ever_o for_o the_o true_a use_n and_o end_n of_o that_o prophecy_n chap._n 40._o be_v express_v in_o the_o begin_n of_o it_o comfort_v you_o comfort_v you_o my_o people_n say_v our_o god_n speak_v you_o comfortable_o to_o jerusalem_n and_o cry_v unto_o she_o that_o her_o warfare_n be_v accomplish_v that_o her_o iniquity_n be_v pardon_v for_o she_o have_v receive_v of_o the_o lord_n hand_n double_a for_o all_o her_o sin_n but_o what_o comfort_n can_v it_o be_v to_o jerusalem_n or_o to_o god_n people_n that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o be_v preach_v to_o they_o endure_v for_o ever_o when_o as_o they_o be_v but_o as_o the_o grass_n which_o wither_v the_o more_o the_o prophet_n do_v magnify_v the_o immortality_n of_o god_n word_n in_o this_o sense_n the_o more_o he_o must_v have_v increase_v the_o sad_a remembrance_n of_o their_o own_o misery_n and_o mortality_n and_o however_o isaias_n and_o other_o prophet_n have_v preach_v the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n more_o plentiful_o and_o more_o powerful_o in_o that_o age_n wherein_o he_o live_v than_o it_o have_v be_v in_o any_o age_n before_o or_o in_o any_o age_n since_o except_v the_o time_n wherein_o john_n baptist_n and_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o apostle_n live_v on_o earth_n yet_o mortality_n and_o misery_n do_v still_o grow_v fast_o upon_o this_o people_n than_o it_o have_v do_v in_o any_o age_n before_o so_o fast_o for_o four_o or_o five_o generation_n that_o this_o people_n become_v like_o grass_n wither_v by_o degree_n and_o at_o last_o to_o be_v root_v up_o the_o matter_n then_o of_o comfort_n which_o the_o prophet_n there_o promise_v to_o jerusalem_n be_v not_o in_o his_o time_n real_o exhibit_v but_o to_o be_v continual_o expect_v until_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n which_o he_o so_o magnify_v for_o its_o glory_n &_o immortality_n shall_v become_v visible_a to_o all_o flesh_n the_o comfort_n there_o prophesy_v of_o do_v consist_v in_o the_o manifestation_n of_o that_o glory_n which_o he_o then_o foretell_v shall_v be_v reveal_v for_o whatsoever_o in_o that_o chapter_n he_o utter_v be_v not_o deliver_v by_o way_n of_o common_a place_n by_o ordinary_a catechism_n of_o doctrine_n and_o use_n but_o by_o the_o extraordinary_a spirit_n of_o prophecy_n the_o issue_n of_o his_o prophecy_n be_v that_o the_o state_n and_o condition_n of_o all_o flesh_n
