single_a combat_n with_o death_n itself_o for_o than_o he_o will_v lay_v their_o sin_n before_o they_o with_o all_o the_o aggravation_n that_o may_v be_v and_o he_o will_v labour_v to_o hide_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n from_o they_o that_o they_o may_v have_v no_o hope_n or_o comfort_n to_o support_v they_o in_o this_o great_a conflict_n which_o do_v put_v they_o into_o trouble_n of_o mind_n grief_n of_o heart_n and_o anguish_n of_o spirit_n and_o it_o be_v more_o uncomfortable_a and_o unpleasing_a to_o their_o spiritual_a taste_n than_o any_o vinegar_n can_v be_v to_o the_o palate_n then_o be_v the_o time_n when_o the_o devil_n be_v most_o malicious_o bend_v against_o they_o than_o do_v he_o bestir_v himself_o to_o trouble_v the_o peace_n of_o their_o conscience_n to_o disquiet_v the_o tranquillity_n of_o their_o mind_n and_o to_o keep_v they_o from_o the_o assurance_n of_o the_o love_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n to_o they_o in_o christ_n that_o they_o shall_v not_o comfortable_o resign_v up_o their_o soul_n unto_o god_n he_o will_v affright_v they_o with_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n with_o the_o greatness_n of_o their_o sin_n with_o the_o hypocrisy_n of_o their_o heart_n with_o their_o infidelity_n and_o unbelief_n he_o will_v labour_v to_o keep_v the_o gracious_a promise_n of_o god_n from_o they_o or_o else_o to_o persuade_v they_o that_o they_o belong_v not_o unto_o they_o that_o so_o they_o shall_v have_v no_o comfortable_a assurance_n of_o the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n also_o he_o will_v terrify_v they_o with_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n justice_n and_o with_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o dreadful_a day_n of_o judgement_n if_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o drive_v they_o into_o despair_n but_o here_o be_v comfort_n for_o a_o poor_a sinner_n that_o it_o be_v thus_o assault_v by_o the_o devil_n when_o he_o be_v near_o his_o departure_n out_o of_o this_o life_n or_o at_o any_o other_o time_n that_o christ_n have_v sanctify_v all_o these_o sorrow_n and_o conflict_n to_o he_o and_o he_o will_v confirm_v his_o faith_n and_o establish_v his_o hope_n upon_o his_o true_a humiliation_n for_o his_o sin_n and_o then_o those_o fear_n and_o doubt_n will_v vanish_v away_o for_o he_o know_v that_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o resist_v such_o temptation_n and_o the_o weakness_n of_o our_o spirit_n and_o of_o body_n be_v such_o that_o we_o can_v withstand_v such_o strong_a assault_n and_o therefore_o christ_n will_v give_v most_o strength_n to_o our_o inward_a man_n when_o the_o outward_a man_n be_v most_o weak_a and_o he_o will_v most_o weaken_v the_o power_n of_o the_o devil_n when_o his_o malice_n be_v strong_a to_o do_v we_o hurt_v and_o though_o we_o may_v be_v dangerous_o foil_v in_o these_o spiritual_a combat_n yet_o christ_n will_v uphold_v our_o faith_n he_o will_v give_v we_o spiritual_a consolation_n and_o will_v speak_v peace_n to_o our_o soul_n and_o conscience_n when_o through_o weakness_n of_o body_n we_o can_v express_v the_o joy_n and_o comfort_n of_o it_o five_o before_o we_o can_v willing_o leave_v this_o world_n we_o must_v be_v well_o persuade_v that_o we_o shall_v enjoy_v a_o better_a habitation_n in_o the_o world_n
