to_o apprehend_v it_o for_o this_o be_v the_o office_n of_o the_o gospel_n 2_o cor._n 3_o 9_o 7_o 8._o the_o cause_n why_o these_o thing_n be_v impossible_a to_o the_o law_n be_v because_o it_o be_v weak_a that_o be_v uneffectual_a and_o feeble_a for_o these_o purpose_n which_o come_v not_o from_o the_o law_n but_o from_o our_o flesh_n and_o corrupt_a nature_n tim._n what_o do_v the_o flesh_n signify_v here_o silas_n that_o naughtiness_n and_o sinful_a corruption_n that_o through_o adam_n fall_n pass_v through_o all_o mankind_n and_o do_v remain_v still_o even_o in_o man_n regenerate_v but_o it_o be_v correct_v and_o reform_v in_o part_n in_o they_o and_o that_o daily_a till_o it_o be_v abolish_v tim._n what_o be_v the_o effect_n and_o fruit_n of_o this_o remain_a corruption_n and_o sin_n silas_n it_o do_v make_v the_o member_n of_o christ_n and_o new_a bear_v child_n of_o god_n unable_a perfect_o and_o full_o to_o keep_v the_o law_n as_o first_o because_o through_o force_n of_o this_o remain_a corruption_n they_o do_v diverse_a thing_n contrary_a to_o the_o law_n second_o they_o leave_v undo_v many_o good_a thing_n command_v by_o the_o law_n three_o in_o the_o good_a thing_n which_o they_o do_v there_o be_v much_o imperfection_n and_o uncleanness_n therefore_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o be_v keep_v of_o the_o most_o righteous_a that_o be_v in_o our_o creation_n it_o be_v it_o serve_v to_o humble_v we_o much_o that_o we_o can_v keep_v the_o law_n and_o that_o through_o our_o sinful_a weakness_n also_o to_o stir_v we_o up_o unto_o prayer_n for_o grace_n to_o yield_v better_a obedience_n unto_o it_o seek_v that_o strength_n from_o god_n which_o we_o have_v not_o in_o ourselves_o to_o be_v able_a in_o some_o measure_n to_o yield_v obedience_n to_o the_o law_n to_o the_o rigour_n of_o the_o law_n and_o be_v all_o stain_a by_o the_o corruption_n of_o the_o flesh_n mingle_v with_o they_o four_o this_o do_v teach_v we_o that_o see_v we_o can_v have_v justification_n from_o the_o law_n therefore_o all_o man_n must_v be_v content_a to_o deny_v themselves_o and_o go_v out_o of_o themselves_o and_o seek_v perfect_a righteousness_n in_o another_o to_o receive_v this_o move_v the_o apostle_n here_o again_o to_o mention_v such_o a_o witness_n of_o our_o be_v in_o christ_n which_o be_v outward_a and_o more_o subject_a to_o sense_n and_o therefore_o less_o apt_a to_o deceive_v namely_o newness_n of_o life_n or_o sanctification_n which_o be_v such_o a_o thing_n as_o without_o it_o we_o can_v never_o assure_v ourselves_o that_o our_o sin_n be_v forgive_v by_o christ_n and_o that_o we_o be_v free_a from_o condemnation_n for_o though_o it_o be_v not_o the_o proper_a cause_n of_o our_o comfort_n yet_o it_o be_v a_o cause_n without_o the_o work_n by_o the_o spirit_n but_o by_o remain_v flesh_n and_o dwell_a sin_n for_o the_o godly_a be_v sanctify_v in_o part_n and_o not_o perfect_o and_o whole_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o they_o be_v still_o subject_a to_o sin_n which_o as_o they_o do_v not_o commit_v by_o full_a consent_n of_o will_n so_o they_o rise_v again_o from_o it_o by_o repentance_n second_o a_o spiritual_a and_o godly_a
