give_v as_o a_o gift_n unto_o aaron_n and_o his_o son_n to_o do_v the_o service_n of_o the_o tabernacle_n of_o the_o congregation_n yet_o they_o be_v not_o admit_v to_o administer_v and_o wait_v on_o the_o service_n of_o the_o tabernacle_n of_o the_o congregation_n but_o from_o 25_o year_n old_a and_o upward_o and_o from_o the_o age_n of_o 50_o year_n they_o shall_v cease_v wait_v on_o the_o service_n thereof_o and_o shall_v serve_v no_o more_o but_o shall_v minister_v with_o their_o brethren_n in_o the_o tabernacle_n of_o the_o congregation_n to_o keep_v the_o charge_n as_o numb_a 8._o the_o faith_n and_o in_o the_o trade_n and_o practice_v of_o christianity_n in_o all_o duty_n belong_v thereunto_o for_o there_o be_v a_o childhood_n and_o minority_n as_o well_o in_o grace_n as_o approve_v and_o experience_v in_o the_o trade_n and_o practice_v of_o christianity_n to_o the_o levite_n when_o they_o come_v to_o year_n of_o discretion_n and_o all_o the_o elder_n and_o officer_n elect_v by_o the_o church_n or_o that_o be_v full_a of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o of_o wisdom_n i_o compare_v to_o the_o priest_n the_o son_n of_o aaron_n yea_o though_o they_o be_v of_o such_o as_o be_v not_o learn_v in_o tongue_n if_o they_o have_v such_o gift_n and_o qualification_n as_o be_v manifestation_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o so_o the_o minister_n of_o god_n i_o compare_v to_o aaron_n who_o in_o many_o thing_n be_v above_o his_o son_n as_o have_v be_v say_v and_o who_o know_v but_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n upon_o who_o shoulder_n the_o government_n lie_v will_v govern_v his_o church_n after_o these_o example_n see_v the_o apostle_n peter_n do_v thus_o compare_v they_o as_o resemble_v the_o priesthood_n and_o not_o as_o resemble_v the_o jewish_a nation_n both_o priest_n and_o people_n for_o that_o he_o do_v not_o see_v also_o mal._n 4._o 4._o and_o then_o the_o danger_n lie_v not_o against_o man_n unlearned_a that_o have_v the_o manifestation_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o of_o power_n lest_o they_o shall_v perish_v in_o the_o gainsay_n of_o korah_n because_o they_o take_v upon_o they_o be_v call_v by_o the_o church_n to_o preach_v and_o administer_v in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n but_o the_o danger_n lie_v against_o such_o who_o be_v sensual_a have_v not_o the_o spirit_n and_o yet_o will_v take_v upon_o they_o ministerial_a function_n in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n because_o they_o be_v learn_v in_o the_o tongue_n and_o graduate_n in_o the_o school_n judas_n 11_o 18_o 19_o 20._o see_v zech._n 12_o 13._o chap._n these_o be_v stranger_n that_o may_v not_o come_v nigh_o etc._n etc._n as_o numb_a 18._o 4_o 22._o but_o it_o will_v be_v object_v that_o if_o unlearned_a man_n be_v suffer_v to_o preach_v they_o that_o be_v some_o place_n of_o scripture_n and_o it_o can_v be_v avoid_v but_o there_o will_v be_v false_a teacher_n even_o among_o we_o in_o these_o day_n as_o well_o as_o there_o be_v false_a prophet_n in_o the_o day_n of_o old_a as_o 2_o pet._n 2._o 1._o and_o such_o also_o it_o may_v be_v as_o shall_v privy_o bring_v in_o damnable_a heresy_n even_o deny_v the_o lord_n that_o buy_v they_o and_o shall_v bring_v upon_o themselves_o swift_a destruction_n and_o there_o be_v no_o security_n give_v out_o in_o scripture_n that_o none_o that_o be_v learn_v in_o the_o tongue_n shall_v be_v of_o the_o number_n of_o these_o false_a teacher_n for_o man_n that_o be_v learn_v in_o the_o tongue_n may_v be_v unstable_a and_o wrest_v the_o scripture_n and_o by_o how_o much_o the_o more_o they_o that_o be_v unstable_a be_v learn_v in_o the_o tongue_n they_o be_v even_o so_o much_o the_o more_o dangerous_a if_o they_o shall_v be_v suffer_v and_o therefore_o unstableness_n be_v a_o great_a fault_n and_o more_o dangerous_a than_o unlearnedness_n in_o the_o tongue_n and_o man_n may_v he_o learn_v in_o the_o scripture_n or_o unlearned_a either_o and_o yet_o learned_a in_o the_o tongue_n man_n ought_v not_o therefore_o to_o be_v inhibit_v to_o preach_v lest_o they_o shall_v be_v unstable_a and_o wrest_v the_o scripture_n for_o then_o the_o learned_a as_o well_o as_o the_o unlearned_a shall_v both_o be_v inhibit_v but_o such_o who_o be_v prove_v be_v find_v unstable_a and_o that_o they_o do_v wrest_v the_o scripture_n no_o man_n will_v deny_v but_o such_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v inhibit_v when_o they_o be_v find_v out_o and_o convict_v of_o error_n or_o of_o schism_n etc._n etc._n yea_o though_o they_o be_v of_o the_o learned_a but_o to_o inhibit_v man_n before_o be_v to_o censure_v and_o condemn_v man_n before_o they_o be_v hear_v and_o see_v ezek_n 18._o 20._o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o righteous_a aught_o to_o be_v upon_o he_o as_o a_o badge_n of_o be_v to_o give_v liberty_n that_o any_o whosoever_o that_o preach_v in_o public_a may_v in_o public_a also_o be_v reprehend_v be_v they_o learn_v or_o unlearned_a if_o they_o preach_v erroneous_o in_o any_o congregation_n that_o so_o the_o same_o auditory_a that_o hear_v they_o preach_v any_o error_n or_o schism_n or_o false_a doctrine_n may_v by_o just_a reprehension_n from_o clear_a scripture-evidence_n be_v satisfy_v to_o the_o contrary_a and_o have_v such_o evil_a seed_n purge_v out_o quick_o before_o it_o grow_v up_o or_o be_v spread_v any_o further_o for_o so_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v and_o those_o church_n be_v not_o right_o constitute_v where_o this_o liberty_n be_v either_o want_v or_o not_o in_o use_n when_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n be_v wrong_v and_o wrest_v and_o turn_v into_o a_o lie_n and_o when_o his_o sacred_a word_n be_v handle_v deceitful_o and_o misapplyed_n as_o it_o often_o be_v even_o by_o the_o learned_a in_o the_o tongue_n that_o be_v unstable_a etc._n etc._n and_o yet_o no_o man_n allow_v to_o reprehend_v they_o for_o it_o nor_o convince_v they_o of_o it_o at_o least_o not_o in_o public_a and_o how_o then_o shall_v the_o same_o auditory_a be_v purge_v from_o it_o if_o their_o reprehension_n be_v not_o as_o public_a as_o the_o doctrine_n be_v preach_v for_o who_o know_v that_o all_o the_o congregation_n shall_v every_o one_o of_o they_o be_v assemble_v again_o and_o the_o doctrine_n may_v be_v such_o as_o may_v lead_v they_o to_o perdition_n and_o destruction_n both_o of_o their_o soul_n and_o body_n and_o this_o liberty_n be_v in_o use_n will_v doubtless_o make_v both_o the_o learned_a and_o unlearned_a a_o great_a deal_n more_o careful_a to_o keep_v unto_o sound_a doctrine_n that_o can_v be_v reprove_v and_o they_o that_o plead_v so_o much_o against_o liberty_n of_o preach_v of_o man_n unlearned_a in_o the_o tongue_n for_o fear_v of_o the_o spread_a of_o error_n and_o schism_n and_o yet_o will_v not_o allow_v this_o public_a liberty_n of_o reprehension_n as_o have_v be_v say_v to_o prevent_v and_o avoid_v and_o purge_v the_o same_o i_o can_v hardly_o believe_v that_o the_o spread_a of_o error_n and_o schism_n
