although_o the_o 25._o verse_n of_o the_o same_o chap._n which_o e._n g._n himself_o allow_v to_o be_v speak_v of_o paul_n a_o regenerate_a man_n must_v necessary_o enforce_v it_o when_o as_o the_o in_o you_o â—_o same_o verse_n if_o your_o eye_n have_v not_o dazzle_v you_o may_v have_v see_v that_o the_o apostle_n after_o his_o thanks_n give_v for_o his_o deliverance_n from_o the_o danger_n of_o that_o same_o body_n of_o death_n against_o which_o he_o have_v exclame_v confess_v that_o even_o then_o as_o touch_v his_o mind_n he_o serve_v the_o law_n of_o god_n but_o in_o his_o flesh_n the_o law_n of_o sin_n which_o place_n be_v as_o clear_a as_o the_o sunshine_n not_o only_o to_o show_v the_o falsehood_n of_o your_o first_o reason_n against_o our_o interpretation_n of_o the_o 7._o to_o the_o rom._n but_o also_o to_o prove_v so_o your_o great_a shame_n the_o truth_n of_o the_o general_a assertion_n aforesaid_a namely_o that_o the_o regenerate_v be_v not_o free_a from_o sin_n yet_o these_o be_v not_o all_o the_o foil_n you_o receive_v by_o it_o for_o it_o cut_v likewise_o the_o throat_n of_o your_o second_o reason_n before_o it_o have_v time_n to_o draw_v one_o breath_n of_o life_n for_o where_o you_o say_v therefore_o after_o this_o he_o thank_v god_n in_o christ_n that_o he_o be_v deliver_v from_o that_o body_n of_o sin_n which_o make_v he_o to_o do_v that_o evil_a he_o will_v not_o and_o to_o leave_v undo_v the_o good_a he_o will_v you_o will_v make_v we_o believe_v that_o paul_n in_o this_o place_n be_v a_o change_a man_n so_o as_o he_o can_v no_o more_o sin_n know_v not_o how_o they_o have_v be_v this_o way_n abuse_v beside_o it_o be_v not_o comuenient_a in_o cite_v of_o scripture_n to_o sow_v any_o piece_n of_o our_o own_o into_o it_o without_o put_v some_o partition_n wall_n betwixt_o or_o bring_v in_o the_o servant_n in_o some_o differ_a weed_n from_o his_o master_n that_o the_o one_o be_v not_o take_v for_o the_o other_o of_o the_o comer_n in_o interpretation_n of_o the_o 17._o verse_n which_o be_v the_o question_n be_v therefore_o idle_o here_o bring_v in_o of_o e._n g._n to_o fill_v up_o room_n as_o for_o the_o end_n of_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o flesh_n there_o set_v down_o to_o wit_n that_o adulterer_n idolater_n drunkard_n glutton_n etc._n etc._n shall_v not_o be_v heir_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n it_o have_v be_v of_o our_o part_n so_o firm_o always_o believe_v and_o teach_v that_o the_o church_n of_o god_n never_o need_v the_o life_n of_o e._n g._n nor_o of_o any_o such_o tumultuous_a spirit_n on_o this_o blasmous_a manner_n to_o urge_v it_o thus_o have_v gain_v this_o place_n also_o to_o our_o cause_n the_o proud_a build_n of_o free_a will_n and_o anabaptistical_n holiness_n which_o he_o foolish_o raise_v thereupon_o be_v fall_v and_o there_o appear_v therein_o foundation_n for_o nothing_o else_o but_o the_o humble_a habitation_n of_o god_n child_n not_o only_o outward_o lay_v at_o with_o the_o storm_n of_o worldly_a calamity_n but_o most_o of_o all_o inwardlie_o assail_v with_o the_o buffet_n temptation_n of_o satan_n and_o rebeilious_a affection_n of_o onr_n own_o remain_a nature_n as_o that_o although_o we_o watch_v and_o labour_n against_o they_o all_o the_o day_n of_o our_o life_n yet_o shall_v we_o be_v never_o in_o this_o life_n utterlie_o rid_v of_o they_o nor_o yet_o in_o god_n which_o i_o can_v not_o think_v he_o do_v as_o have_v receive_v it_o either_o by_o speech_n or_o write_v from_o any_o of_o account_n on_o our_o side_n but_o because_o the_o adamant_n rock_n of_o free_a will_n and_o man_n ability_n have_v such_o power_n to_o work_v his_o shipwreck_n and_o therefore_o he_o labour_v not_o only_o to_o overthrow_v our_o suppose_a opinion_n of_o the_o inner_a man_n but_o also_o above_o all_o to_o establish_v the_o natural_a man_n with_o as_o many_o prerogative_n as_o we_o give_v the_o regenerate_a man_n concern_v a_o sanctify_a life_n that_o so_o by_o that_o mean_n his_o regenerate_a man_n may_v sit_v above_o the_o star_n &_o attain_v to_o that_o in_o this_o life_n which_o we_o have_v no_o promise_n for_o but_o in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v in_o answer_v whereunto_o i_o hope_v many_o word_n will_v not_o be_v look_v for_o though_o he_o in_o this_o point_n be_v large_a than_o ordinary_a partly_o because_o i_o may_v not_o follow_v his_o humour_n where_o more_o watchful_a as_o hereafter_o more_o large_o now_o where_o he_o say_v the_o old_a man_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o wicked_a conversation_n and_o life_n of_o the_o natural_a man_n his_o breath_n be_v rank_n of_o pelagian_n free_a will_n while_o hereby_o he_o insinuatety_n yea_o and_o the_o law_n of_o contrary_n constrain_v he_o to_o say_v that_o the_o new_a man_n be_v the_o new_a and_o godly_a conversation_n of_o the_o natural_a man_n which_o though_o it_o be_v a_o absurdity_n hateful_a enough_o to_o all_o that_o be_v but_o mean_o exercise_v in_o the_o scripture_n that_o the_o natural_a man_n shall_v thus_o be_v adorn_v with_o free_a will_n yet_o it_o be_v so_o much_o more_o foul_a and_o odious_a in_o this_o man_n as_o that_o he_o give_v the_o natural_a man_n in_o this_o place_n by_o consequence_n of_o the_o opposition_n some_o power_n both_o of_o willing_a and_o do_v good_a and_o again_o within_o the_o space_n of_o two_o leaf_n follow_v spoil_v he_o of_o the_o answer_v never_o 7._o a_o word_n but_o to_o this_o text_n of_o the_o corinth_n he_o oppose_v a_o place_n of_o the_o roman_n where_o the_o natural_a 13._o man_n be_v say_v to_o have_v the_o law_n have_v the_o plague_n add_v unto_o 18._o he_o mention_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n yet_o e._n g._n in_o reconcile_a these_o place_n deliver_v his_o own_o sense_n without_o testimony_n of_o other_o to_o wit_n because_o they_o have_v a_o spiritual_a understanding_n in_o they_o which_o the_o natural_a man_n can_v not_o reach_v unto_o now_o if_o e.g._n sense_n stand_v that_o the_o natural_a man_n have_v the_o same_o knowledge_n with_o the_o regenerate_a man_n then_o be_v the_o apostle_n reason_n quite_o overthrow_v therefore_o it_o appear_v that_o e.g._n have_v here_o reconcile_v no_o place_n at_o all_o and_o now_o that_o his_o foil_n be_v apparent_a in_o this_o i_o will_v proceed_v to_o buckle_v with_o he_o in_o the_o next_o you_o know_v he_o promise_v to_o show_v what_o difference_n the_o holy_a ghost_n make_v between_o the_o inward_a man_n of_o the_o good_a and_o the_o inward_a man_n of_o the_o bad_a let_v we_o attend_v unto_o he_o though_o he_o have_v thereby_o enlarge_v his_o question_n from_o the_o natural_a man_n to_o the_o unregenerate_a the_o difference_n he_o put_v thus_o that_o whereas_o the_o unregenerate_a man_n mislike_v evil_a and_o desirous_a to_o will_n and_o he_o all_o this_o while_n be_v busy_o blew_v in_o the_o face_n of_o his_o natural_a man_n to_o fill_v he_o as_o full_a of_o a_o inner_a man_n as_o he_o can_v but_o now_o when_o we_o come_v to_o try_v he_o by_o his_o speech_n he_o say_v he_o will_v both_o will_n &_o do_v but_o he_o have_v no_o strength_n either_o to_o will_v or_o do_v whereas_o 15._o the_o regenerate_a man_n in_o a_o true_a measure_n will_v to_o do_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n in_o the_o perfect_a manner_n so_o that_o we_o see_v this_o be_v but_o a_o rash_a ephraimite_n who_o stammer_o pronounce_v sibole_v 6._o for_o shibole_v therefore_o he_o must_v needs_o have_v here_o the_o reward_n of_o a_o conquer_a ephraimite_n that_o henceforth_o we_o be_v trouble_v no_o more_o with_o he_o well_o though_o he_o have_v thus_o overthrow_v his_o own_o purpose_n for_o his_o natural_a and_o unregenerate_a man_n yet_o he_o mind_v to_o make_v up_o his_o loss_n in_o the_o gift_n of_o the_o regenerate_a person_n for_o if_o he_o may_v once_o furnish_v he_o thorough_o with_o free_a will_n he_o will_v soon_o prove_v that_o paul_n be_v not_o regenerate_v man_n when_o he_o can_v not_o do_v the_o good_a he_o will_v his_o not_o the_o servant_n of_o righteousness_n or_o of_o christ_n but_o the_o servant_n of_o sin_n and_o of_o the_o devil_n which_o commit_v sin_n with_o his_o member_n and_o so_o serve_v and_o obey_v the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n until_o that_o christ_n have_v so_o loose_v the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n in_o he_o that_o he_o sin_v not_o these_o two_o place_n set_v together_o show_v his_o meaning_n to_o be_v as_o i_o have_v say_v now_o be_v the_o regenerate_a man_n not_o only_o a_o mighty_a warrior_n but_o a_o sovereign_a king_n this_o latter_a place_n have_v clothe_v he_o with_o the_o robe_n of_o perfection_n and_o the_o former_a put_v the_o crown_n of_o fréewill_a upon_o his_o head_n why_o shall_v we_o not_o now_o make_v haste_n to_o salute_v he_o say_v all_o hail_n victorious_a king_n but_o soft_a that_o be_v a_o matter_n not_o so_o safe_a as_o you_o take_v it_o experience_n tell_v we_o that_o if_o there_o be_v a_o prince_n set_v up_o without_o right_n not_o only_o he_o and_o his_o proclaymer_n but_o all_o other_o likewise_o that_o congratulate_v and_o be_v know_v to_o ratify_v he_o with_o their_o voice_n be_v in_o little_a better_a case_n than_o traitor_n and_o so_o be_v esteem_v and_o reward_v and_o if_o the_o terror_n be_v so_o great_a in_o worldly_a case_n what_o be_v we_o to_o fear_v in_o heavenly_a matter_n y_fw-fr â—_o lord_n our_o god_n be_v king_n of_o king_n and_o a_o jealous_a god_n it_o be_v best_a therefore_o before_o we_o salute_v he_o king_n to_o inquire_v of_o his_o right_n this_o must_v he_o have_v either_o in_o himself_o or_o from_o another_o that_o have_v power_n to_o give_v it_o he_o that_o he_o have_v any_o such_o right_n in_o himself_o by_o all_o the_o grace_n of_o his_o regeneration_n the_o scripture_n every_o where_o deni_v as_o have_v be_v hither_o to_o prove_v and_o here_o i_o say_v moreover_o if_o the_o regenerate_v shall_v have_v such_o power_n and_o perfection_n in_o this_o life_n he_o must_v either_o have_v it_o at_o his_o new_a birth_n or_o else_o short_o after_o it_o so_o as_o there_o may_v be_v a_o manifest_a season_n wherein_o he_o may_v appear_v by_o his_o action_n to_o be_v even_o such_o a_o one_o
