etc._n etc._n upon_o the_o elect_a be_v to_o bring_v they_o back_o again_o to_o god_n and_o into_o fellowship_n with_o god_n the_o only_a blessedness_n of_o man_n now_o if_o the_o soul_n ordain_v and_o make_v for_o this_o end_n shall_v not_o feel_v its_o present_a separation_n from_o god_n by_o sin_n and_o the_o bitterness_n of_o the_o evil_a of_o it_o it_o will_v never_o seek_v to_o return_v again_o to_o he_o as_o to_o his_o great_a good_a nor_o desire_v ever_o to_o come_v into_o his_o bosom_n again_o for_o look_v as_o sin_n wound_v the_o soul_n so_o the_o soul_n seek_v for_o heal_v of_o communion_n with_o god_n will_v heal_v it_o and_o comfort_v it_o again_o the_o lord_n christ_n therefore_o have_v lay_v his_o hand_n upon_o the_o soul_n to_o bring_v it_o back_o to_o himself_o first_o 7.25_o and_o so_o to_o the_o father_n be_v design_v to_o gather_v in_o all_o the_o outcast_n of_o israel_n 56.8_o those_o he_o ever_o make_v to_o feel_v themselves_o outcast_n as_o cast_v away_o out_o they_o mourn_v for_o their_o distance_n from_o he_o and_o the_o hide_v of_o his_o face_n until_o the_o lord_n shine_v forth_o again_o whereas_o every_o one_o else_o though_o much_o trouble_v yet_o sit_v down_o content_v with_o any_o little_a odd_a thing_n that_o serve_v to_o quiet_v they_o for_o the_o time_n before_o the_o lord_n return_v to_o they_o or_o they_o enter_v into_o their_o rest_n in_o that_o ineffable_a communion_n with_o he_o let_v i_o now_o make_v application_n of_o this_o before_o i_o proceed_v to_o open_v the_o next_o particular_a of_o humiliation_n this_o may_v show_v of_o the_o other_o so_o abundant_o seal_v to_o be_v god_n own_o way_n by_o his_o rich_a blessing_n on_o the_o labour_n of_o his_o servant_n faithful_a to_o he_o herein_o that_o be_v it_o not_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o some_o weak_a and_o mislead_v i_o shall_v not_o dare_v to_o question_v it_o the_o lord_n himself_o so_o express_o speak_v that_o he_o come_v not_o to_o call_v the_o righteous_a but_o on_o the_o contrary_a only_o to_o heal_v the_o sick_a who_o know_v and_o feel_v their_o sickness_n chief_o by_o the_o law_n rom._n 3.20_o do_v thou_o think_v therefore_o that_o there_o be_v from_o he_o now_o when_o it_o be_v object_v against_o this_o viz._n that_o our_o vocation_n be_v that_o which_o go_v before_o our_o justification_n sanctification_n be_v part_n of_o glorification_n follow_v after_o rom._n 8.30_o hereupon_o some_o other_o tread_v in_o his_o step_n affirm_v that_o vocation_n be_v the_o same_o with_o sanctification_n and_o not_o comprehend_v under_o glorification_n other_o perceive_v the_o evil_a of_o this_o error_n viz._n to_o place_n sanctification_n before_o justification_n good_a fruit_n before_o a_o good_a tree_n they_o do_v therefore_o deny_v any_o save_a he_o say_v witty_o and_o wise_o faith_v by_o his_o justification_n before_o i_o come_v to_o clear_v the_o truth_n in_o these_o spiritual_a mystery_n let_v this_o only_o be_v remember_v viz._n that_o sanctification_n which_o pemble_n call_v out_o spiritual_a life_n may_v be_v take_v two_o way_n 1._o large_o 2._o strictly_n 1._o large_o for_o any_o awakening_n of_o conscience_n or_o act_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n and_o so_o it_o be_v true_a we_o be_v quicken_v by_o these_o act_n and_o so_o in_o a_o large_a sense_n sanctify_v first_o 2._o strict_o for_o those_o habit_n of_o the_o establishment_n here_o you_o little_o think_v how_o many_o delusion_n you_o may_v fall_v into_o about_o your_o spiritual_a condition_n i_o remember_v that_o when_o satan_n come_v to_o overthrow_v heavenly_a impression_n of_o god_n spirit_n in_o you_o you_o may_v then_o many_o a_o day_n and_o year_n keep_v at_o a_o distance_n from_o christ_n and_o live_v without_o christ_n for_o the_o feel_n of_o grace_n and_o assurance_n of_o favour_n be_v not_o constant_a but_o this_o call_n be_v always_o sound_v in_o thy_o year_n oh_o come_v not_o only_o because_o thou_o feel_v holiness_n in_o thou_o but_o come_v because_o poor_a hungry_a empty_a naked_a lose_v blind_a curse_a forsake_a full_a of_o sin_n there_o be_v not_o one_o moment_n of_o the_o day_n of_o grace_n but_o the_o lord_n beseech_v now_o enter_v into_o that_o depth_n concern_v the_o mean_n of_o our_o sanctification_n in_o mortification_n by_o christ_n death_n and_o vivification_n by_o the_o resurrection_n of_o christ_n this_o may_v suffice_v for_o explication_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o it_o only_o see_v and_o for_o ever_o prize_v this_o privilege_n all_o you_o bless_a soul_n who_o the_o lord_n have_v justify_v thou_o have_v many_o sad_a complaint_n what_o be_v it_o to_o i_o if_o i_o be_v justify_v in_o christ_n and_o be_v save_v at_o last_o by_o christ_n and_o my_o heart_n remain_v all_o this_o while_n unholy_a and_o unsubdued_a unto_o the_o will_n of_o christ_n that_o he_o shall_v comfort_v i_o and_o my_o holy_a heart_n be_v always_o grieve_v of_o he_o what_o though_o the_o lord_n save_v i_o from_o misery_n the_o witness_n of_o sanctification_n to_o testify_v in_o the_o court_n of_o conscience_n whether_o they_o be_v belove_v of_o god_n and_o sincere_a heart_a or_o no_o because_o this_o be_v a_o full_a witness_n against_o they_o and_o tell_v they_o to_o their_o face_n that_o there_o be_v no_o peace_n to_o the_o wicked_a isa._n 57_o ult_n deut._n 29.19_o 20._o and_o that_o they_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v to_o take_v god_n name_n into_o their_o lip_n that_o secret_o hate_v to_o be_v reform_v psal._n 50.16_o in_o other_o i_o think_v it_o do_v not_o arise_v from_o want_n of_o grace_n but_o because_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n and_o sanctification_n run_v very_o low_a in_o they_o it_o be_v so_o little_a that_o they_o can_v scarce_o see_v it_o by_o the_o help_n of_o spectacle_n or_o if_o they_o do_v they_o doubt_v continual_o of_o the_o truth_n of_o it_o and_o hence_o because_o it_o can_v speak_v little_a and_o that_o little_a very_o dark_o and_o obscure_o for_o they_o they_o have_v no_o great_a mind_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v bring_v in_o as_o any_o witness_n for_o they_o other_o i_o think_v may_v have_v much_o grace_n and_o holiness_n yet_o for_o a_o time_n cast_v it_o by_o as_o a_o evidence_n unto_o they_o because_o they_o have_v experience_n how_o difficult_a and_o troublesome_a it_o be_v to_o find_v this_o evidence_n and_o when_o it_o be_v find_v how_o troublesome_a to_o read_v it_o and_o keep_v it_o fair_a and_o thereby_o have_v constant_a peace_n and_o quietness_n and_o hence_o arise_v those_o speech_n why_o do_v you_o look_v to_o your_o sanctification_n
