many_o day_n and_o want_v nothing_o of_o those_o thing_n here_o below_o which_o seem_v most_o precious_a and_o glorious_a in_o the_o eye_n of_o man_n what_o shall_v i_o say_v more_o we_o be_v more_o trouble_v with_o the_o fear_n and_o dread_n of_o our_o natural_a death_n the_o death_n of_o our_o body_n which_o if_o our_o life_n be_v such_o as_o they_o ought_v to_o be_v will_v be_v more_o desire_v then_o fear_v of_o we_o be_v the_o entrance_n into_o that_o promise_a rest_n and_o happiness_n then_o of_o the_o death_n of_o our_o spirit_n yea_o of_o our_o soul_n and_o body_n even_o that_o fearful_a &_o most_o dreadful_a death_n which_o be_v the_o second_o death_n when_o as_o the_o soul_n present_o after_o the_o dissolution_n and_o separation_n of_o it_o from_o the_o body_n in_o the_o end_n of_o this_o life_n and_o both_o soul_n and_o body_n even_o the_o whole_a man_n immediate_o after_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n have_v receive_v their_o final_a doom_n shall_v be_v deliver_v up_o unto_o eternal_a death_n and_o condemnation_n in_o hell_n where_o they_o shall_v be_v punish_v with_o everlasting_a perdition_n from_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o from_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o power_n sure_o many_o such_o there_o be_v in_o all_o place_n who_o have_v so_o small_a sense_n and_o feel_n of_o the_o great_a evil_n both_o present_a and_o imminent_a that_o be_v more_o grieve_v and_o trouble_v for_o the_o approach_n of_o some_o lesser_a evil_n then_o of_o the_o great_a misery_n that_o can_v possible_o befall_v a_o man_n the_o very_a remembrance_n and_o consideration_n whereof_o be_v enough_o to_o breed_v a_o horror_n and_o astonishment_n in_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o hardy_a the_o most_o obstinate_a and_o impenitent_a sinner_n if_o he_o shall_v have_v a_o right_a apprehension_n of_o it_o oh_o the_o folly_n of_o such_o man_n who_o see_v not_o how_o satan_n have_v blind_v and_o besot_v they_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v as_o those_o who_o have_v no_o understanding_n no_o discern_a of_o thing_n that_o differ_v so_o exceed_o o_o bless_a lord_n open_v their_o eye_n that_o they_o may_v have_v a_o sight_n of_o their_o great_a misery_n touch_v their_o heart_n that_o they_o may_v have_v a_o feel_n of_o that_o which_o shall_v be_v their_o great_a grief_n and_o wherewith_o they_o shall_v be_v most_o affect_v and_o keep_v thy_o servant_n from_o fall_v at_o any_o time_n into_o that_o vain_a and_o foolish_a opinion_n and_o imagination_n of_o they_o let_v we_o always_o fear_v thy_o displeasure_n more_o than_o the_o angry_a countenance_n of_o any_o mortal_a man_n whatsoever_o let_v we_o be_v more_o afraid_a to_o be_v despise_v and_o reject_v of_o thou_o or_o to_o be_v such_o as_o thou_o take_v no_o pleasure_n no_o delight_n in_o then_o to_o be_v disgrace_v and_o contemn_v of_o the_o whole_a world_n esteem_v the_o filth_n and_o ofscouring_n of_o all_o thing_n man_n unworthy_a to_o live_v upon_o the_o earth_n glorious_a thing_n which_o thou_o have_v promise_v and_o prepare_v for_o all_o thy_o saint_n in_o that_o heavenly_a kingdom_n let_v we_o not_o fear_v the_o death_n of_o these_o mortal_a body_n of_o we_o which_o be_v but_o dust_n and_o shall_v return_v to_o the_o earth_n of_o which_o they_o be_v frame_v let_v not_o the_o remembrance_n thereof_o trouble_v we_o or_o be_v any_o way_n grievous_a affect_v with_o it_o as_o thereby_o to_o be_v bring_v into_o a_o true_a dislike_n and_o contempt_n of_o this_o present_a evil_a world_n which_o notwithstanding_o at_o least_o they_o wouâ—d_v seem_v to_o be_v out_o of_o love_n with_o the_o man_n that_o see_v indeed_o how_o vain_a how_o deceitful_a and_o how_o miserable_a this_o world_n be_v and_o have_v withal_o receive_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o taste_v of_o the_o sweetness_n &_o blessedness_n of_o the_o world_n to_o come_v and_o also_o know_v that_o the_o assurance_n of_o the_o promise_n thereof_o be_v make_v and_o seal_v unto_o he_o and_o that_o by_o the_o truth_n itself_o even_o by_o he_o who_o word_n shall_v stand_v when_o heaven_n and_o earth_n shall_v pass_v away_o that_o man_n as_o he_o without_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o life_n thereof_o if_o there_o be_v a_o separation_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n what_o be_v his_o body_n but_o a_o dead_a and_o a_o liveles_a corpse_n or_o carcase_n have_v no_o sense_n or_o motion_n it_o can_v once_o breathe_v or_o stir_v itself_o nor_o put_v forth_o any_o power_n for_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o least_o action_n so_o lord_n i_o have_v find_v by_o experience_n what_o a_o deadness_n there_o be_v upon_o i_o if_o thou_o at_o any_o time_n withdrawe_v thy_o spirit_n and_o do_v not_o cause_v it_o to_o work_v effectual_o upon_o my_o soul_n without_o the_o continual_a presence_n and_o assistance_n thereof_o i_o be_o not_o able_a to_o do_v no_o not_o to_o will_n or_o desire_v in_o any_o sort_n that_o which_o be_v good_a those_o hide_a treasure_n those_o inestimable_a riches_n of_o joy_n glory_n and_o everlasting_a happiness_n and_o felicity_n provide_v for_o the_o saint_n in_o the_o high_a heaven_n even_o the_o precious_a thing_n of_o god_n which_o can_v never_o be_v over_o prize_v or_o set_v at_o too_o high_a a_o rate_n can_v there_o be_v any_o great_a folly_n than_o this_o be_v not_o the_o simplicity_n stormy_a &_o tempestuous_a weather_n if_o it_o have_v not_o a_o ancre_fw-fr which_o be_v cast_v forth_o may_v hold_v and_o stay_v it_o be_v carry_v up_o and_o down_o and_o toss_v to_o and_o fro_o with_o much_o violence_n and_o so_o at_o length_n either_o drive_v upon_o the_o sand_n or_o dash_v against_o the_o rock_n in_o like_a manner_n it_o be_v with_o all_o those_o that_o in_o the_o troublesome_a sea_n of_o this_o dangerous_a world_n where_o there_o be_v so_o many_o storm_n &_o tempest_n continual_o arise_v want_v the_o ancre_fw-fr of_o their_o soul_n even_o true_a faith_n in_o christ_n and_o a_o assure_a hope_n of_o the_o promise_v make_v by_o he_o they_o be_v toss_v to_o and_o fro_o continual_o have_v no_o rest_n no_o comfort_n no_o confidence_n they_o be_v carry_v away_o violent_o with_o the_o rage_a water_n and_o in_o the_o end_n either_o fall_n upon_o some_o quick_a sand_n which_o swallow_v they_o up_o and_o cause_v they_o to_o sink_v into_o the_o bottom_n of_o that_o great_a deep_a or_o else_o rush_v against_o some_o stony_a and_o craggy_a rock_n which_o beat_v they_o to_o piece_n &_o bring_v they_o to_o ruin_v o_o my_o god_n thou_o see_v the_o great_a peril_n and_o danger_n i_o be_o subject_a unto_o and_o shall_v be_v as_o long_o as_o i_o live_v in_o this_o world_n which_o be_v a_o sea_n of_o misery_n and_o manifold_a calamity_n the_o wind_n blow_v the_o deep_a watere_n lift_v up_o their_o swell_a wave_n and_o the_o stormy_a tempest_n threaten_v i_o with_o shipwreck_n to_o the_o ruin_n and_o destruction_n both_o of_o my_o soul_n &_o body_n o_o therefore_o let_v i_o never_o want_v that_o assure_a hope_n which_o be_v as_o the_o ancre_fw-fr of_o my_o soul_n both_o sure_a and_o steadfast_a may_v enter_v into_o that_o which_o be_v within_o the_o veil_n and_o clasp_v fast_o hold_v of_o those_o gracious_a promise_n which_o thou_o have_v make_v unto_o i_o in_o thy_o christ_n my_o bless_a saviour_n so_o shall_v i_o not_o only_o be_v safe_a and_o confident_a in_o the_o midst_n of_o those_o danger_n which_o be_v round_o about_o i_o but_o also_o in_o the_o end_n have_v escape_v out_o of_o they_o all_o arrive_v at_o that_o pleasant_a haven_n of_o true_a felicity_n and_o endless_a bliss_n and_o happiness_n unto_o which_o the_o desire_n and_o prayer_n of_o my_o heart_n be_v that_o thou_o will_v short_o bring_v i_o that_o so_o i_o may_v rest_v with_o thou_o and_o sing_v praise_n unto_o thou_o in_o thy_o kingdom_n incessant_o even_o for_o ever_o great_a danger_n in_o yield_v to_o the_o least_o motion_n of_o any_o sin_n in_o every_o sin_n that_o any_o one_o yield_v unto_o he_o lay_v himself_o open_a unto_o the_o devil_n &_o give_v he_o power_n of_o he_o how_o careful_a therefore_o shall_v man_n be_v to_o avoid_v all_o sin_n and_o not_o willing_o to_o admit_v the_o least_o since_o thereby_o they_o give_v satan_n so_o great_a advantage_n against_o they_o o_o lord_n give_v i_o grace_v always_o to_o resist_v satan_n in_o the_o entrance_n of_o his_o suggestion_n and_o temptation_n even_o in_o the_o first_o motion_n unto_o evil_n wherewith_o he_o shall_v at_o any_o time_n assail_v i_o that_o so_o he_o may_v never_o be_v able_a to_o prevail_v against_o i_o or_o to_o get_v the_o dominion_n over_o i_o grace_n to_o be_v increase_v daily_o by_o all_o mean_n grace_n if_o it_o be_v not_o continual_o nourish_v and_o increase_v by_o all_o good_a mean_n which_o god_n have_v appoint_v it_o will_v quick_o waste_v and_o decay_v exceed_o how_o many_o have_v we_o see_v that_o of_o strong_a have_v become_v weak_a &_o feeble_a that_o have_v for_o a_o time_n flourish_v with_o many_o excellent_a grace_n and_o be_v as_o green_a olive_n or_o fruitful_a plant_n in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n have_v afterward_o appear_v as_o sear_v tree_n and_o as_o wither_a branch_n as_o though_o they_o have_v almost_o no_o ivice_n or_o sap_n leave_v in_o they_o which_o may_v cause_v they_o to_o bud_v forth_o and_o to_o become_v fruitful_a o_o merciful_a god_n as_o it_o please_v thou_o to_o give_v i_o thy_o grace_n in_o any_o measure_n so_o grant_v that_o i_o maybe_o careful_a always_o to_o use_v all_o mean_n whereby_o it_o may_v be_v preserve_v and_o daily_o strengthen_v and_o increase_v in_o i_o that_o thus_o the_o long_o i_o live_v in_o this_o world_n the_o more_o fruitful_a i_o may_v be_v abound_v in_o every_o good_a work_n my_o last_o day_n maybe_o my_o best_a day_n &_o the_o inward_a man_n of_o my_o soul_n maybe_o renew_a the_o more_o that_o this_o outward_a man_n shall_v perish_v and_o decay_v and_o have_v in_o evermore_o amen_n satan_n guileful_a temptation_n who_o know_v the_o power_n the_o craft_n &_o malice_n of_o satan_n the_o wily_a serpent_n that_o roar_v lion_n he_o walk_v about_o the_o earth_n easy_a prevail_v and_o as_o he_o be_v wary_a in_o choose_v his_o time_n and_o take_v his_o occasion_n and_o opportunity_n so_o be_v he_o as_o cunning_a in_o make_v choice_n of_o the_o mean_n observe_v the_o inclination_n the_o nature_n and_o several_a disposition_n of_o man_n both_o in_o regard_n of_o mind_n &_o of_o body_n thus_o he_o deceive_v the_o perfect_a that_o ever_o be_v on_o earth_n even_o our_o first_o parent_n in_o paradise_n and_o that_o in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o innocence_n and_o integrity_n before_o sin_n have_v make_v man_n so_o subject_a unto_o satan_n as_o now_o all_o be_v thus_o also_o since_o the_o fall_n he_o have_v deceive_v and_o beguile_v the_o wise_a that_o ever_o be_v among_o man_n as_o he_o do_v solomon_n the_o strong_a as_o he_o do_v samson_n the_o holy_a as_o he_o do_v david_n etc._n etc._n there_o be_v no_o place_n so_o holy_a no_o excercise_n so_o good_a which_o can_v quail_v his_o courage_n or_o restrain_v the_o boldness_n of_o his_o those_o which_o be_v most_o secret_a and_o open_a to_o the_o view_n of_o none_o but_o of_o thy_o all-seeing_a majesty_n who_o eye_n pierce_v through_o all_o thing_n and_o see_v and_o discern_v perfect_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v hide_v from_o the_o sight_n of_o man_n and_o which_o we_o ourselves_o be_v ignorant_a of_o cleanse_v i_o both_o in_o soul_n in_o body_n and_o in_o spirit_n from_o the_o filthiness_n of_o all_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n and_o from_o the_o stain_n of_o all_o inbred_a corruption_n and_o so_o sanctify_v i_o throughout_o with_o thy_o grace_n that_o i_o may_v be_v a_o fit_a temple_n and_o mansion_n for_o thy_o holy_a spirit_n to_o rest_v in_o yea_o that_o thou_o may_v delight_v to_o remain_v to_o abide_v and_o to_o dwell_v with_o i_o for_o ever_o which_o be_v the_o only_a happiness_n and_o felicity_n which_o my_o soul_n desire_v and_o long_v for_o and_o which_o i_o know_v assure_o thou_o who_o have_v promise_v it_o will_v not_o deny_v unto_o i_o grieve_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n thou_o be_v unwilling_a to_o give_v just_a occasion_n whereby_o thy_o kind_a friend_n may_v be_v grieve_v and_o so_o for_o thy_o unkind_a deal_n with_o he_o be_v move_v to_o leave_v thou_o and_o depart_v from_o thou_o in_o displeasure_n have_v no_o delight_n no_o desire_n to_o return_v any_o more_o unto_o thou_o not_o scarce_o though_o he_o be_v much_o comfortable_a presence_n of_o he_o though_o thou_o shall_v hereafter_o never_o so_o oft_o and_o so_o earnest_o seek_v and_o sue_v unto_o he_o o_o my_o god_n forgive_v i_o my_o sin_n whereby_o i_o have_v heretofore_o grieve_v that_o holy_a spirit_n of_o thou_o by_o who_o thou_o have_v seal_v i_o and_o assure_v i_o of_o those_o gracious_a promise_n which_o thou_o have_v make_v unto_o i_o in_o thy_o christ_n forgive_v i_o those_o manifold_a sin_n and_o transgression_n whereby_o i_o have_v from_o time_n to_o time_n most_o grievous_o displease_v and_o provoke_v thy_o majesty_n who_o haste_v time_n by_o reason_n of_o my_o sin_n which_o only_o can_v make_v a_o separation_n and_o division_n between_o he_o and_o i_o and_o cause_v he_o to_o withdraw_v the_o light_n of_o his_o gracious_a countenance_n from_o i_o but_o sure_o i_o be_o that_o he_o will_v never_o utter_o forsake_v i_o for_o his_o foundation_n be_v sure_o lay_v his_o love_n and_o grace_n be_v unchangeable_a he_o have_v be_v once_o nay_o often_o gracious_a unto_o i_o and_o will_v continue_v so_o for_o ever_o o_o my_o god_n keep_v i_o from_o sin_v against_o thou_o so_o shall_v the_o light_n of_o thy_o countenance_n shine_v always_o upon_o i_o so_o shall_v i_o feel_v the_o comfort_n of_o thy_o presence_n remain_v with_o i_o in_o life_n in_o death_n after_o death_n even_o for_o ever_o the_o truth_n and_o the_o heat_n of_o summer_n nothing_o then_o will_v afford_v the_o like_a comfort_n unto_o this_o will_v thou_o see_v this_o as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o glass_n clear_o represent_v unto_o thy_o view_n suppose_v that_o even_o now_o thou_o see_v one_o lie_v at_o the_o point_n of_o death_n upon_o the_o bed_n of_o his_o sorrow_n ready_a to_o take_v his_o last_o farewell_n of_o the_o world_n &_o to_o lay_v down_o his_o body_n in_o the_o dust_n where_o he_o shall_v have_v corruption_n to_o be_v his_o father_n and_o the_o crawl_a worm_n his_o mother_n and_o his_o sister_n and_o the_o grave_a his_o house_n and_o dwell_a place_n for_o a_o long_a season_n while_o his_o soul_n be_v separate_v from_o his_o body_n shall_v depart_v into_o a_o far_a country_n suppose_v now_o at_o this_o instant_n thou_o see_v one_o in_o this_o estate_n as_o thus_o most_o certain_a it_o shall_v be_v with_o thou_o with_o i_o with_o all_o of_o we_o what_o think_v thou_o will_v be_v the_o great_a comfort_n unto_o he_o what_o be_v it_o that_o will_v most_o refresh_v he_o and_o cheer_v he_o up_o fine_a fare_n or_o sweet_a iuncat_n alas_o he_o take_v no_o pleasure_n in_o they_o he_o can_v taste_v they_o though_o they_o be_v never_o so_o dainty_a or_o if_o he_o can_v yet_o shall_v he_o take_v no_o delight_n nor_o find_v any_o sweetness_n in_o they_o for_o it_o be_v his_o soul_n that_o now_o hunger_n and_o thirst_v and_o seek_v for_o comfort_n while_o his_o body_n be_v almost_o senseless_a he_o desire_v he_o look_v for_o spiritual_a food_n wherewith_o his_o faint_a soul_n and_o languish_a spirit_n may_v be_v feed_v and_o refresh_v and_o not_o for_o corporal_a yea_o that_o be_v loathsome_a unto_o he_o sweet_a music_n and_o delightsome_a melody_n alas_o the_o daughter_n of_o sing_v be_v now_o abase_v he_o be_v almost_o past_a hear_n and_o though_o he_o can_v hear_v it_o never_o so_o well_o yet_o it_o will_v not_o be_v any_o refresh_n unto_o he_o he_o can_v not_o solace_v himself_o in_o it_o yea_o it_o will_v seem_v harsh_a in_o his_o ear_n and_o unpleasant_a unto_o his_o mind_n it_o be_v another_o kind_n of_o music_n and_o melody_n which_o he_o belong_v to_o hear_v and_o hearken_v after_o that_o therein_o he_o may_v find_v sound_a joy_n and_o true_a comfort_n in_o that_o his_o extremity_n his_o pleasure_n profit_n or_o great_a revenue_n in_o this_o world_n neither_o can_v these_o comfort_v he_o in_o that_o hour_n they_o will_v not_o afford_v he_o any_o true_a joy_n pleasure_n or_o delight_n no_o though_o he_o may_v even_o swim_v and_o bathe_v himself_o in_o the_o abundance_n of_o they_o yea_o rather_o they_o will_v be_v a_o trouble_n unto_o he_o they_o will_v disquiet_v &_o distract_v his_o mind_n both_o because_o he_o now_o see_v that_o he_o be_v present_o to_o leave_v they_o for_o ever_o &_o to_o give_v a_o final_a farewell_n unto_o they_o never_o to_o have_v any_o use_n or_o benefit_n of_o they_o afterward_o as_o also_o and_o that_o especial_o because_o he_o hear_v any_o music_n that_o so_o much_o delight_v he_o oh_o how_o will_v it_o cheer_v up_o his_o soul_n and_o refresh_v his_o mind_n cause_v he_o to_o break_v forth_o into_o that_o speech_n of_o the_o holy_a prophet_n why_o be_v thou_o so_o cast_v down_o o_o my_o soul_n why_o be_v thou_o so_o disquiet_v &_o so_o trouble_v within_o i_o o_o put_v thy_o trust_n in_o god_n even_o thy_o god_n rejoice_v although_o it_o be_v grievous_a unto_o we_o yet_o it_o be_v good_a for_o we_o to_o be_v under_o the_o cross_n it_o be_v no_o small_a benefit_n which_o we_o receive_v by_o affliction_n if_o we_o look_v diminish_v in_o he_o as_o much_o as_o the_o one_o increase_v so_o much_o the_o other_o of_o necessity_n must_v decrease_v o_o lord_n who_o have_v manifest_v thy_o love_n so_o rich_o towards_o i_o grant_v that_o my_o soul_n may_v delight_v in_o thou_o and_o that_o i_o may_v love_v thou_o with_o my_o whole_a heart_n yea_o that_o the_o affection_n of_o my_o love_n may_v be_v set_v and_o fix_v upon_o thou_o alone_o who_o only_o be_v worthy_a to_o be_v love_v above_o all_o thing_n and_o that_o if_o i_o love_v or_o affect_v any_o thing_n else_o it_o may_v not_o be_v otherwise_o then_o in_o glory_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n o_o lord_n though_o other_o be_v wilful_o blind_a and_o so_o most_o miserable_a while_o they_o see_v it_o not_o yet_o open_v thou_o my_o eye_n ever_o more_o and_o more_o suffer_v not_o sin_n with_o the_o deceitfulnes_n thereof_o to_o draw_v any_o film_n over_o they_o but_o give_v i_o daily_o a_o clear_a sight_n of_o my_o own_o misery_n and_o of_o thy_o be_v and_o show_v themselves_o to_o be_v of_o that_o great_a that_o powerful_a and_o immortal_a god_n who_o name_n be_v terrible_a yea_o who_o be_v able_a present_o to_o cast_v they_o both_o soul_n and_o body_n into_o hell_n for_o ever_o there_o to_o have_v their_o portion_n among_o the_o damn_a either_o man_n be_v atheist_n and_o think_v there_o be_v no_o god_n for_o they_o that_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n can_v not_o but_o know_v that_o his_o power_n be_v infinite_a and_o therefore_o must_v needs_o fear_v he_o more_o than_o any_o man_n who_o power_n be_v but_o finite_a when_o it_o be_v great_a or_o else_o they_o be_v marvelous_a desperate_a who_o though_o they_o know_v and_o will_v acknowledge_v the_o power_n and_o the_o fierceness_n of_o his_o wrath_n yet_o fear_v
