust_v not_o therefore_o in_o any_o of_o these_o but_o let_v all_o our_o confidence_n be_v in_o jesus_n christ_n not_o in_o any_o of_o the_o gift_n of_o his_o spirit_n whatsoever_o for_o a_o little_a further_o open_v of_o it_o 1._o trust_v not_o in_o any_o gift_n that_o you_o have_v receive_v for_o the_o performance_n of_o any_o duty_n for_o it_o be_v not_o the_o be_v many_o year_n ago_o true_o we_o attend_v upon_o ordinance_n but_o it_o be_v only_o upon_o the_o outward_a act_n of_o they_o and_o not_o upon_o jesus_n christ_n in_o they_o this_o be_v many_o time_n want_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n people_n but_o true_o if_o this_o be_v our_o constant_a frame_n and_o we_o do_v not_o recover_v ourselves_o then_o be_v not_o our_o sanctification_n that_o which_o flow_v from_o fellowship_n with_o jesus_n christ_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o his_o grace_n for_o you_o shall_v ever_o find_v this_o to_o be_v true_a that_o there_o be_v no_o gift_n of_o jesus_n christ_n nor_o sanctification_n accompany_v salvation_n but_o it_o do_v knit_v we_o near_o and_o near_o unto_o christ_n for_o the_o more_o we_o be_v fill_v with_o true_a spiritual_a gift_n fall_v away_o unless_o we_o be_v knit_v unto_o jesus_n christ_n by_o the_o spirit_n of_o his_o grace_n for_o by_o all_o true_a sanctification_n we_o be_v the_o more_o knit_v unto_o he_o so_o that_o more_o your_o gift_n be_v if_o you_o sit_v loose_a from_o christ_n the_o empty_a your_o heart_n be_v of_o he_o but_o you_o will_v say_v may_v not_o a_o christian_a be_v sometime_o full_a of_o himself_o and_o depend_v upon_o the_o strength_n of_o his_o own_o gift_n yes_o brethren_n god_n forbid_v i_o shall_v deny_v that_o for_o the_o best_a christian_n have_v go_v astray_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o their_o best_a gift_n and_o hereupon_o abraham_n have_v be_v want_v in_o faith_n and_o moses_n in_o meekness_n and_o peter_n in_o courage_n and_o sarah_n in_o her_o modesty_n they_o have_v be_v so_o apt_a to_o trust_v upon_o those_o grace_n of_o god_n wherein_o they_o have_v most_o abound_v that_o they_o have_v principal_o fail_v therein_o but_o this_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o if_o they_o have_v be_v overtake_v once_o or_o twice_o as_o the_o burn_a child_n dread_v the_o fire_n so_o they_o grow_v to_o be_v more_o sensible_a of_o their_o need_n of_o jesus_n christ_n more_o spiritual_a a_o man_n shall_v ordinary_o grow_v up_o in_o they_o habenti_fw-la dabitur_fw-la employ_v they_o and_o multiply_v they_o but_o if_o you_o have_v receive_v gift_n in_o your_o own_o confidence_n that_o they_o have_v in_o abraham_n covenant_n and_o temple_n and_o tabernacle_n and_o such_o thing_n be_v burn_v up_o and_o so_o they_o have_v no_o root_n leave_v they_o to_o stand_v upon_o and_o this_o be_v one_o thing_n intend_v by_o the_o root_n but_o 2._o there_o be_v something_o more_o in_o it_o for_o with_o this_o spirit_n of_o burn_a the_o lord_n by_o the_o power_n of_o his_o spirit_n do_v cut_v we_o off_o from_o any_o power_n of_o our_o own_o natural_a gift_n or_o part_n and_o spiritual_a gift_n also_o whereby_o we_o think_v to_o lay_v hold_n on_o jesus_n christ_n and_o we_o be_v cut_v off_o hereby_o from_o all_o that_o confidence_n that_o we_o have_v in_o our_o own_o sufficiency_n when_o once_o the_o lord_n intend_v to_o bring_v a_o soul_n unto_o himself_o for_o there_o be_v a_o usual_a prefidence_n that_o we_o have_v of_o our_o own_o state_n though_o the_o lord_n have_v cut_v we_o off_o from_o hope_n in_o the_o righteousness_n of_o our_o parent_n and_o from_o boast_v of_o his_o ordinance_n yet_o we_o think_v there_o be_v some_o power_n still_o leave_v we_o and_o therefore_o we_o hope_v and_o will_v seek_v that_o the_o lord_n may_v reveal_v himself_o to_o we_o in_o mercy_n and_o peace_n but_o when_o the_o lord_n come_v near_a unto_o we_o he_o will_v show_v we_o how_o unable_a we_o be_v to_o take_v up_o the_o least_o good_a resolution_n we_o shall_v be_v like_o bruise_a reed_n and_o not_o find_v ourselves_o able_a to_o hold_v up_o our_o head_n for_o christ_n come_v to_o seek_v and_o to_o save_v that_o which_o be_v lose_v so_o that_o christ_n will_v not_o seek_v we_o until_o we_o be_v lose_v and_o therefore_o he_o say_v mat._n 16.24_o if_o any_o man_n will_v come_v after_o i_o let_v he_o deny_v himself_o and_o follow_v i_o and_o this_o spirit_n of_o burn_a do_v burn_v up_o all_o our_o branch_n also_o how_o fair_a and_o green_a soever_o they_o have_v be_v all_o our_o fasting_n and_o humiliation_n and_o alms-deed_n and_o prayer_n such_o thing_n as_o the_o pharisee_n much_o boast_a in_o mat._n 6.1_o 2_o 3._o etc._n etc._n but_o these_o thing_n be_v all_o burn_v up_o this_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n partly_o as_o it_o work_v a_o tremble_a and_o fear_n and_o partly_o as_o it_o work_v to_o the_o burn_a up_o of_o all_o the_o hope_n that_o we_o have_v in_o ourselves_o there_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n i_o confess_v that_o only_o work_v unto_o fear_n and_o now_o all_o the_o hope_n be_v that_o a_o man_n set_v upon_o reformation_n but_o if_o the_o lord_n love_v a_o man_n soul_n he_o will_v not_o let_v he_o stay_v there_o but_o go_v further_o with_o he_o and_o show_v he_o that_o his_o prayer_n &_o fasting_n be_v all_o empty_a and_o fall_v short_a of_o the_o life_n and_o power_n of_o jesus_n christ_n ay_o but_o yet_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o quite_o out_o of_o hope_n though_o the_o law_n can_v save_v i_o if_o it_o can_v i_o must_v get_v i_o to_o jesus_n christ_n then_o and_o lie_v hold_v upon_o he_o for_o salvation_n as_o if_o all_o be_v to_o be_v have_v by_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n if_o once_o he_o can_v lay_v hold_n upon_o he_o and_o nothing_o else_o be_v require_v but_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o my_o lay_n hold_v upon_o he_o i_o see_v plain_o say_v a_o man_n in_o this_o case_n that_o there_o be_v no_o hope_n in_o i_o as_o have_v be_v right_o observe_v &_o therefore_o he_o trust_v upon_o jesus_n christ_n and_o give_v himself_o to_o jesus_n christ_n but_o now_o if_o the_o lord_n love_v thy_o soul_n he_o will_v not_o suffer_v thou_o there_o to_o rest_n the_o spirit_n of_o burn_a will_v not_o leave_v thou_o so_o how_o come_v thou_o by_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n why_o thou_o take_v it_o up_o of_o thy_o own_o accord_n thou_o think_v all_o thy_o gift_n and_o duty_n be_v in_o vain_a and_o therefore_o now_o thou_o will_v believe_v in_o jesus_n christ_n be_v it_o so_o easy_a a_o matter_n can_v any_o man_n come_v unto_o christ_n except_o the_o father_n draw_v and_o so_o here_o be_v still_o the_o old_a root_n of_o adam_n leave_v alive_a in_o we_o whereby_o man_n seek_v to_o establish_v their_o own_o righteousness_n whereof_o the_o apostle_n paul_n often_o be_v it_o so_o contrary_a to_o nature_n i_o answer_v whereas_o nature_n be_v active_a for_o itself_o now_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o whereas_o a_o soul_n have_v be_v stir_v and_o busy_a in_o his_o own_o strength_n at_o length_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n by_o the_o mighty_a power_n of_o his_o grace_n be_v shed_v abroad_o into_o the_o soul_n do_v burn_v up_o root_n and_o branch_n not_o only_o the_o root_n of_o abraham_n covenant_n but_o all_o the_o fatness_n of_o the_o root_n of_o the_o wild_a olive_n by_o which_o we_o be_v fat_a and_o lively_a to_o spiritual_a work_n in_o our_o apprehension_n so_o that_o we_o work_v in_o our_o own_o strength_n until_o the_o lord_n come_v and_o cut_v we_o quite_o down_o and_o make_v we_o to_o see_v that_o there_o be_v not_o in_o we_o the_o least_o good_a thought_n as_o of_o ourselves_o and_o therefore_o unless_o the_o lord_n be_v wonderful_o gracious_a to_o we_o we_o can_v be_v save_v till_o it_o come_v unto_o this_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o fit_a for_o jesus_n christ_n thus_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n may_v work_v powerful_o in_o the_o heart_n man_n and_o burn_v up_o their_o root_n and_o branch_n and_o this_o a_o spirit_n of_o burn_a may_v do_v and_o yet_o leave_v the_o soul_n in_o a_o damnable_a condition_n for_o aught_o i_o know_v and_o such_o as_o many_o a_o soul_n may_v be_v in_o and_o yet_o never_o come_v to_o enjoy_v save_v fellowship_n with_o jesus_n christ_n therefore_o as_o this_o be_v one_o arm_n of_o god_n stretch_v forth_o for_o the_o salvation_n of_o his_o people_n when_o he_o draw_v they_o home_o to_o jesus_n christ_n so_o 2._o second_o there_o be_v a_o further_a work_n of_o god_n when_o he_o give_v the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n which_o reach_v beyond_o all_o the_o former_a work_n he_o have_v cut_v we_o off_o from_o ourselves_o and_o now_o we_o stand_v in_o a_o state_n quite_o contrary_a to_o nature_n and_o if_o any_o saving-work_n be_v wrought_v in_o we_o it_o be_v quite_o contrary_a to_o nature_n if_o any_o thing_n fall_v upon_o the_o heart_n and_o soul_n of_o a_o man_n to_o bring_v his_o will_n to_o this_o pass_n to_o lie_v down_o at_o god_n foot_n that_o he_o know_v not_o what_o to_o do_v and_o yet_o whatsoever_o the_o lord_n call_v he_o unto_o he_o be_v willing_a if_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o be_v do_v he_o will_v run_v through_o fire_n and_o water_n to_o do_v it_o but_o he_o find_v himself_o unable_a to_o do_v any_o thing_n and_o now_o he_o will_v tell_v you_o that_o to_o believe_v be_v as_o impossible_a for_o he_o as_o to_o build_v a_o world_n why_o then_o bid_v he_o wait_v wait_v say_v he_o i_o but_o i_o can_v wait_v and_o if_o i_o seek_v the_o lord_n i_o can_v find_v he_o and_o i_o see_v other_o of_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n wrought_v upon_o gracious_o but_o dead_a heart_a i_o nothing_o will_v work_v upon_o i_o now_o in_o such_o a_o case_n as_o this_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n come_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o christian_a and_o take_v possession_n of_o the_o soul_n for_o jesus_n christ_n and_o so_o draw_v the_o soul_n unto_o jesus_n christ_n and_o make_v it_o there_o to_o stay_v and_o there_o to_o lie_v down_o and_o to_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v draw_v yet_o near_o and_o near_o to_o jesus_n christ_n and_o to_o be_v carry_v a_o end_n by_o he_o to_o take_v all_o from_o he_o and_o to_o give_v all_o the_o glory_n to_o he_o this_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n do_v give_v a_o man_n a_o sonlike_a frame_n to_o lie_v prostrate_a at_o his_o father_n will_n like_v unto_o the_o prodigal_a son_n luk._n 15.17_o 18_o 19_o who_o when_o he_o come_v unto_o himself_o and_o see_v how_o unable_a he_o be_v to_o provide_v for_o himself_o and_o how_o unworthy_a he_o be_v that_o his_o father_n shall_v do_v any_o thing_n for_o he_o he_o that_o he_o may_v be_v help_v of_o god_n to_o depend_v upon_o he_o thus_o he_o receive_v all_o from_o christ_n and_o give_v all_o unto_o christ_n this_o be_v the_o father_n draw_v of_o the_o soul_n which_o be_v expound_v to_o be_v the_o hear_n and_o learn_v of_o the_o father_n of_o which_o john_n speak_v chap._n 6.45_o he_o that_o have_v hear_v and_o learn_v of_o the_o father_n come_v unto_o i_o which_o be_v when_o the_o lord_n have_v draw_v the_o soul_n out_o of_o his_o natural_a corruption_n legal_a reformation_n pretence_n of_o faith_n and_o wait_v upon_o christ_n in_o his_o own_o strength_n for_o faith_n if_o it_o be_v want_v then_o when_o the_o soul_n do_v lie_v at_o his_o foot_n to_o dispose_v of_o according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o be_v in_o some_o measure_n subject_n unto_o the_o lord_n though_o not_o so_o much_o as_o he_o can_v be_v desirous_a he_o be_v and_o therefore_o now_o the_o soul_n do_v not_o content_a and_o bless_v himself_o in_o his_o faith_n not_o any_o other_o gift_n or_o work_n of_o his_o own_o but_o yield_v himself_o humble_o unto_o the_o lord_n to_o work_v in_o he_o both_o will_n and_o deed_n of_o his_o own_o good_a pleasure_n and_o to_o teach_v he_o how_o to_o seek_v and_o wait_v and_o believe_v and_o long_o after_o jesus_n christ_n these_o thing_n he_o wait_v for_o otherwise_o until_o he_o be_v thus_o teach_v of_o god_n the_o soul_n will_v always_o think_v that_o he_o can_v do_v something_o and_o be_v not_o able_a to_o come_v out_o of_o himself_o to_o a_o utter_a denial_n of_o himself_o but_o if_o any_o man_n will_v come_v unto_o christ_n he_o must_v deny_v himself_o even_o all_o his_o own_o gift_n and_o part_n and_o good_a work_n whatsoever_o for_o a_o man_n be_v never_o utter_o deny_v until_o there_o be_v nothing_o leave_v of_o which_o a_o man_n can_v say_v this_o i_o be_o able_a to_o do_v or_o this_o be_v a_o excellent_a thing_n in_o i_o and_o when_o it_o come_v unto_o this_o pass_n then_o will_v the_o soul_n lie_v down_o at_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o acknowledge_v that_o if_o the_o lord_n will_v never_o show_v he_o mercy_n just_a and_o righteous_a be_v his_o judgement_n now_o when_o the_o soul_n and_o will_n of_o a_o christian_a be_v convince_v of_o these_o thing_n as_o well_o as_o his_o judgement_n that_o now_o he_o wait_v upon_o christ_n as_o well_o that_o he_o may_v be_v able_a to_o wait_v and_o seek_v the_o lord_n as_o he_o do_v for_o any_o other_o good_a thing_n from_o the_o lord_n he_o wait_v now_o upon_o the_o lord_n for_o a_o poor_a spirit_n and_o can_v perk_v up_o himself_o as_o a_o bruise_a reed_n can_v do_v thus_o when_o it_o come_v unto_o saving-work_n the_o will_n and_o soul_n of_o a_o man_n be_v so_o cast_v down_o that_o a_o man_n can_v tell_v what_o to_o make_v of_o himself_o but_o there_o he_o lie_v to_o see_v what_o the_o lord_n will_v do_v with_o he_o whether_o he_o will_v reach_v forth_o the_o hand_n of_o salvation_n unto_o he_o in_o this_o case_n the_o soul_n
find_v that_o difference_n which_o tend_v unto_o the_o discern_a of_o grace_n will_v be_v of_o much_o less_o dangerous_a consequence_n than_o the_o other_o for_o thereupon_o lie_v the_o very_a foundation_n of_o a_o christian_a man_n safe_a estate_n how_o far_o there_o be_v difference_n in_o the_o country_n i_o can_v give_v a_o account_n but_o i_o desire_v that_o you_o may_v all_o understand_v what_o i_o say_v if_o you_o demand_v quest_n 1_o upon_o what_o ground_n come_v the_o soul_n to_o close_v with_o christ_n aright_o whether_o upon_o a_o conditional_a or_o upon_o a_o absolute_a promise_n and_o be_v they_o not_o both_o free_a i_o answer_v answ_n it_o be_v true_a they_o be_v both_o free_a but_o when_o god_n be_v say_v to_o do_v any_o thing_n to_o a_o work_n as_o to_o apply_v a_o promise_n to_o a_o work_n it_o be_v not_o so_o proper_o say_v to_o be_v a_o promise_n of_o grace_n but_o i_o will_v not_o enter_v into_o dispute_n this_o you_o will_v find_v to_o be_v true_a that_o take_v a_o soul_n that_o be_v in_o union_n with_o christ_n and_o apply_v all_o the_o promise_n to_o he_o he_o will_v make_v you_o this_o answer_n before_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n come_v into_o he_o he_o be_v clear_a in_o this_o that_o there_o be_v none_o of_o all_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n belong_v unto_o he_o till_o the_o lord_n who_o have_v break_v he_o do_v bind_v he_o up_o again_o for_o his_o heart_n will_v tell_v you_o that_o his_o duty_n and_o reformation_n have_v be_v such_o as_o have_v keep_v he_o from_o christ_n you_o will_v say_v i_o hope_v you_o trust_v upon_o christ_n ay_o will_v he_o say_v with_o that_o faith_n by_o which_o i_o trust_v upon_o work_n before_o if_o you_o tell_v he_o of_o promise_n make_v to_o faith_n he_o will_v say_v but_o not_o to_o i_o that_o have_v only_o spring_v from_o my_o own_o reformation_n consider_v all_o you_o that_o search_v the_o word_n of_o god_n this_o day_n when_o the_o soul_n come_v to_o deny_v that_o it_o have_v true_a faith_n what_o promise_n can_v it_o apply_v unto_o that_o which_o it_o deni_v itself_o to_o have_v a_o soul_n will_v be_v ready_a to_o refuse_v promise_n even_o when_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n have_v take_v possession_n but_o than_o it_o be_v his_o sin_n yet_o all_o the_o time_n before_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n but_o that_o the_o soul_n shall_v refuse_v to_o apply_v promise_n when_o there_o be_v nothing_o but_o a_o power_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o reformation_n and_o till_o we_o be_v cut_v off_o from_o the_o old_a adam_n we_o shall_v be_v ready_a to_o quarrel_v and_o snarl_v that_o the_o lord_n shall_v deal_v thus_o with_o we_o and_o why_o do_v he_o suffer_v adam_n to_o fall_v and_o put_v upon_o we_o such_o a_o law_n to_o obey_v and_o then_o condemn_v we_o for_o that_o which_o we_o be_v never_o able_a to_o perform_v true_o there_o be_v nothing_o to_o help_v in_o this_o case_n but_o the_o lord_n will_v take_v away_o thy_o crabbed_a spirit_n he_o will_v make_v thou_o to_o lie_v flat_a at_o his_o foot_n and_o to_o say_v if_o he_o will_v kill_v i_o here_o i_o be_o and_o if_o he_o will_v save_v thou_o he_o will_v make_v thou_o content_a to_o receive_v all_o from_o christ_n and_o to_o be_v willing_a that_o he_o shall_v do_v with_o thou_o that_o which_o be_v good_a in_o his_o own_o eye_n and_o what_o can_v help_v a_o soul_n now_o but_o only_o a_o absolute_a promise_n whereby_o the_o soul_n be_v raise_v to_o look_v to_o the_o name_n of_o that_o christ_n who_o he_o have_v all_o this_o while_n blaspheme_v and_o persecute_v thus_o we_o see_v
