mere_a change_n of_o the_o object_n will_v not_o render_v a_o natural_a affection_n or_o passion_n spiritual_n there_o may_v be_v much_o natural_a carnal_a joy_n in_o a_o spiritual_a and_o supernatural_a object_n as_o heb._n 6.4_o even_o as_o there_o may_v be_v a_o spiritual_a joy_n when_o the_o immediate_a object_n be_v natural_a and_o so_o of_o other_o affection_n if_o you_o object_n towards_o spiritual_a object_n though_o indeed_o this_o contribute_v nothing_o to_o their_o spirituality_n sin_n and_o grace_n they_o be_v seat_v in_o the_o same_o power_n and_o faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o when_o sin_n command_v the_o more_o lively_a these_o power_n and_o faculty_n be_v the_o more_o be_v the_o act_n of_o sin_n advantage_v and_o so_o it_o be_v also_o when_o grace_n be_v uppermost_a whether_o in_o the_o understanding_n or_o the_o will_n or_o the_o affection_n as_o on_o the_o other_o hand_n when_o the_o natural_a vigour_n of_o the_o soul_n especial_o of_o the_o affection_n be_v go_v or_o any_o way_n obstruct_v the_o act_n of_o grace_n in_o they_o be_v not_o so_o sensible_a and_o seem_v low_a and_o faint_a hence_o many_o age_a person_n and_o other_o be_v apt_a to_o conclude_v hardly_o against_o themselves_o at_o least_o to_o apprehend_v a_o decay_n of_o grace_n when_o there_o be_v none_o therefore_o when_o you_o find_v any_o of_o these_o vigorous_a and_o fresh_a let_v grace_n set_v they_o on_o work_n and_o if_o there_o be_v any_o particular_a affection_n more_o lively_a and_o stir_v than_o another_o heavenly_a wisdom_n direct_v we_o to_o see_v that_o that_o be_v well_o employ_v and_o if_o it_o be_v in_o the_o hand_n or_o possession_n of_o sin_n to_o redeem_v and_o rescue_v it_o unto_o its_o proper_a use_n whatever_o principle_n or_o object_n do_v first_o move_v excite_v or_o draw_v it_o forth_o the_o power_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o all_o their_o operation_n be_v capable_a of_o good_a or_o evil_n as_o they_o be_v use_v as_o a_o strong_a castle_n or_o sharp_a sword_n may_v be_v well_o or_o ill_o use_v yea_o suppose_v a_o usurp_a enemy_n help_v to_o fortify_v the_o castle_n or_o sharpen_v the_o sword_n if_o they_o can_v be_v take_v from_o he_o they_o may_v be_v use_v to_o the_o more_o advantage_n against_o he_o now_o two_o i_o tell_v you_o that_o by_o the_o spirit_n in_o the_o text_n be_v especial_o to_o be_v understand_v
