back_n and_o bid_v you_o be_v not_o afraid_a take_v courage_n from_o the_o lord_n and_o quit_v yourselves_o like_o man_n in_o danger_n be_v strong_a in_o the_o lord_n and_o in_o the_o power_n of_o his_o might_n there_o be_v this_o difference_n between_o god_n call_v and_o man_n call_n to_o do_v any_o thing_n man_n call_v man_n to_o service_n and_o employment_n but_o can_v give_v they_o power_n the_o lord_n say_v fear_v not_o and_o in_o the_o voice_n of_o the_o lord_n there_o be_v life_n to_o frame_v the_o same_o temper_n in_o your_o heart_n christ_n he_o shall_v stand_v over_o your_o dead_a heart_n as_o he_o do_v over_o the_o dead_a body_n of_o lazarus_n say_v lazarus_n arise_v who_o immediate_o arise_v the_o word_n of_o his_o mouth_n carry_v life_n into_o it_o and_o with_o it_o so_o sufficiency_n in_o it_o to_o make_v up_o a_o complete_a righteousness_n for_o we_o and_o further_o that_o the_o ground_n of_o it_o shall_v be_v this_o namely_o that_o christ_n do_v not_o perform_v the_o several_a duty_n of_o the_o several_a relation_n wherein_o many_o person_n stand_v as_o the_o office_n of_o a_o magistrate_n and_o the_o relation_n of_o a_o husband_n etc._n etc._n for_o the_o vindicate_a of_o myself_o herein_o i_o shall_v repeat_v the_o matter_n i_o deliver_v before_o and_o you_o shall_v also_o know_v the_o truth_n of_o what_o my_o judgement_n be_v in_o this_o thing_n and_o then_o leave_v it_o to_o the_o church_n of_o god_n whether_o it_o be_v a_o slander_n or_o no._n this_o i_o then_o say_v that_o the_o active_a and_o passive_a obedience_n of_o christ_n proper_o be_v the_o action_n and_o passion_n of_o the_o humane_a nature_n for_o the_o divine_a nature_n be_v not_o subject_a to_o obedience_n because_o there_o be_v not_o any_o superior_a to_o who_o the_o divine_a nature_n shall_v obey_v neither_o be_v it_o subject_a to_o passion_n god_n can_v suffer_v and_o therefore_o do_v the_o command_n and_o suffer_v the_o punishment_n be_v more_o proper_a to_o the_o action_n of_o the_o humane_a nature_n and_o this_o humane_a nature_n be_v but_o a_o mere_a creature_n and_o therefore_o the_o action_n of_o it_o as_o a_o creature_n can_v extend_v to_o a_o proportion_n answerable_a to_o the_o injury_n do_v by_o sin_n to_o god_n for_o this_o cause_n i_o say_v as_o i_o say_v before_o there_o must_v be_v a_o addition_n of_o virtue_n from_o the_o divine_a nature_n of_o christ_n to_o make_v the_o active_a and_o passive_a obedience_n of_o the_o humane_a nature_n a_o complete_a righteousness_n so_o that_o all_o i_o say_v be_v this_o that_o the_o action_n and_o passion_n of_o the_o humane_a nature_n be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o make_v up_o our_o righteousness_n a_o complete_a righteousness_n but_o there_o must_v be_v something_o of_o the_o divine_a nature_n superad_v to_o raise_v up_o a_o righteousness_n proportionable_a to_o the_o transgression_n we_o commit_v and_o that_o expression_n concern_v the_o not_o perform_v of_o duty_n of_o these_o several_a relation_n i_o speak_v it_o only_o to_o this_o purpose_n to_o show_v wherein_o the_o humane_a nature_n of_o christ_n in_o obedience_n do_v not_o fulfil_v every_o thing_n in_o particular_a which_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o a_o man_n and_o that_o therefore_o the_o divine_a nature_n of_o christ_n by_o the_o eminent_a dignity_n thereof_o be_v as_o i_o say_v before_o to_o make_v up_o that_o righteousness_n a_o complete_a righteousness_n concern_v this_o whether_o it_o be_v truth_n or_o no_o let_v the_o church_n judge_n according_a to_o the_o word_n as_o for_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d christ_n as_o god_n and_o man_n it_o be_v well_o know_v i_o use_v not_o the_o word_n neither_o have_v i_o the_o thing_n in_o my_o mind_n nor_o in_o my_o tongue_n to_o the_o purpose_n they_o allege_v it_o against_o i_o in_o a_o word_n this_o i_o say_v that_o christ_n as_o god_n and_o man_n have_v in_o himself_o a_o absolute_a completeness_n of_o righteousness_n for_o all_o the_o elect_a person_n there_o need_v not_o be_v a_o go_v forth_o from_o christ_n to_o any_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n beside_o for_o a_o perfect_a righteousness_n second_o there_o be_v another_o charge_n deep_a indeed_o and_o i_o appeal_v to_o you_o that_o have_v frequent_o hear_v i_o whether_o ever_o you_o have_v hear_v any_o such_o thing_n from_o i_o namely_o that_o by_o way_n of_o inference_n i_o shall_v deny_v christ_n how_o true_a this_o be_v let_v the_o whole_a course_n of_o my_o ministry_n witness_n which_o altogether_o aim_v and_o endeavour_v the_o exalt_v of_o christ_n above_o all_o the_o creature_n in_o the_o world_n and_o except_v my_o be_v so_o busy_a with_o this_o truth_n be_v become_v a_o
of_o this_o will_v add_v also_o to_o the_o exalt_v and_o magnify_v of_o the_o exceed_a riches_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n to_o man_n to_o show_v what_o a_o bless_a condition_n this_o spouseship_n be_v to_o those_o that_o be_v stranger_n unto_o both_o hear_v the_o love_n of_o the_o church_n to_o be_v the_o chief_a of_o ten_o thousand_o may_v by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v win_v to_o seek_v after-him_a it_o be_v the_o very_a same_o case_n in_o the_o canticle_n the_o daughter_n of_o the_o world_n say_v unto_o the_o spouse_n of_o christ_n hear_v place_n i_o have_v tell_v you_o and_o therein_o i_o say_v the_o apostle_n do_v most_o rhetorical_o hold_v forth_o every_o thing_n that_o be_v of_o a_o win_n and_o desirable_a nature_n to_o draw_v forth_o the_o love_n of_o people_n unto_o christ_n if_o people_n look_v for_o beauty_n and_o that_o catch_v man_n the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o here_o that_o christ_n be_v a_o admirable_a piece_n of_o beauty_n there_o be_v none_o like_o to_o he_o say_v the_o church_n in_o the_o canticle_n he_o be_v the_o chief_a of_o ten_o thousand_o but_o behold_v the_o beauty_n the_o apostle_n mention_n here_o he_o be_v the_o image_n of_o the_o invisible_a god_n in_o the_o epistle_n to_o the_o hebrew_n in_o the_o 1._o chapter_n and_o the_o 3._o verse_n he_o speak_v more_o full_o to_o the_o business_n he_o be_v the_o express_a image_n of_o his_o person_n and_o the_o brightness_n of_o his_o glory_n here_o be_v a_o face_n for_o you_o if_o you_o be_v enamour_v with_o beauty_n there_o be_v none_o like_o family_n well_o the_o apostle_n will_v tell_v you_o here_o be_v a_o match_n for_o you_o with_o a_o witness_n here_o be_v beauty_n and_o a_o good_a race_n too_o he_o be_v not_o only_o the_o express_a image_n of_o god_n but_o he_o be_v the_o first_o bear_v of_o god_n the_o first_o beget_v of_o every_o creature_n nay_o the_o dear_a son_n of_o god_n in_o the_o 15._o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n here_o be_v a_o stock_n for_o you_o of_o the_o high_a kindred_n in_o the_o world_n he_o be_v the_o heir_n of_o glory_n the_o heir_n apparent_a that_o if_o you_o will_v match_v for_o honour_n if_o you_o will_v match_v into_o a_o great_a house_n here_o be_v beauty_n and_o honour_n too_o yea_o but_o you_o will_v vay_fw-mi it_o may_v be_v he_o may_v be_v in_o disgrace_n it_o may_v be_v he_o have_v no_o authority_n and_o power_n and_o ability_n we_o will_v have_v one_o that_o have_v authority_n and_o power_n and_o bear_v rule_v christ_n he_o be_v call_v such_o a_o one_o too_o the_o whole_a sovereignty_n of_o the_o world_n be_v at_o his_o command_n and_o disposal_n as_o you_o will_v have_v it_o to_o be_v so_o you_o have_v it_o in_o the_o next_o verse_n in_o vers_fw-la 16._o all_o thing_n
