and_o this_o flesh_n of_o christ_n be_v incomparable_o better_a and_o more_o true_o meat_n indeed_o in_o regard_n of_o its_o effect_n than_o corporal_a food_n can_v be_v because_o it_o do_v better_a and_o more_o perfect_o nourish_v the_o soul_n of_o believer_n then_o corporal_a food_n
do_v their_o body_n this_o be_v corruptible_a food_n which_o give_v temporal_a life_n only_o but_o that_o spiritual_a and_o incorruptible_a food_n which_o give_v life_n eternal_a 6._o i_o conclude_v this_o chapter_n with_o this_o consideration_n when_o a_o doctrine_n be_v propose_v which_o be_v pretend_v to_o be_v divine_a and_o that_o passage_n of_o holy_a scripture_n be_v allege_v for_o the_o proof_n of_o it_o if_o it_o oppose_v or_o seem_v to_o oppose_v sense_n and_o reason_n and_o to_o include_v contradiction_n and_o that_o a_o more_o suitable_a and_o rational_a sense_n can_v be_v find_v out_o for_o those_o passage_n so_o that_o all_o these_o inconvenience_n and_o contradiction_n may_v be_v avoid_v there_o be_v nothing_o more_o just_a than_o that_o we_o shall_v embrace_v that_o probable_a and_o rational_a sense_n and_o reject_v that_o doctrine_n which_o oppose_v sense_n and_o reason_n and_o seem_v to_o imply_v contradiction_n but_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o real_a presence_n of_o the_o manhood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o host_n and_o the_o transubstantiation_n of_o the_o bread_n into_o his_o body_n be_v repugnant_a to_o sense_n and_o reason_n and_o seem_v to_o include_v divers_a contradiction_n viz._n that_o a_o humane_a body_n be_v in_o a_o point_n without_o any_o local_a extension_n that_o a_o body_n may_v be_v in_o divers_a place_n at_o one_o and_o the_o same_o time_n that_o the_o bread_n and_o wine_n be_v change_v into_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v before_o that_o accident_n may_v be_v without_o a_o subject_n etc._n etc._n and_o the_o passage_n that_o be_v impertinent_o allege_v to_o prove_v such_o a_o presence_n and_o such_o a_o change_n have_v a_o sense_n very_o commodious_a and_o rational_a for_o the_o avoid_v all_o these_o contradiction_n as_o appear_v in_o this_o and_o the_o former_a chapter_n where_o i_o have_v very_o rational_o expound_v those_o two_o passage_n which_o the_o romish_a doctor_n impertinent_o make_v use_n of_o for_o this_o subject_n therefore_o they_o ought_v to_o embrace_v that_o commodious_a and_o rational_a sense_n which_o we_o have_v give_v they_o and_o to_o reject_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o real_a presence_n of_o the_o body_n of_o jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o host_n and_o the_o doctrine_n of_o transubstantiation_n chap._n iii_o against_o transubstantiation_n 1._o transubstantiation_n be_v the_o substantial_a conversion_n of_o the_o bread_n and_o wine_n into_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n which_o i_o destroy_v by_o divers_a argument_n the_o first_o whereof_o be_v this_o in_o every_o substantial_a conversion_n that_o thing_n into_o which_o another_o thing_n be_v convert_v be_v always_o new_o produce_v for_o example_n when_o seed_n be_v convert_v into_o a_o animal_n that_o animal_n be_v new_o produce_v when_o jesus_n christ_n turn_v the_o water_n into_o wine_n the_o wine_n be_v new_o produce_v etc._n etc._n but_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n can_v be_v new_o produce_v in_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o eucharist_n therefore_o the_o bread_n and_o wine_n be_v not_o substantial_o convert_v into_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o eucharist_n the_o second_o proposition_n viz._n that_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n can_v be_v new_o produce_v i_o prove_v thus_o that_o which_o be_v new_o produce_v receive_v a_o new_a be_v because_o to_o produce_v a_o thing_n and_o to_o give_v it_o a_o be_v be_v one_o and_o the_o same_o but_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o follow_v that_o the_o wine_n be_v already_o change_v into_o his_o blood_n because_o it_o be_v not_o probable_a that_o jesus_n christ_n say_v to_o they_o drink_v you_o all_o of_o this_o cup_n of_o blood_n and_o yet_o that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o cup_n of_o blood_n but_o a_o cup_n of_o wine_n but_o when_o jesus_n christ_n say_v drink_v you_o all_o of_o this_o he_o do_v not_o speak_v to_o they_o of_o a_o cup_n of_o blood_n for_o the_o wine_n be_v not_o then_o convert_v into_o christ_n blood_n because_o according_a to_o our_o adversary_n it_o be_v not_o change_v until_o jesus_n christ_n have_v make_v a_o end_n of_o utter_v these_o follow_a word_n for_o this_o be_v my_o blood_n but_o he_o utter_v these_o word_n drink_v you_o all_o of_o this_o before_o he_o utter_v those_o for_o this_o be_v my_o blood_n because_o a_o man_n must_v utter_v a_o proposition_n before_o he_o can_v give_v the_o reason_n of_o it_o 4._o three_o when_o a_o thing_n be_v convert_v into_o another_o we_o can_v see_v the_o effect_n and_o property_n of_o the_o thing_n convert_v but_o only_o of_o that_o into_o which_o it_o be_v convert_v for_o example_n when_o the_o seed_n be_v change_v into_o a_o animal_n we_o can_v see_v no_o more_o the_o effect_n and_o property_n of_o the_o seed_n but_o of_o the_o animal_n only_o and_o when_o jesus_n christ_n turn_v the_o water_n into_o wine_n the_o effect_n property_n and_o accident_n of_o the_o water_n be_v no_o more_o see_v but_o of_o the_o wine_n only_o etc._n etc._n but_o in_o the_o eucharist_n we_o can_v after_o the_o consecration_n perceive_v the_o effect_n property_n accident_n or_o part_n of_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n but_o we_o see_v there_o all_o the_o effect_n property_n and_o accident_n of_o bread_n and_o wine_n therefore_o in_o
