then_o without_o it_o so_o the_o man_n that_o attend_v unto_o piety_n which_o to_o he_o be_v a_o dark_a place_n in_o as_o much_o as_o humane_a reason_n and_o wisdom_n do_v rather_o do_v he_o harm_n then_o good_a in_o it_o stand_v better_a with_o the_o holy_a scripture_n then_o without_o it_o the_o second_o thing_n which_o i_o consider_v be_v that_o as_o a_o man_n in_o a_o dark_a place_n see_v not_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v therein_o so_o clear_o and_o manifest_o with_o a_o candle_n as_o he_o may_v see_v they_o with_o the_o sun_n so_o a_o man_n that_o attend_v unto_o piety_n do_v not_o understand_v nor_o know_v the_o thing_n of_o god_n nor_o god_n himself_o so_o clear_o and_o manifest_o with_o holy_a scripture_n as_o he_o may_v see_v and_o know_v they_o with_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n the_o three_o thing_n which_o i_o consider_v be_v that_o as_o a_o man_n set_v in_o a_o dark_a place_n with_o the_o light_n of_o the_o candle_n only_o stand_v in_o danger_n to_o remain_v in_o the_o dark_a any_o occasion_n happen_v to_o extinguish_v the_o candle_n so_o the_o man_n who_o attend_v unto_o piety_n have_v no_o other_o light_n than_o that_o of_o holy_a scripture_n stand_v in_o danger_n to_o remain_v without_o light_n there_o come_v any_o occasion_n that_o may_v deprive_v he_o of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n or_o of_o the_o true_a understanding_n thereof_o the_o four_o thing_n which_o i_o consider_v be_v that_o as_o it_o sometime_o befall_v a_o man_n set_v in_o a_o dark_a place_n where_o the_o light_n of_o the_o candle_n be_v that_o be_v desirous_a it_o shall_v give_v understand_v more_o or_o better_a in_o it_o or_o by_o it_o either_o he_o himself_o interpret_v it_o or_o seek_v some_o to_o interpret_v it_o to_o he_o and_o in_o interpret_n it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o of_o holy_a scripture_n make_v it_o humane_a scripture_n a_o man_n remain_v in_o the_o dark_a albeit_o he_o do_v not_o so_o persuade_v himself_o the_o five_o thing_n which_o i_o consider_v be_v that_o as_o on_o the_o sunbeam_n entrance_n into_o a_o obscure_a place_n where_o a_o man_n serve_v himself_o of_o the_o light_n of_o a_o candle_n it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o a_o man_n see_v more_o clear_o than_o before_o all_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v in_o that_o place_n the_o candle_n remain_v as_o it_o be_v without_o light_n and_o without_o splendour_n in_o such_o manner_n that_o now_o a_o man_n be_v desirous_a to_o see_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v in_o that_o place_n that_o which_o he_o least_o look_v upon_o be_v the_o candle_n so_o the_o holy_a spirit_n enter_v into_o the_o mind_n of_o a_o man_n that_o attend_v unto_o piety_n serve_v himself_o of_o the_o scripture_n to_o that_o intent_n it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o a_o man_n understand_v &_o know_v the_o thing_n of_o god_n and_o god_n himself_o more_o clear_o than_o he_o do_v before_o the_o holy_a scripture_n remain_v in_o as_o much_o as_o to_o he_o ward_n as_o it_o be_v without_o light_n and_o without_o splendour_n in_o certain_o know_v that_o it_o will_v not_o fail_v he_o albeit_o he_o will_v not_o cast_v away_o the_o candle_n for_o the_o benefit_n receive_v but_o will_v rather_o leave_v it_o to_o the_o intent_n it_o may_v serve_v another_o to_o that_o purpose_n which_o it_o have_v serve_v he_o and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o will_v not_o serve_v himself_o thereof_o in_o that_o which_o he_o do_v before_o
