commend_v this_o prayer_n unto_o we_o for_o matter_n and_o manner_n then_o for_o the_o word_n thereof_o again_o though_o it_o be_v a_o most_o perfect_a prayer_n yet_o it_o be_v only_o general_a but_o 2._o yet_o he_o bid_v he_o exhort_v a_o elder_a therein_o give_v good_a direction_n for_o 1._o admonition_n if_o the_o party_n be_v a_o elder_a though_o reproof_n be_v not_o unlawful_a yet_o it_o be_v not_o so_o fit_a as_o exhortation_n and_o the_o like_a mildness_n must_v be_v use_v towards_o all_o those_o that_o sin_n of_o humane_a frailty_n but_o if_o the_o offence_n proceed_v from_o wilfulness_n and_o obstinacy_n than_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n must_v be_v denounce_v against_o they_o to_o drive_v they_o to_o repentance_n 4._o every_o one_o 4_o that_o be_v to_o correct_v another_o must_v consider_v himself_o and_o his_o own_o estate_n know_v that_o of_o himself_o he_o may_v fall_v into_o the_o like_a offence_n so_o paul_n bid_v they_o that_o be_v to_o seek_v the_o restore_n of_o such_o as_o be_v fall_v to_o consider_v themselves_o galat._n 6._o 1._o 5._o brotherly_o correction_n must_v be_v deliver_v with_o 5_o doctrine_n and_o instruction_n 2._o tim._n 4._o 1_o 2._o i_o charge_v thou_o before_o god_n to_o reprove_v exhort_v and_o rebuke_v with_o all_o long_a suffering_n and_o doctrine_n he_o that_o will_v admonish_v must_v first_o himself_o be_v resolve_v that_o the_o thing_n do_v be_v a_o sin_n than_o he_o must_v propound_v it_o to_o the_o party_n as_o a_o sin_n out_o of_o god_n word_n and_o deliver_v the_o reproof_n not_o in_o his_o own_o name_n but_o in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n so_o as_o hereby_o the_o party_n may_v know_v himself_o to_o have_v offend_v and_o also_o say_v that_o he_o be_v reprove_v of_o god_n himself_o rather_o then_o of_o man_n this_o aught_o all_o superior_n to_o practice_n in_o correct_v and_o admonish_v their_o inferior_n they_o must_v not_o go_v thereto_o in_o rage_n but_o in_o long_a suffering_n nor_o rude_o but_o with_o doctrine_n that_o the_o party_n offend_v may_v see_v his_o fault_n and_o thus_o much_o for_o this_o duty_n of_o brotherly_a correction_n vers._n 6._o give_v not_o that_o which_o mean_v by_o swine_n for_o the_o first_o by_o that_o which_o be_v holy_a we_o must_v understand_v first_o and_o proper_o the_o word_n of_o god_n write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o old_a and_o new_a testament_n in_o his_o right_n and_o holy_a use_n that_o be_v read_v dispense_v and_o preach_v and_o consequent_o by_o holy_a thing_n be_v mean_v the_o sacrament_n and_o christian_a admonition_n god_n word_n be_v call_v thing_n a_o holy_a thing_n for_o sundry_a cause_n but_o principal_o for_o these_o two_o first_o because_o it_o be_v holy_a in_o itself_o and_o second_o in_o effect_n &_o operation_n it_o be_v holy_a in_o itself_o because_o it_o be_v set_v apart_o by_o god_n to_o be_v in_o the_o church_n in_o stead_n of_o his_o own_o lively_a voice_n unto_o his_o people_n for_o the_o reucal_a and_o determine_v of_o all_o thing_n to_o be_v believe_v and_o do_v in_o his_o church_n in_o the_o old_a testament_n god_n himself_o speak_v by_o a_o lively_a voice_n unto_o the_o patriarch_n and_o after_o the_o give_v of_o the_o law_n he_o give_v answer_v to_o the_o high_a priest_n at_o the_o mercy-seat_n &_o yet_o we_o be_v not_o inferior_a to_o they_o though_o we_o want_v that_o lively_a visible_a so_o likewise_o be_v christian_a admonition_n ground_v â—pon_n god_n word_n from_o this_o doctrine_n sundry_a duty_n 〈◊〉_d to_o be_v learn_v first_o we_o be_v oft_o command_v in_o god_n word_n to_o draw_v near_o uâ—â—o_o god_n to_o seek_v he_o to_o fear_v he_o and_o to_o walk_v before_o he_o in_o his_o prâ—â—â—nce_n how_o shall_v we_o do_v these_o thing_n see_v god_n be_v invisible_a and_o in_o glory_n and_o majesty_n be_v in_o heaven_n sure_o we_o must_v consider_v the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o be_v that_o holy_a thing_n set_v apart_o by_o god_n to_o be_v in_o stead_n of_o his_o own_o lively_a voice_n &_o therefore_o we_o need_v not_o seek_v for_o he_o that_o be_v invisible_a but_o we_o must_v have_v recourse_n unto_o the_o word_n &_o labour_n to_o have_v it_o present_a with_o we_o in_o our_o heart_n in_o our_o life_n and_o conscience_n enoch_n walk_v before_o god_n not_o only_o in_o regard_n of_o his_o infinite_a majesty_n which_o though_o it_o be_v invisible_a be_v every_o where_o present_a but_o principal_o in_o respect_n of_o his_o word_n set_v that_o before_o he_o wheresoever_o he_o be_v when_o we_o be_v command_v to_o fear_n god_n we_o must_v know_v that_o that_o be_v do_v not_o only_a when_o we_o stand_v in_o awe_n of_o his_o glorious_a majesty_n but_o principal_o when_o we_o fear_v to_o offend_v god_n command_v we_o in_o his_o word_n the_o apostle_n dwell_n of_o the_o word_n which_o be_v make_v effectual_a by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n for_o say_v ever_o have_v relation_n to_o the_o word_n &_o be_v believe_v it_o dwell_v in_o the_o heart_n &_o make_v the_o spirit_n which_o work_v by_o the_o same_o word_n present_v also_o in_o which_o regard_n paul_n say_v now_o i_o live_v 20._o not_o but_o christ_n live_v in_o i_o which_o he_o expound_v after_o say_v i_o live_v now_o by_o faith_n in_o the_o son_n of_o god_n because_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n be_v present_a with_o he_o and_o the_o grace_n of_o say_v that_o life_n by_o that_o word_n
