to_o we_o to_o give_v we_o strength_n to_o enable_v we_o to_o do_v the_o duty_n he_o command_v we_o and_o to_o abstain_v from_o the_o evil_n he_o will_v not_o have_v we_o to_o do_v but_o we_o must_v keep_v his_o ordinance_n and_o go_v by_o his_o rule_n and_o if_o we_o fail_v in_o either_o of_o they_o that_o we_o neglect_v the_o mean_n or_o adventure_v upon_o the_o occasion_n now_o the_o lord_n be_v discharge_v of_o his_o promise_n as_o we_o may_v so_o say_v the_o lord_n now_o withdraw_v his_o power_n from_o we_o as_o he_o do_v from_o samson_n if_o you_o will_v needs_o marry_v with_o such_o a_o people_n say_v the_o lord_n they_o shall_v turn_v away_o your_o heart_n for_o now_o i_o will_v not_o keep_v you_o if_o you_o will_v needs_o touch_v that_o tree_n if_o you_o will_v needs_o go_v into_o such_o a_o company_n if_o you_o will_v needs_o gaze_v upon_o such_o object_n or_o if_o again_o you_o will_v neglect_v prayer_n and_o hear_v and_o sanctify_v the_o sabbath_n if_o you_o will_v second_o answ._n consider_v with_o thyself_o that_o the_o lord_n do_v this_o to_o humble_v thou_o it_o may_v be_v he_o be_v as_o willing_a to_o be_v bestow_v a_o great_a measure_n of_o grace_n us._n time_n suffer_v we_o to_o see_v change_n in_o our_o life_n &_o conversation_n better_a that_o by_o they_o we_o may_v learn_v to_o know_v he_o better_o and_o ourselves_o also_o if_o we_o be_v able_a to_o do_v it_o by_o ourselves_o the_o lord_n will_v spare_v we_o but_o who_o be_v able_a to_o do_v it_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o psalm_n that_o therefore_o the_o wicked_a fear_v not_o god_n because_o they_o have_v no_o change_n and_o true_o even_o the_o godly_a man_n if_o they_o have_v no_o change_n they_o will_v fear_v he_o less_o so_o that_o every_o change_n in_o a_o man_n state_n and_o the_o fall_n into_o sin_n and_o the_o rise_n again_o lead_v a_o man_n to_o some_o new_a knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o of_o himself_o also_o to_o a_o new_a experimental_a knowledge_n and_o that_o knowledge_n lead_v he_o to_o a_o new_a degree_n of_o fear_n so_o that_o still_o by_o their_o sin_n they_o get_v advantage_n that_o they_o shall_v find_v in_o their_o spiritual_a estate_n for_o even_o as_o we_o see_v the_o sun_n when_o it_o break_v out_o of_o a_o thick_a cloud_n of_o darkness_n it_o shine_v the_o bright_a so_o grace_v when_o it_o break_v out_o of_o a_o thick_a cloud_n of_o sin_n or_o of_o temptation_n it_o shine_v the_o bright_a we_o be_v still_o gainer_n by_o those_o change_n i_o say_v we_o learn_v to_o know_v god_n and_o ourselves_o also_o the_o better_a and_o for_o these_o rebuke_v and_o recall_v they_o they_o be_v at_o his_o command_n as_o it_o be_v say_v of_o the_o disease_n of_o the_o body_n they_o be_v like_o the_o centurion_n servant_n if_o he_o bid_v one_o go_v he_o go_v if_o he_o bid_v another_o come_v he_o come_v so_o it_o be_v true_a of_o the_o disease_n of_o the_o soul_n if_o he_o say_v to_o such_o a_o messenger_n as_o paul_n have_v to_o such_o a_o rebellion_n against_o it_o i_o say_v this_o keep_v man_n off_o from_o the_o life_n of_o god_n but_o on_o the_o other_o side_n when_o a_o man_n look_v upon_o the_o promise_n he_o begin_v to_o see_v the_o covenant_n that_o his_o sin_n shall_v be_v put_v a_o way_n he_o begin_v to_o see_v the_o goodness_n and_o the_o mercy_n and_o the_o tender_a compassion_n of_o god_n towards_o he_o he_o begin_v thing_n that_o be_v wholesome_a seem_v bitter_a to_o he_o so_o in_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n there_o may_v be_v sometime_o much_o imperfection_n admit_v when_o a_o man_n be_v in_o the_o mist_n when_o he_o be_v in_o the_o fit_a when_o some_o distemper_n some_o passion_n or_o affection_n have_v overcast_v and_o overcloud_v the_o soul_n as_o it_o be_v and_o possess_v he_o pallate_n make_v of_o this_o from_o this_o description_n of_o the_o covenant_n be_v to_o learn_v to_o know_v the_o ground_n upon_o which_o we_o expect_v salvation_n and_o the_o fulfil_n of_o all_o the_o
