as_o they_o know_v not_o how_o to_o live_v without_o christ_n even_o as_o a_o man_n that_o be_v a_o hunger_v can_v live_v without_o his_o meat_n and_o drink_n and_o so_o for_o the_o soul_n to_o have_v such_o a_o disposition_n after_o christ_n this_o be_v a_o rare_a thing_n but_o know_v that_o god_n name_n be_v not_o sanctify_v unless_o thou_o do_v come_v in_o such_o a_o way_n unto_o this_o holy_a sacrament_n that_o be_v the_o four_o thing_n hungry_a and_o thirsty_a desire_n after_o christ_n from_o a_o deep_a sense_n of_o the_o need_n of_o he_o and_o the_o apprehension_n of_o the_o excellency_n in_o he_o 5_o in_o the_o five_o place_n there_o must_v be_v a_o exercise_n of_o faith_n for_o the_o sanctify_a of_o god_n name_v here_o faith_n that_o be_v both_o the_o hand_n and_o the_o mouth_n eye_n of_o faith_n if_o thou_o come_v only_o with_o bodily_a eye_n to_o look_v upon_o what_o be_v here_o thou_o see_v nothing_o but_o a_o little_a bread_n and_o wine_n but_o now_o where_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n be_v there_o be_v a_o real_a appearance_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o the_o soul_n as_o if_o christ_n be_v bodily_a present_n and_o we_o need_v not_o have_v the_o bread_n turn_v into_o his_o body_n for_o faith_n can_v see_v the_o body_n of_o christ_n through_o the_o bread_n and_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n gush_v in_o the_o wine_n and_o it_o be_v a_o mighty_a thing_n to_o have_v christ_n and_o such_o spiritual_a thing_n make_v real_a and_o not_o to_o be_v a_o fancy_n if_o one_o look_v upon_o the_o fire_n that_o be_v paint_v one_o can_v heat_v one_o self_n in_o cold_a weather_n with_o that_o but_o fire_n that_o be_v real_o burn_v upon_o the_o hearth_n so_o those_o that_o come_v to_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n and_o not_o come_v with_o faith_n that_o have_v only_o the_o eye_n of_o their_o body_n they_o only_o see_v as_o it_o be_v a_o paint_a christ_n they_o do_v not_o see_v christ_n real_o his_o body_n and_o blood_n and_o those_o great_a mystery_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v not_o present_v as_o real_a thing_n to_o their_o soul_n and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o they_o go_v away_o and_o get_v nothing_o but_o now_o when_o the_o soul_n come_v with_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n the_o soul_n see_v the_o wonderful_a thing_n of_o god_n it_o be_v the_o most_o glorious_a sight_n in_o the_o world_n all_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n in_o the_o heaven_n and_o earth_n be_v not_o like_o this_o fight_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o gospel_n that_o do_v appear_v to_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n therefore_o you_o may_v by_o this_o know_v whether_o you_o have_v come_v with_o faith_n or_o no_o to_o the_o sacrament_n whether_o you_o have_v see_v the_o most_o glorious_a fight_n that_o ever_o your_o eye_n do_v behold_v alas_o with_o our_o natural_a 12._o latterend_a they_o shall_v look_v on_o he_o who_o they_o have_v pierce_v by_o their_o sin_n and_o then_o mourn_v and_o lament_v this_o eye_n of_o faith_n will_v cause_v mourning_n and_o lament_v for_o sin_n and_o then_o as_o faith_n be_v the_o eye_n to_o make_v what_o be_v here_o real_a so_o faith_n be_v the_o hand_n to_o take_v it_o when_o you_o come_v to_o a_o feast_n you_o must_v have_v something_o to_o take_v the_o meat_n to_o you_o so_o say_v christ_n he_o break_v bread_n and_o give_v it_o to_o his_o disciple_n say_v take_v eat_v this_o take_v it_o how_o shall_v we_o take_v it_o by_o reach_v out_o of_o the_o hand_n if_o you_o sanctify_v god_n name_n in_o this_o ordinance_n as_o you_o reach_v out_o your_o hand_n to_o take_v the_o bread_n and_o wine_n so_o there_o must_v be_v and_o say_v soul_n here_o receive_v a_o new_a this_o day_n my_o son_n with_o all_o that_o he_o have_v purchase_v for_o thy_o good_a now_o than_o the_o soul_n act_v upon_o this_o and_o by_o stir_v up_o without_o which_o we_o can_v sanctify_v the_o name_n of_o god_n six_o there_o must_v be_v spiritual_a joy_n that_o must_v be_v exercise_v here_o for_o it_o be_v a_o feast_n here_o we_o come_v to_o sit_v with_o christ_n at_o his_o table_n we_o come_v as_o child_n to_o our_o father_n table_n and_o to_o sit_v there_o with_o jesus_n christ_n our_o elder_a brother_n now_o as_o a_o father_n do_v not_o love_n to_o have_v his_o child_n set_v in_o a_o sullen_a and_o dogged_a way_n at_o his_o table_n or_o to_o be_v cry_v but_o he_o will_v have_v the_o child_n set_v in_o comfort_n and_o with_o a_o holy_a cheerfulness_n with_o a_o holy_a freedom_n of_o spirit_n not_o in_o a_o sullen_a way_n but_o as_o a_o child_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o his_o father_n and_o not_o as_o a_o servant_n with_o the_o master_n object_n you_o tell_v we_o before_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v brokenness_n of_o spirit_n and_o sense_n of_o our_o sin_n answ_n that_o may_v be_v and_o joy_n we_o rejoice_v with_o tremble_v therefore_o that_o brokennesse_n of_o spirit_n that_o i_o mean_v must_v not_o be_v slavish_a horror_n and_o fear_n but_o a_o kind_o melt_v of_o the_o soul_n from_o the_o apprehension_n of_o godly_a sorrow_n and_o evangelical_a joy_n may_v stand_v together_o very_o well_o and_o therefore_o know_v that_o this_o be_v not_o the_o time_n neither_o to_o give_v liberty_n to_o have_v your_o heart_n â—nk_v no_o there_o must_v be_v no_o sink_a sorrow_n of_o heart_n but_o such_o a_o sorrow_n of_o heart_n as_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o it_o you_o may_v be_v able_a to_o look_v upon_o god_n as_o a_o reconcile_a father_n to_o you_o and_o have_v a_o cheerfulness_n of_o spirit_n as_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n you_o must_v look_v upon_o yourselves_o as_o god_n guest_n to_o be_v merry_a he_o give_v thanks_o for_o what_o he_o give_v thanks_o to_o god_n the_o father_n that_o he_o be_v please_v to_o send_v he_o into_o the_o world_n to_o die_v for_o poor_a soul_n now_o shall_v jesus_n have_v not_o reveal_v it_o we_o have_v not_o be_v bind_v to_o it_o therefore_o in_o these_o duty_n of_o institution_n god_n stand_v very_o punctual_a upon_o they_o we_o must_v be_v very_o axact_a neither_o to_o erse_v on_o the_o right_a hand_n nor_o the_o left_a to_o make_v any_o alteration_n in_o the_o point_n of_o institution_n now_o therefore_o for_o the_o institution_n of_o this_o
