quality_n or_o condition_n soever_o can_v say_v religion_n and_o godliness_n be_v impracticable_a by_o person_n of_o our_o condition_n and_o circumstance_n in_o the_o world_n have_v then_o pattern_n of_o piety_n in_o all_o rank_n and_o condition_n of_o man_n let_v we_o set_v these_o example_n before_o we_o and_o ask_v grace_n and_o implore_v aid_n from_o god_n through_o the_o mediator_n christ_n jesus_n let_v we_o imitate_v they_o and_o be_v holy_a as_o they_o be_v in_o all_o manner_n of_o conversation_n and_o beside_o these_o ancient_a example_n we_o have_v some_o in_o this_o present_a age_n sin_n with_o we_o be_v very_o active_a sin_n within_o always_o work_v and_o labour_n to_o bring_v forth_o the_o deed_n of_o the_o flesh_n it_o be_v always_o either_o incline_v to_o evil_a or_o hinder_v from_o good_a or_o disframe_v the_o soul_n and_o make_v it_o less_o meet_a for_o converse_v with_o god_n it_o deceive_v seduce_v and_o tempt_v and_o in_o some_o measure_n corrupt_v and_o pollute_v all_o that_o we_o perform_v to_o god_n or_o do_v for_o he_o xxxii_o sin_n can_v be_v mortify_v by_o our_o own_o strength_n i_o find_v a_o aptness_n when_o sin_n afflict_v i_o present_o to_o promise_v to_o my_o self_n and_o god_n that_o i_o will_v do_v so_o no_o more_o and_o do_v resolve_v by_o watchfulness_n and_o prayer_n to_o prevent_v it_o and_o this_o will_v do_v something_o for_o a_o season_n till_o my_o heat_n abate_v and_o my_o sense_n of_o sin_n wear_v off_o and_o then_o my_o mortification_n vanish_v also_o therefore_o i_o resolve_v never_o to_o think_v of_o mortify_a sin_n by_o my_o own_o strength_n but_o humble_o to_o look_v up_o to_o god_n for_o the_o help_n of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n xxxiii_o there_o arise_v a_o great_a pleasure_n from_o have_v resist_v temptation_n there_o will_v never_o be_v find_v so_o much_o satisfaction_n in_o gratify_v a_o temptation_n as_o in_o a_o noble_a generous_a refuse_v of_o it_o the_o more_o i_o resist_v the_o more_o i_o find_v of_o peace_n and_o the_o most_o please_a temptation_n deny_v bring_v with_o it_o the_o sweet_a consolation_n xxxiv_o it_o be_v better_a to_o prevent_v sin_n than_o to_o admit_v it_o and_o then_o mortify_v it_o if_o sin_n enter_v it_o must_v be_v dislodge_v again_o and_o it_o be_v far_o easy_a to_o prevent_v than_o to_o
