because_o i_o ask_v they_o of_o thou_o so_o unworthy_o so_o that_o i_o may_v with_o humble_a boldness_n pray_v lord_n give_v i_o what_o be_v only_o best_a for_o i_o though_o i_o ask_v it_o not_o and_o give_v i_o not_o what_o be_v evil_a for_o i_o though_o i_o ask_v it_o but_o thou_o be_v from_o everlasting_a to_o everlasting_a holy_a and_o just_a and_o good_a and_o thy_o mercy_n be_v above_o all_o humble_o pray_v wisdom_n which_o be_v about_o thy_o throne_n for_o all_o wisdom_n be_v from_o thy_o gracious_a gift_n that_o so_o i_o may_v right_o understand_v earthly_a thing_n from_o heavenly_a thing_n time_n from_o eternity_n and_o gracious_o give_v i_o the_o will_n and_o deed_n to_o lay_v up_o my_o treasure_n in_o heaven_n and_o not_o on_o earth_n and_o i_o most_o humble_o crave_v of_o thy_o sacred_a goodness_n the_o unresistible_a power_n of_o thy_o holy_a spirit_n that_o thereby_o i_o may_v be_v build_v up_o and_o make_v perfect_a to_o every_o good_a work_n to_o the_o true_a and_o perfect_a serve_v of_o thou_o my_o good_a god_n and_o to_o the_o work_a righteousness_n as_o thy_o elect_a saint_n by_o the_o powerful_a and_o unresistible_a guidance_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n do_v and_o aught_o to_o do_v both_o for_o and_o in_o their_o time_n and_o their_o eternity_n and_o o_o my_o good_a god_n because_o many_o be_v the_o controversy_n and_o dispute_n concern_v thou_o thy_o word_n thy_o truth_n among_o poor_a mortality_n to_o the_o great_a destruction_n fear_n and_o trouble_v of_o thy_o poor_a willing_a and_o desire_v servant_n let_v thy_o sacred_a spirit_n o_o my_o god_n speak_v the_o truth_n of_o thy_o will_n and_o of_o my_o duty_n to_o my_o conscience_n and_o then_o give_v i_o grace_n and_o strength_n to_o follow_v my_o conscience_n in_o the_o sacred_a way_n of_o thy_o holy_a spirit_n that_o so_o i_o may_v keep_v a_o good_a conscience_n towards_o thou_o my_o god_n and_o towards_o man_n and_o i_o humble_o pray_v that_o thy_o gracious_a spirit_n may_v also_o reveal_v unto_o my_o soul_n what_o righteousness_n and_o what_o unrighteousness_n be_v what_o be_v truth_n and_o what_o be_v error_n what_o be_v the_o perfect_a duty_n of_o thy_o servant_n in_o all_o the_o passage_n of_o his_o pilgrimage_n under_o the_o sun_n and_o what_o be_v not_o the_o duty_n of_o thy_o servant_n to_o do_v that_o so_o i_o may_v not_o only_o perform_v unto_o thy_o sacred_a majesty_n my_o present_a duty_n in_o thy_o bless_a service_n but_o that_o i_o may_v do_v it_o know_o willing_o and_o witting_o and_o that_o i_o may_v not_o only_o avoid_v all_o the_o appearance_n of_o evil_a but_o that_o i_o may_v do_v it_o also_o know_o willing_o and_o witting_o as_o become_v the_o most_o faithful_a and_o perfect_a servant_n of_o my_o creator_n o_o give_v unto_o thy_o servant_n a_o discern_a spirit_n enable_v he_o perfect_o o_o my_o god_n to_o know_v good_a from_o evil_n and_o then_o give_v he_o grace_n and_o strength_n to_o do_v the_o good_a and_o avoid_v the_o evil_a as_o become_v thy_o most_o bless_a servant_n and_o give_v unto_o i_o thy_o servant_n o_o my_o good_a god_n a_o true_a principle_n of_o due_a obedient_a love_n in_o all_o my_o devotion_n and_o undertake_n whatsoever_o towards_o thou_o my_o good_a god_n and_o for_o thy_o mercy_n sake_n teach_v i_o thy_o statute_n and_o hide_v not_o thy_o precept_n from_o i_o lead_v i_o in_o the_o way_n that_o i_o shall_v go_v and_o hold_v i_o in_o the_o live_a path_n of_o thy_o most_o joyful_a servant_n search_v my_o heart_n o_o god_n and_o try_v my_o way_n for_o there_o be_v way_n of_o iniquity_n in_o i_o and_o lead_v i_o in_o the_o way_n everlasting_a let_v i_o have_v here_o in_o this_o life_n o_o my_o good_a god_n that_o and_o that_o only_a which_o may_v most_o perfect_a and_o fit_v i_o in_o soul_n and_o body_n for_o thy_o eternal_a and_o most_o sacred_a service_n let_v the_o daily_a precedent_n of_o mortality_n o_o my_o good_a god_n move_v i_o to_o true_a repentance_n give_v i_o to_o know_v o_o my_o eternal_a creator_n that_o i_o be_o no_o better_a than_o my_o parent_n but_o as_o they_o be_v return_v with_o their_o body_n to_o the_o grave_n and_o their_o soul_n to_o thou_o the_o god_n that_o give_v they_o so_o it_o must_v be_v with_o i_o give_v i_o to_o know_v o_o eternity_n that_o here_o be_v no_o abide_v place_n here_o be_v no_o continue_v dwelling_n give_v i_o grace_n and_o strength_n our_o good_a god_n to_o seek_v and_o find_v one_o to_o come_v eternal_a in_o the_o heaven_n give_v thy_o servant_n o_o my_o gracious_a god_n true_a love_n to_o thou_o my_o god_n for_o thy_o own_o sake_n to_o my_o neighbour_n for_o thy_o commandment_n sake_n and_o all_o for_o obedience_n sake_n unto_o thy_o bless_a majesty_n give_v i_o to_o see_v o_o thou_o my_o only_a good_a the_o bless_a
