in_o this_o petition_n yet_o this_o be_v not_o all_o we_o pray_v for_o as_o the_o antinomian_n contend_v for_o we_o pray_v principal_o for_o the_o real_a exhibition_n of_o pardon_n and_o secondary_o for_o the_o declaration_n and_o manifestation_n of_o it_o in_o our_o conscience_n their_o conceit_n be_v that_o god_n from_o all_o eternity_n have_v pardon_v our_o sin_n past_a present_a and_o to_o come_v and_o that_o when_o we_o believe_v or_o repent_v our_o sin_n be_v pardon_v declarative_o only_a to_o our_o conscience_n they_o be_v forgive_v before_o this_o i_o shall_v handle_v in_o a_o question_n by_o it_o self_n only_o i_o shall_v lay_v down_o some_o few_o argument_n to_o prove_v that_o we_o do_v not_o only_o pray_v for_o assurance_n and_o manifestation_n of_o pardon_n but_o also_o for_o pardon_v itself_o the_o reason_n be_v these_o only_o first_o we_o may_v by_o the_o same_o rule_n interpret_v all_o the_o other_o petition_n in_o regard_n of_o declaration_n only_o and_o not_o exhibition_n when_o we_o pray_v for_o sanctification_n and_o glorification_n in_o that_o petition_n thy_o kingdom_n come_v it_o may_v be_v as_o well_o say_v 1._o that_o we_o be_v sanctify_v and_o glorify_v from_o all_o eternity_n and_o therefore_o when_o we_o be_v convert_v or_o save_v in_o heaven_n this_o be_v but_o to_o our_o sense_n and_o feeling_n this_o argument_n seem_v to_o be_v so_o strong_a against_o they_o that_o they_o have_v confess_v a_o man_n be_v already_o glorify_v while_o he_o be_v upon_o earth_n most_o absurd_o confound_v the_o decree_n of_o god_n from_o eternity_n to_o do_v thing_n with_o the_o execution_n of_o they_o in_o time_n how_o ridiculous_a will_v it_o be_v to_o expound_v that_o petition_n give_v we_o our_o daily_a bread_n thus_o not_o that_o god_n shall_v give_v we_o daily_a bread_n but_o only_o make_v we_o to_o see_v and_o feel_v that_o he_o have_v give_v it_o we_o a_o second_o reason_n be_v from_o the_o nature_n of_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n â—_o when_o sin_n be_v pardon_v it_o be_v say_v to_o be_v blot_v out_o now_o that_o blot_v out_o be_v not_o only_o from_o a_o man_n conscience_n and_o feeling_n but_o more_o immediate_o out_o of_o god_n book_n so_o that_o when_o god_n do_v forgive_v he_o do_v cancel_v those_o debt_n which_o be_v in_o his_o book_n and_o not_o only_o the_o guilt_n that_o lie_v upon_o our_o heart_n therefore_o these_o be_v very_o separable_a the_o one_o from_o the_o other_o a_o man_n may_v feel_v no_o weight_n or_o burden_n of_o sin_n upon_o he_o and_o yet_o it_o stand_v in_o fiery_a character_n against_o he_o in_o god_n book_n and_o on_o the_o contrary_a a_o sin_n may_v be_v blot_v out_o there_o yet_o be_v very_o heavy_a and_o terrible_a in_o a_o man_n feeling_n and_o apprehension_n so_o sin_n pardon_v be_v say_v to_o be_v cover_v or_o hide_v not_o in_o respect_n of_o we_o as_o if_o it_o be_v take_v from_o our_o sight_n but_o from_o god_n sight_n and_o he_o be_v say_v to_o cast_v our_o sin_n behind_o his_o back_n not_o we_o the_o three_o reason_n this_o explication_n 3._o as_o the_o whole_a sense_n of_o the_o petition_n will_v overthrow_v all_o other_o place_n of_o scripture_n which_o make_v no_o pardon_n of_o sin_n to_o be_v but_o where_o the_o subject_n have_v such_o qualification_n as_o this_o in_o the_o text_n of_o forgive_n other_o it_o be_v not_o indeed_o put_v as_o a_o cause_n or_o merit_n but_o yet_o it_o be_v as_o a_o qualification_n of_o the_o subject_n therefore_o our_o saviour_n repeat_v this_o again_o except_o you_o forgive_v other_o neither_o will_v my_o heavenly_a father_n forgive_v you_o so_o act._n 10.43_o whosoever_o believe_v on_o he_o shall_v have_v remission_n of_o sin_n rom._n 3.15_o he_o be_v a_o propitiation_n through_o faith_n in_o his_o blood_n convey_v his_o grace_n in_o no_o other_o channel_n or_o conduit_n than_o he_o have_v appoint_v 4._o last_o this_o will_v make_v no_o difference_n between_o sin_n repent_v of_o and_o not_o repent_v of_o for_o if_o they_o be_v all_o pardon_v from_o eternity_n than_o sin_n that_o be_v humble_v for_o and_o that_o be_v unhumble_v for_o have_v the_o like_a consideration_n on_o god_n part_n and_o i_o may_v feel_v the_o pardon_n of_o the_o latter_a though_o not_o repent_v of_o as_o well_o as_o the_o former_a yea_o i_o may_v have_v the_o sense_n of_o the_o pardon_n of_o all_o the_o sin_n i_o shall_v commit_v for_o the_o future_a and_o so_o whereas_o i_o pray_v for_o daily_a bread_n not_o tomorrow_n bread_n i_o shall_v here_o beg_v for_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o pardon_n not_o only_o of_o my_o sin_n to_o day_n but_o tomorrow_o and_o the_o next_o year_n but_o i_o never_o read_v that_o god_n make_v such_o a_o jubilee_n as_o one_o pope_n do_v who_o promise_v a_o plenary_a indulgence_n not_o still_o sin_n have_v some_o power_n we_o therefore_o pray_v that_o whatsoever_o mortality_n and_o corruption_n sin_n have_v bring_v in_o it_o may_v be_v take_v away_o and_o we_o make_v fit_a for_o to_o give_v they_o grace_n to_o repent_v and_o recover_v and_o yet_o he_o do_v not_o will_n salvation_n to_o they_o till_o they_o do_v recover_v here_o be_v no_o contrariety_n in_o god_n will_n because_o though_o this_o be_v about_o the_o same_o person_n yet_o not_o in_o the_o same_o respect_n for_o god_n will_v not_o to_o give_v salvation_n while_n in_o such_o a_o estate_n and_o to_o give_v repentance_n that_o he_o may_v come_v out_o of_o that_o estate_n do_v no_o way_n oppose_v one_o another_o and_o because_o of_o this_o late_a mercy_n it_o be_v that_o we_o may_v always_o say_v there_o be_v no_o condemnation_n to_o those_o that_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n their_o sin_n be_v never_o impute_v to_o they_o for_o their_o condemnation_n but_o there_o be_v a_o conditional_a oblige_v of_o they_o till_o they_o sue_v out_o their_o pardon_n so_o that_o it_o be_v here_o as_o solomon_n do_v with_o abiathar_n 1_o kin._n 2.26_o thou_o be_v say_v solomon_n worthy_a of_o death_n but_o i_o
