persuade_v the_o heart_n of_o for_o faith_n judge_v not_o of_o thing_n by_o sense_n or_o outward_a appearance_n but_o as_o the_o truth_n be_v in_o jesus_n christ_n justify_v the_o lord_n in_o all_o his_o way_n always_o magnify_v the_o wise_a and_o holy_a proceed_n of_o our_o good_a god_n as_o the_o only_o best_a and_o most_o profitable_a for_o we_o it_o be_v only_o the_o apprehension_n of_o some_o loss_n the_o fear_n of_o some_o evil_n or_o the_o sense_n of_o god_n wrath_n and_o displeasure_n in_o our_o affliction_n which_o make_v the_o heart_n so_o sad_a and_o the_o spirit_n so_o lumpish_a in_o the_o time_n of_o affliction_n then_o set_v thy_o faith_n on_o work_n and_o it_o will_v blow_v over_o all_o these_o cloud_n it_o will_v answer_v all_o carnal_a doubt_n and_o reason_n and_o so_o settle_v the_o heart_n in_o a_o constant_a persuasion_n of_o god_n love_n that_o we_o shall_v rejoice_v and_o be_v thankful_a for_o our_o affliction_n because_o we_o know_v and_o believe_v that_o god_n in_o afflict_v of_o we_o love_v we_o and_o to_o put_v the_o matter_n out_o of_o all_o doubt_v i_o will_v lay_v down_o a_o few_o but_o sure_a and_o certain_a evidence_n of_o god_n love_n in_o correct_v of_o we_o do_v thou_o desire_v to_o know_v whether_o god_n in_o afflict_v of_o thou_o love_v thou_o love_n whether_o his_o stripe_n be_v the_o blow_n of_o a_o enemy_n or_o the_o chastisement_n of_o a_o love_a father_n thou_o may_v know_v it_o by_o these_o token_n first_o when_o god_n give_v thou_o a_o heart_n to_o be_v content_v and_o a_o mind_n to_o be_v willing_a to_o bear_v whatsoever_o he_o shall_v lay_v upon_o thou_o and_o to_o want_v whatsoever_o thou_o see_v the_o lord_n be_v not_o willing_a thou_o shall_v enjoy_v he_o that_o do_v not_o rest_v content_a with_o the_o love_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n in_o the_o want_n of_o outward_a yea_o the_o best_a of_o outward_a thing_n do_v not_o right_o prize_v the_o love_n of_o god_n in_o that_o the_o want_n of_o other_o thing_n do_v more_o affect_v he_o and_o take_v up_o his_o mind_n than_o the_o consideration_n of_o god_n love_n and_o he_o more_o discontent_a in_o the_o miss_n of_o the_o one_o then_o content_v with_o the_o possession_n of_o the_o other_o he_o that_o can_v be_v content_a to_o part_v with_o any_o earthly_a benefit_n when_o god_n shall_v call_v for_o it_o it_o be_v to_o
