break_v their_o heart_n with_o the_o apprehension_n of_o their_o miserable_a estate_n by_o reason_n of_o sin_n and_o that_o they_o come_v to_o feel_v god_n terrible_a anger_n and_o displeasure_n against_o they_o for_o the_o same_o the_o lord_n know_v that_o these_o heart_n of_o we_o be_v many_o time_n so_o hard_o that_o our_o great_a sin_n have_v little_a effect_n upon_o our_o soul_n to_o work_v that_o godly_a sorrow_n and_o humiliation_n as_o our_o sin_n have_v deserve_v but_o when_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v please_v to_o bring_v a_o sinner_n to_o the_o rack_n and_o there_o lie_v weight_n upon_o weight_n upon_o he_o and_o to_o the_o weight_n of_o his_o sin_n add_v the_o weight_n of_o his_o anger_n and_o sore_a affliction_n this_o deal_n of_o the_o lord_n with_o a_o poor_a sinner_n many_o time_n cause_v such_o a_o stream_n of_o tear_n which_o bathe_v the_o soul_n in_o the_o water_n of_o true_a repentance_n and_o bring_v the_o sinner_n to_o a_o hearty_a confession_n of_o his_o sin_n how_o be_v jacobs_n son_n wrought_v upon_o by_o their_o trouble_n in_o egypt_n that_o their_o sin_n against_o their_o innocent_a brother_n sell_v he_o for_o a_o bondslave_n shall_v lie_v sin_n beside_o the_o example_n the_o scripture_n afford_v we_o be_v many_o as_o manasses_n 11._o 2_o chron._n 33.10_o 11._o the_o prodigal_a the_o jailor_n and_o those_o cruel_a jew_n reas_n 1_o such_o only_o be_v capable_a of_o mercy_n from_o god_n when_o in_o the_o sense_n of_o their_o own_o misery_n and_o apprehension_n of_o god_n displeasure_n they_o become_v fit_a object_n of_o mercy_n
