because_o of_o god_n choice_n so_o it_o be_v the_o honourable_a life_n that_o can_v be_v there_o be_v no_o life_n in_o this_o world_n so_o honourable_a as_o the_o life_n of_o faith_n first_o it_o be_v wonderful_o honourable_a to_o god_n when_o his_o redeem_v one_o have_v their_o whole_a livelihood_n from_o he_o without_o hang_v upon_o every_o hedge_n but_o to_o acknowledge_v the_o lord_n i_o to_o of_o god_n nor_o can_v he_o they_o be_v spiritual_o discern_v and_o therefore_o if_o it_o shall_v prove_v a_o riddle_n to_o many_o of_o you_o you_o may_v have_v cause_n to_o suspect_v your_o condition_n but_o not_o to_o suspect_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o doctrine_n yea_o second_o i_o premise_v that_o man_n may_v be_v in_o the_o church_n live_v in_o the_o church_n and_o have_v admirable_a learning_n and_o admirable_a ability_n to_o judge_n of_o all_o other_o thing_n that_o fall_v under_o humane_a capacity_n yet_o not_o be_v able_a to_o look_v upon_o this_o any_o otherwise_o than_o as_o a_o mere_a whimsy_n or_o a_o dark_a riddle_n nicodemus_n who_o be_v a_o doctor_n a_o pharisee_fw-mi a_o ruler_n &_o a_o honest_a man_n according_a to_o his_o principle_n he_o have_v be_v train_v up_o under_o yet_o when_o he_o come_v to_o christ_n to_o know_v the_o way_n to_o heaven_n he_o tell_v he_o all_o his_o other_o righteousness_n be_v nothing_o if_o he_o be_v not_o bear_v again_o and_o than_o some_o gather_n they_o have_v some_o real_a knowledge_n i_o hope_v i_o shall_v make_v good_a to_o you_o but_o for_o a_o full_a clear_a understanding_n of_o it_o it_o be_v not_o attainable_a in_o this_o world_n no_o more_o than_o as_o our_o lord_n speak_v of_o the_o wind_n that_o we_o hear_v the_o noise_n of_o it_o but_o understand_v not_o where_o it_o rise_v nor_o when_o it_o will_v end_v and_o no_o marvel_n that_o it_o be_v not_o thus_o intelligible_a because_o partly_o from_o the_o depth_n of_o the_o thing_n themselves_o they_o be_v the_o operation_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o partly_o from_o the_o weakness_n and_o corruption_n of_o our_o faculty_n and_o understanding_n which_o in_o truth_n know_v nothing_o perfect_o no_o man_n do_v understand_v how_o his_o own_o bone_n be_v frame_v in_o his_o mother_n womb_n and_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v before_o our_o eye_n not_o a_o man_n live_v be_v able_a to_o decipher_v the_o life_n of_o a_o pismire_n or_o a_o butterfly_n therefore_o much_o less_o must_v you_o think_v to_o be_v able_a to_o comprehend_v this_o for_o this_o

a_o argument_n to_o humble_v thou_o but_o not_o to_o discourage_v thou_o only_o i_o shall_v add_v this_o in_o the_o last_o place_n they_o that_o live_v this_o life_n the_o poor_a weak_a simple_a of_o all_o that_o be_v number_v among_o the_o lord_n people_n though_o other_o may_v be_v able_a to_o dispute_v of_o it_o better_o than_o they_o and_o to_o speak_v of_o it_o to_o the_o edification_n of_o other_o better_o than_o they_o yet_o they_o that_o live_v this_o life_n know_v more_o of_o it_o than_o all_o the_o world_n beside_o i_o only_o give_v you_o these_o little_a thing_n beforehand_o now_o the_o life_n that_o other_o people_n live_v that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o life_n and_o i_o will_v tell_v you_o why_o i_o undertake_v to_o prove_v this_o because_o as_o natural_a man_n do_v not_o understand_v it_o so_o out_o of_o the_o pride_n of_o their_o heart_n disdain_v that_o there_o shall_v be_v any_o happiness_n that_o the_o poor_a creature_n enjoy_v which_o they_o themselves_o can_v understand_v thereupon_o they_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o thing_n and_o i_o be_o confident_a that_o most_o people_n that_o live_v when_o they_o hear_v man_n talk_v of_o the_o life_n of_o god_n and_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n and_o a_o new_a life_n a_o supernatural_a life_n a_o spiritual_a life_n they_o look_v upon_o it_o as_o a_o mere_a juggle_n partly_o in_o the_o minister_n to_o make_v the_o world_n believe_v that_o they_o know_v more_o than_o other_o do_v and_o the_o simple_a people_n that_o follow_v they_o that_o they_o may_v have_v somewhat_o to_o cloak_v their_o fantasticalness_n they_o give_v it_o out_o but_o for_o the_o thing_n there_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n this_o man_n believe_v and_o the_o rather_o because_o it_o be_v a_o hide_a life_n and_o hide_v both_o under_o the_o poverty_n and_o weakness_n of_o those_o that_o have_v it_o and_o many_o time_n hide_v under_o their_o infirmity_n and_o corruption_n that_o break_v out_o which_o make_v they_o look_v like_o other_o man_n and_o so_o man_n force_v upon_o themselves_o and_o nourish_v in_o themselves_o a_o conceit_n that_o though_o some_o it_o may_v be_v may_v be_v honest_a man_n than_o other_o and_o strict_a and_o devout_a and_o the_o like_a yet_o this_o be_v but_o a_o little_a chip_n and_o he_o wing_n of_o the_o life_n that_o other_o man_n live_v and_o can_v live_v as_o they_o do_v if_o can_v close_v with_o they_o so_o that_o i_o be_o far_o from_o say_v that_o no_o man_n live_v the_o life_n of_o faith_n but_o he_o that_o understand_v that_o he_o act_v all_o these_o thing_n but_o he_o may_v understand_v they_o real_o well_o this_o lay_v as_o the_o foundation_n you_o will_v pardon_v i_o though_o i_o take_v a_o little_a time_n to_o give_v you_o a_o taste_n of_o the_o application_n
