as_o will_v appear_v more_o in_o the_o sequel_n of_o my_o discourse_n the_o word_n be_v thus_o explain_v i_o proceed_v to_o that_o which_o be_v principal_o contain_v in_o they_o they_o give_v we_o a_o direction_n how_o we_o shall_v treat_v our_o brother_n when_o he_o have_v do_v amiss_o we_o must_v restore_v he_o we_o must_v use_v our_o utmost_a endeavour_n to_o set_v he_o right_n again_o and_o this_o can_v be_v do_v any_o other_o way_n so_o well_o as_o by_o a_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n or_o to_o be_v sure_a this_o must_v be_v the_o first_o way_n that_o must_v be_v use_v with_o he_o i_o have_v think_v fit_a to_o discourse_v on_o this_o subject_a as_o that_o which_o be_v very_o necessary_a and_o very_o seasonable_a all_o that_o we_o can_v do_v be_v little_a enough_o to_o allay_v those_o unchristian_a heat_n which_o be_v among_o we_o and_o which_o be_v blow_v into_o a_o flame_n upon_o every_o occasion_n there_o be_v nothing_o more_o requisite_a at_o this_o time_n than_o that_o we_o shall_v treat_v those_o that_o have_v be_v take_v in_o a_o fault_n with_o a_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n and_o yet_o there_o be_v complaint_n as_o if_o man_n be_v far_o from_o it_o now_o if_o possible_a than_o they_o have_v be_v heretofore_o the_o rage_n and_o fury_n of_o some_o man_n and_o their_o desire_n to_o ruin_v all_o that_o have_v do_v amiss_o be_v such_o that_o he_o who_o speak_v but_o a_o meek_a word_n concern_v they_o be_v suppose_v to_o be_v guilty_a of_o the_o same_o fault_n himself_o many_o man_n be_v so_o far_o from_o observe_v this_o rule_n and_o precept_n of_o christianity_n restore_v he_o that_o be_v take_v in_o a_o fault_n with_o a_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n that_o they_o account_v a_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n to_o be_v the_o great_a fault_n of_o all_o it_o will_v be_v enough_o if_o some_o may_v be_v judge_n to_o prove_v a_o man_n guilty_a if_o he_o do_v not_o present_o fly_v in_o the_o face_n of_o he_o that_o have_v do_v amiss_o as_o if_o the_o character_n which_o our_o saviour_n give_v of_o a_o disciple_n be_v to_o be_v blot_v out_o and_o another_o quite_o contrary_a be_v to_o be_v place_v in_o the_o room_n of_o it_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v no_o long_o by_o this_o shall_v all_o man_n know_v that_o you_o be_v my_o desciple_n if_o you_o love_v one_o another_o but_o by_o this_o shall_v all_o man_n know_v that_o you_o be_v my_o disciple_n if_o you_o hate_v and_o revile_v one_o another_o and_o speak_v evil_a one_o of_o another_o the_o world_n be_v come_v to_o that_o pass_n now_o that_o it_o require_v more_o than_o ordinary_a courage_n in_o a_o minister_n if_o he_o dare_v commend_v a_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n but_o i_o will_v adventure_v to_o do_v it_o and_o to_o tell_v you_o the_o reason_n of_o it_o too_o which_o may_v exceed_o aggravate_v my_o crime_n there_o be_v a_o grievous_a complaint_n make_v by_o some_o who_o have_v dissent_v from_o the_o church_n that_o upon_o their_o return_n to_o it_o they_o do_v not_o meet_v with_o that_o christian_a spirit_n by_o which_o they_o shall_v be_v encourage_v to_o have_v communion_n with_o we_o and_o to_o continue_v it_o but_o with_o revile_n and_o affront_v to_o the_o great_a grief_n and_o discomposure_n of_o their_o spirit_n in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n this_o text_n tell_v they_o that_o christianity_n require_v man_n to_o be_v of_o another_o spirit_n and_o such_o person_n and_o all_o other_o that_o have_v be_v overtake_v in_o fault_n ought_v to_o be_v otherwise_o treat_v i_o shall_v therefore_o recommend_v a_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n to_o you_o from_o the_o consideration_n of_o these_o five_o thing_n i._o from_o the_o consideration_n of_o what_o it_o be_v in_o itself_o it_o be_v a_o most_o sweet_a pleasant_a and_o delightful_a temper_n of_o mind_n a_o meek_a man_n be_v always_o at_o quiet_a in_o himself_o when_o other_o man_n be_v almost_o consume_v by_o the_o heat_n and_o rage_n of_o their_o own_o passion_n wrath_n kill_v the_o foolish_a man_n he_o be_v like_o jonah_n under_o his_o gourd_n cool_a and_o in_o very_o good_a temper_n when_o other_o man_n be_v like_o the_o israelite_n in_o the_o wilderness_n fret_v and_o vex_v themselves_o because_o every_o thing_n do_v not_o happen_v as_o they_o will_v have_v it_o wrangle_v with_o god_n and_o distrust_v his_o providence_n as_o if_o he_o do_v not_o know_v how_o to_o provide_v for_o man_n in_o their_o strait_n or_o how_o to_o deliver_v they_o from_o their_o fear_n and_o be_v therefore_o complain_v against_o their_o governor_n he_o be_v like_o
conspiracy_n against_o the_o life_n of_o our_o sovereign_n who_o be_v the_o breath_n of_o our_o nostril_n nothing_o will_v satisfy_v some_o man_n but_o to_o conclude_v that_o all_o that_o dissent_n be_v more_o or_o less_o concern_v in_o it_o whereas_o we_o have_v great_a reason_n to_o hope_n and_o i_o have_v some_o reason_n to_o speak_v it_o that_o it_o have_v be_v of_o very_o good_a consequence_n to_o some_o of_o the_o dissenter_n who_o be_v so_o startle_v and_o amaze_v at_o it_o that_o they_o have_v acknowledge_v the_o king_n command_n for_o the_o execution_n of_o his_o law_n against_o they_o to_o be_v both_o just_a and_o necessary_a thus_o do_v unjust_a and_o unchristian_a censoriousness_n prevail_v for_o want_v of_o a_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n let_v man_n therefore_o take_v heed_n that_o they_o do_v not_o charge_v the_o innocent_a of_o be_v faulty_a for_o oft_o time_n it_o happen_v to_o be_v so_o and_o he_o that_o abhor_v the_o fault_n which_o another_o be_v guilty_a of_o be_v revile_v and_o accuse_v after_o a_o most_o unchristian_a manner_n this_o be_v a_o very_a dreadful_a thing_n if_o he_o that_o be_v take_v in_o a_o fault_n must_v be_v restore_v
