they_o do_v not_o find_v present_a comfort_n by_o it_o their_o spirit_n be_v in_o a_o distemper_n and_o frowardness_n and_o cast_v it_o off_o and_o if_o at_o any_o time_n there_o be_v never_o such_o comfortable_a thing_n speak_v in_o the_o word_n yet_o there_o be_v a_o anger_n in_o their_o spirit_n because_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o apply_v the_o word_n to_o themselves_o and_o they_o think_v this_o do_v not_o concern_v i_o now_o there_o shall_v be_v meekness_n of_o spirit_n in_o those_o that_o be_v in_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n above_o all_o they_o shall_v quiet_o attend_v upon_o the_o word_n and_o wait_v for_o the_o time_n that_o god_n will_v speak_v peace_n to_o their_o conscience_n and_o if_o i_o can_v find_v the_o word_n suitable_a to_o i_o at_o this_o time_n yet_o i_o may_v at_o another_o time_n let_v i_o attend_v with_o meekness_n let_v i_o receive_v every_o thing_n with_o meekness_n the_o word_n be_v above_o i_o and_o if_o ever_o i_o have_v good_a it_o must_v be_v by_o the_o word_n at_o last_o it_o do_v much_o concern_v those_o that_o be_v in_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n to_o have_v meek_a spirit_n 2_o there_o be_v another_o distemper_n in_o other_o and_o that_o heart_n rise_v against_o god_n and_o his_o word_n and_o minister_n too_o because_o it_o will_v pluck_v away_o some_o belove_a corruption_n because_o it_o rebuke_n they_o for_o some_o haunt_n of_o assistance_n thereof_o the_o lord_n expect_v to_o have_v his_o name_n sanctify_v in_o it_o 3_o three_o the_o name_n of_o god_n must_v be_v sanctify_v in_o the_o word_n because_o the_o word_n be_v very_o quick_a and_o lively_a it_o work_v man_n or_o woman_n to_o life_n or_o death_n to_o salvation_n or_o damnation_n in_o heb_fw-mi 4.12_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v quick_a and_o powerful_a now_o god_n do_v forbear_v in_o the_o time_n of_o ignorance_n but_o he_o will_v not_o forbear_v so_o when_o the_o word_n come_v now_o be_v the_o axe_n lay_v to_o the_o root_n of_o the_o tree_n and_o when_o be_v that_o when_o john_n baptist_n come_v to_o preach_v repentance_n because_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v at_o hand_n though_o the_o tree_n be_v barren_a before_o and_o do_v not_o bring_v forth_o good_a fruit_n yet_o it_o may_v stand_v still_o and_o not_o be_v cut_v down_o but_o when_o the_o powerful_a ministration_n of_o the_o word_n come_v than_o the_o axe_n be_v lay_v to_o the_o application_n of_o this_o point_n and_o first_o by_o way_n of_o reprehension_n to_o all_o those_o that_o do_v not_o sanctify_v god_n name_n in_o hear_v the_o word_n and_o herein_o we_o shall_v have_v we_o that_o belong_v to_o this_o place_n that_o do_v so_o how_o many_o live_v without_o god_n in_o the_o world_n and_o do_v declare_v to_o all_o the_o world_n that_o they_o be_v not_o of_o godâ—_n they_o have_v no_o part_n nor_o portion_n in_o god_n in_o that_o they_o hear_v not_o his_o word_n some_o there_o be_v that_o come_v to_o hear_v it_o but_o they_o come_v to_o hear_v it_o as_o a_o mere_a matter_n of_o indifferency_n in_o a_o mere_a formal_a and_o customary_a way_n or_o for_o company_n sake_n or_o to_o give_v content_a to_o other_o these_o be_v poor_a and_o low_a end_n thou_o shall_v come_v to_o hear_v the_o word_n as_o expect_v god_n shall_v speak_v to_o thy_o soul_n for_o the_o furtherance_n of_o thy_o eternal_a good_a but_o your_o conscience_n may_v tell_v you_o what_o vain_a and_o wander_a heart_n you_o have_v when_o you_o come_v to_o hear_v it_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o fool_n say_v solomon_n be_v in_o all_o the_o corner_n of_o the_o earth_n up_o and_o down_o wander_v little_o mind_v that_o you_o be_v come_v to_o hear_v god_n himself_o speak_v to_o you_o in_o the_o ministry_n of_o man_n and_o if_o so_o be_v that_o it_o be_v mind_v yet_o ordinary_o the_o scripture_n in_o heb._n 12.25_o for_o such_o man_n as_o shift_v off_o god_n word_n when_o it_o come_v many_o time_n very_o near_o to_o they_o see_v that_o you_o refuse_v not_o he_o that_o speak_v for_o if_o they_o escape_v not_o who_o refuse_v he_o that_o speak_v on_o earth_n much_o more_o shall_v not_o we_o escape_v if_o we_o turn_v away_o from_o he_o which_o speak_v from_o heaven_n see_v that_o you_o refuse_v not_o he_o that_o speak_v the_o word_n see_v that_o you_o do_v not_o put_v he_o off_o and_o that_o that_o be_v the_o signification_n of_o it_o if_o you_o compare_v it_o with_o luke_n 12.18_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o there_o be_v the_o same_o word_n use_v where_o speak_v of_o those_o that_o be_v invite_v to_o the_o supper_n it_o be_v say_v they_o all_o with_o one_o terror_n of_o conscience_n many_o come_v to_o apply_v comfortable_a scripture_n to_o he_o and_o he_o himself_o for_o a_o while_o do_v take_v those_o scripture_n and_o lay_v they_o upon_o his_o heart_n to_o pacify_v his_o trouble_a conscience_n but_o a_o little_a before_o he_o die_v he_o cry_v out_o with_o a_o most_o fearful_a terror_n there_o be_v a_o fair_a plaster_n make_v but_o it_o will_v not_o stick_v on_o it_o will_v not_o stick_v on_o so_o die_v despair_v so_o there_o be_v in_o the_o word_n such_o a_o plaster_n as_o may_v help_v a_o wound_a and_o trouble_a conscience_n but_o can_v thou_o expect_v that_o have_v not_o sanctify_a god_n name_v in_o thy_o life_n time_n that_o it_o shall_v stick_v upon_o thy_o soul_n in_o the_o day_n of_o thy_o affliction_n never_o expect_v it_o for_o the_o be_v for_o yourselves_o you_o will_v put_v up_o this_o petition_n oh_o lord_n that_o i_o may_v be_v deliver_v from_o a_o wander_a spirit_n in_o holy_a duty_n and_o especial_o in_o the_o duty_n of_o
