diligence_n to_o make_v their_o own_o oh_o what_o a_o happiness_n be_v it_o for_o christian_n to_o have_v this_o threefold_a witness_n in_o themselves_o in_o the_o mouth_n of_o two_o or_o three_o witness_n shall_v every_o word_n be_v establish_v 1._o here_o be_v three_o witness_n beyond_o exception_n a_o christian_a have_v this_o threesold_a witness_n in_o himself_o in_o the_o poor_a outward_a pollution_n of_o sin_n do_v not_o forsake_v your_o own_o mercy_n and_o neglect_n so_o great_a salvation_n it_o be_v sad_a that_o when_o such_o a_o precious_a fountain_n be_v open_v so_o few_o be_v wash_v and_o cleanse_v thus_o much_o concern_v the_o ceremonial_a law_n to_o show_v how_o and_o in_o what_o respect_v it_o be_v establish_v by_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n chap._n vii_o there_o be_v two_o other_o law_n mention_v by_o the_o apostle_n in_o the_o former_a part_n of_o this_o epistle_n by_o neither_o of_o which_o man_n can_v be_v justify_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n one_o be_v the_o law_n of_o nature_n the_o other_o be_v the_o moral_a law_n write_v and_o deliver_v in_o the_o scripture_n it_o be_v needful_a for_o the_o apostle_n to_o speak_v distinct_o of_o both_o these_o for_o 1._o his_o great_a design_n be_v to_o make_v know_v the_o only_a way_n whereby_o man_n may_v be_v justify_v and_o accept_v as_o righteous_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n the_o righteous_a judge_n of_o all_o the_o world_n that_o so_o they_o may_v be_v everlasting_o bless_v and_o
the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n but_o that_o be_v do_v without_o the_o least_o prejudice_n to_o the_o force_n and_o authority_n of_o the_o law_n because_o himself_o do_v bear_v the_o curse_n in_o his_o own_o person_n and_o so_o he_o do_v both_o save_v his_o people_n from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n and_o yet_o full_o satisfy_v the_o law_n but_o herein_o do_v christ_n put_v a_o high_a degree_n of_o honour_n upon_o the_o law_n that_o though_o he_o have_v make_v full_a satisfaction_n to_o the_o law_n in_o behalf_n of_o his_o people_n yet_o he_o will_v have_v the_o law_n to_o remain_v as_o a_o directory_n and_o rule_n of_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n for_o those_o that_o be_v appoint_v heiâ—s_n of_o salvation_n he_o have_v make_v the_o law_n a_o rule_n for_o the_o order_n of_o his_o royal_a family_n of_o his_o spiritual_a kingdom_n the_o lord_n christ_n have_v exalt_v the_o law_n to_o a_o great_a height_n of_o dignity_n in_o that_o himself_o be_v the_o lawgiver_n and_o have_v unite_a believer_n to_o himself_o by_o his_o spirit_n and_o rule_v in_o their_o heart_n by_o his_o grace_n yet_o require_v they_o to_o attend_v to_o the_o law_n as_o the_o rule_n by_o which_o they_o shall_v regulate_v and_o order_v their_o heart_n and_o way_n the_o use_n of_o this_o may_v be_v first_o to_o show_v the_o error_n of_o those_o who_o seem_v to_o deny_v the_o use_n of_o the_o law_n for_o believer_n in_o any_o kind_n as_o if_o they_o be_v to_o bring_v they_o in_o bondage_n under_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n how_o usual_a be_v it_o with_o man_n to_o mistake_v the_o meaning_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n and_o in_o special_a to_o take_v those_o thing_n as_o absolute_o mean_v which_o be_v to_o be_v understand_v only_o in_o some_o respect_n so_o in_o this_o case_n because_o the_o scripture_n show_v that_o christian_n be_v not_o under_o the_o law_n therefore_o they_o seem_v to_o say_v they_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o the_o law_n and_o that_o the_o law_n have_v not_o any_o thing_n to_o do_v with_o they_o but_o though_o they_o be_v free_a from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n yet_o the_o law_n be_v still_o of_o great_a use_n to_o they_o to_o guide_v they_o in_o such_o a_o course_n of_o holy_a obedience_n wherein_o they_o be_v to_o glorify_v god_n 19_o and_o to_o walk_v worthy_a of_o the_o lord_n to_o all_o please_a the_o apostle_n i_o conceive_v speak_v of_o such_o licentious_a libertine_n and_o antinomian_a teacher_n who_o when_o they_o speak_v great_a swell_a word_n of_o vanity_n they_o allure_v through_o the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n through_o
