this_o be_v most_o agreeable_a to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n concern_v this_o matter_n for_o as_o without_o outward_a food_n the_o natural_a body_n have_v not_o life_n so_o also_o say_v christ_n part_n agree_v in_o this_o general_n yet_o how_o do_v they_o contend_v and_o debate_v one_o against_o another_o how_o strange_o be_v they_o pinch_v pain_a and_o straighten_a to_o make_v this_o spiritual_a mystery_n agree_v to_o that_o ceremony_n and_o what_o monstrous_a and_o wild_a opinion_n and_o conceiving_n have_v they_o invent_v to_o enclose_v or_o affix_v the_o body_n of_o christ_n to_o their_o bread_n and_o wine_n from_o which_o opinion_n not_o only_o the_o great_a and_o fierce_a and_o most_o hurtful_a contest_v both_o among_o the_o professor_n of_o christianity_n in_o general_n
wrest_v the_o scripture_n for_o to_o tie_v this_o spiritual_a communion_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n to_o outward_a bread_n and_o wine_n and_o such_o like_a carnal_a ordinance_n no_o wonder_n if_o by_o their_o carnal_a apprehension_n they_o run_v into_o heap_n and_o confusion_n but_o because_o it_o have_v be_v general_o suppose_v that_o the_o communion_n of_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n have_v some_o special_a relation_n to_o the_o ceremony_n of_o break_v bread_n i_o shall_v first_o refute_v that_o opinion_n and_o then_o proceed_v to_o consider_v the_o nature_n and_o use_v of_o that_o ceremony_n and_o whether_o it_o be_v now_o necessary_a to_o continue_v answer_v the_o reason_n and_o objection_n of_o such_o as_o plead_v its_o continuance_n as_o a_o necessary_a and_o stand_a ordinance_n of_o jesus_n christ._n §_o v._o first_o it_o must_v be_v understand_v that_o i_o speak_v of_o a_o necessary_a and_o peculiar_a relation_n precept_n otherwise_o than_o in_o a_o general_a respect_n for_o forasmuch_o as_o our_o communion_n with_o christ_n be_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v our_o great_a and_o chief_a work_n we_o ought_v to_o do_v all_o other_o thing_n with_o a_o respect_n to_o god_n and_o our_o fellowship_n with_o he_o but_o a_o special_a and_o necessary_a respect_n or_o relation_n be_v such_o as_o where_o the_o two_o thing_n be_v tie_v and_o unite_v together_o either_o of_o their_o own_o nature_n or_o by_o the_o command_n of_o god_n that_o the_o one_o can_v be_v enjoy_v or_o at_o least_o be_v not_o except_o very_o extraordinary_o without_o the_o other_o thus_o salvation_n have_v a_o necessary_a respect_n to_o holiness_n because_o without_o holiness_n no_o man_n shall_v see_v god_n and_o the_o eat_v of_o the_o flesh_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n have_v a_o necessary_a respect_n to_o our_o have_a life_n because_o if_o we_o eat_v not_o his_o flesh_n and_o drink_v not_o his_o blood_n we_o can_v have_v life_n and_o our_o feel_n of_o god_n presence_n have_v a_o necessary_a respect_n to_o our_o be_v find_v meet_v in_o his_o name_n by_o divine_a precept_n because_o he_o have_v promise_v where_o two_o or_o three_o be_v meet_v together_o in_o his_o name_n he_o will_v be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o they_o in_o like_a manner_n our_o receive_a benefit_n and_o blessing_n from_o god_n have_v a_o necessary_a respect_n to_o our_o pray_v because_o if_o we_o ask_v he_o have_v promise_v we_o shall_v receive_v now_o the_o communion_n or_o participation_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n have_v no_o such_o my_o body_n and_o bless_v the_o cup_n 19_o he_o give_v it_o they_o to_o drink_v say_v this_o be_v my_o blood_n but_o nothing_o of_o any_o desire_n to_o they_o to_o do_v it_o in_o the_o last_o after_o
