success_n the_o prince_n of_o this_o world_n be_v enemy_n to_o god_n and_o to_o his_o cause_n and_o therefore_o will_v not_o easy_o suffer_v they_o that_o forsake_v god_n and_o fight_v under_o his_o banner_n to_o yield_v to_o the_o obedience_n of_o god_n and_o to_o be_v reform_v at_o his_o call_n therefore_o say_v god_n to_o ezechiel_n whether_o they_o will_v hear_v or_o refuse_v give_v not_o the_o word_n of_o god_n or_o do_v not_o live_v severe_o according_a to_o his_o profession_n and_o calling_n 5._o when_o in_o the._n 5._o verse_n moses_n say_v and_o the_o prophet_n or_o dreamer_n of_o dream_n shall_v die_v 1._o etc_n etc_n he_o declare_v that_o we_o must_v not_o only_o *_o discern_v false_a teacher_n from_o other_o and_o beware_v of_o they_o but_o that_o they_o must_v by_o the_o and_o the_o party_n full_o convict_v it_o seem_v to_o many_o that_o it_o be_v extremity_n &_o trueltie_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n &_o conscience_n to_o use_v the_o punishment_n of_o death_n and_o they_o say_v that_o christ_n be_v mild_a and_o merciful_a &_o require_v his_o disciple_n to_o follow_v his_o step_n in_o so_o much_o that_o when_o they_o desire_v fire_n to_o come_v from_o heaven_n to_o punish_v evil_a person_n he_o say_v 55._o they_o know_v not_o of_o what_o spirit_n they_o wear_v but_o let_v those_o man_n
consider_v that_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n of_o all_o mercy_n that_o appoint_v here_o this_o order_n of_o punishment_n and_o also_o let_v they_o remember_v what_o extreme_a cruelty_n it_o be_v for_o a_o away_o that_o their_o poison_n may_v not_o so_o large_o be_v spread_v to_o the_o great_a danger_n of_o other_o and_o the_o decay_n of_o god_n glory_n and_o truth_n if_o thy_o brother_n the_o son_n of_o thy_o mother_n 11._o or_o thine_o own_o son_n etc_n etc_n the_o same_o that_o be_v before_o speak_v of_o false_a prophet_n &_o teacher_n only_o be_v here_o apply_v even_o to_o every_o one_o of_o this_o place_n &_o before_o that_o such_o punishment_n be_v not_o to_o be_v use_v but_o where_o god_n true_a religion_n be_v thorough_o know_v and_o settle_a as_o it_o be_v at_o this_o time_n among_o the_o jew_n this_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v how_o earnest_o god_n require_v this_o punishment_n to_o be_v do_v for_o he_o will_v we_o not_o to_o regard_v either_o brother_n or_o sister_n 7._o or_o child_n or_o wife_n or_o any*_n person_n whatsoever_o though_o he_o be_v unto_o we_o as_o our_o own_o life_n whereby_o he_o declare_v how_o earnest_a our_o study_n and_o endeavour_n shall_v be_v to_o from_o the_o false_a prophet_n to_o the_o people_n and_o from_o some_o of_o the_o people_n to_o a_o whole_a city_n god_n will_v the_o whole_a city_n not_o to_o be_v spare_v but_o to_o be_v put_v to_o punishment_n and_o utter_a desolation_n for_o better_v it_o be_v that_o a_o few_o do_v perish_v *_o than_o god_n true_a worship_n shall_v be_v overthrow_v and_o his_o glory_n decay_n 27_o but_o in_o this_o place_n especial_o as_o in_o the_o other_o also_o before_o man_n proceed_v to_o punishment_n god_n will_v have_v they_o inquire_v and_o search_v out_o the_o matter_n diligent_o that_o they_o do_v not_o upon_o light_a report_n rash_o condemn_v man_n but_o if_o it_o be_v find_v for_o a_o surety_n then_o that_o they_o shall_v smite_v they_o with_o the_o edge_n of_o the_o sword_n and_o to_o
